This paper is attempting to verify the effect of customer satisfaction on repurchase intention in hotel industry in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a conceptual paper, the research is considered as a quantitative study. Respondents from 400 consumers are used and will be recruited on a voluntary basis. Considering the nature of the study, the complexity of the research model and the relatively small sample size, analysis of moment structure (AMOS) is selected as the statistical tool to analyse the data. The finding of the study expects to contribute to the marketers as well as practitioners with the valuable insight on the crucial of customer satisfaction and repurchase intention in the hotel sector

A study of relationship between Kelantan’s cultural heritage and tourism was conducted throughout the state. The extent of this relationship was analysed through an empirical research. There are certain elements of the cultural heritage found to be potential tourism products that need further development. It is argued that the rich cultural heritage in the state is capable of attracting tourists to visit Kelantan. The elements of socio-cultural, handicrafts, traditional games and performing arts are independent variables used in this study. The study shows that local and international tourists came to Kelantan because of its uniqueness in the cultural heritage attractions. Beside its unique culture, Kelantan is able to offer beautiful crystal beaches and fascinating kampung lifestyle. Result from discussions, interviews and observation among tourism stake holders have led to formulation of some suggestions to help further improve tourism development in the state

Blunt Renal Trauma in a Pre-Existing Renal Lesion

A 70-year-old male presented with direct trauma to his loin with gross hematuria, as an isolated case of blunt renal trauma (BRT) due to a traffic accident. A pre-existing renal lesion (PERL) was strongly suspected by his past history of gross macroscopic hematuria and monotrauma to the kidney without other associated injuries. Spiral CT scan with contrast and a retrograde pyelogram (RGP) confirmed an occult complex renal cyst. The gold standard of CT diagnosis in this situation is stressed. Computed tomography is particularly useful in evaluating traumatic injuries to kidneys with pre-existing abnormalities. The decision on the initial course of conservative management, ureteral retrograde stenting to drain extravasation, and its final outcome are discussed. Radical nephroureterectomy was carried out by a transperitoneal approach with an early vascular control of the renal pedicle. A brief review of recent literature has been undertaken

CITATION: Hussein, Z., Fawole, O. A. & Opara, U. L. 2020. Harvest and Postharvest Factors Affecting Bruise Damage of Fresh Fruits. Horticultural Plant Journal, 6(1):1-13, doi:10.1016/j.hpj.2019.07.006.The original publication is available at https://www.sciencedirect.com/journal/horticultural-plant-journalFresh fruits are susceptible to bruising, a common type of mechanical damage during harvest and at all stages of postharvest handling. In quest of developing and adoption of strategies to reduce bruise damage, it is of utmost importance to understand major factors influencing bruise susceptibility of fresh produce at these stages. This review presents a critical discussion of factors affecting bruising during harvest and postharvest handling of fresh fruits. Excessive compression forces during harvesting by handpicking or machines, and a series of impacts during harvesting, transport and packhouse operations can cause severe bruise damage. The review has further revealed that bruising is dependent on a number of other factors such as produce maturity, ripening, harvest time (during the day or season) and time lapse after harvest. The susceptibility to bruising is partly dependent on how these factors alter the produce physiological and biochemical properties, and the environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity and several other postharvest treatments. Hence, the successful applications of harvesting techniques by use of trained personnel and proper harvesting equipment are essential to reduce both the incidence and severity of bruising. Furthermore, the careful selection of postharvest handling temperature and other treatments can increase resistance of fresh produce to bruise damage.https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2468014119301943#:~:text=This%20review%20presents%20a%20critical,can%20cause%20severe%20bruise%20damage.Publishers versio
