Small Punch Test - assessment of the possibilities of the methodology and its limitations

Predmetom bakalárskej práce je zhrnutie a zhodnotenie súčasného stavu znalostí o relatívne novej metóde skúšania materiálov, tzv. penetračnej skúške (Small Punch Test). Sú naznačené prednosti aj obmedzenia metódy a uvedené problémy, s ktorými sa penetračné skúšky potýkajú pri zavádzaní do aplikačnej praxe. Okrem rozboru základných princípov penetračných skúšok je v práci kladený dôraz na popis rozdelenia skúšok na základe používaných konfigurácií skúšobných strojov a ostatných parametrov skúšok. V práci sú taktiež uvedené postupy používané k stanoveniu základných materiálových charakteristík z penetračných skúšok vrátane ich korelácie s výsledkami štandardných materiálových skúšok.The Bachelor’s thesis is aimed to sum up and consider actual state of knowledge about a relatively new method used for testing materials called Small Punch Test. There are pros and cons of the method with troubles at the application process stated in the thesis. We can read something about the basic idea of small punch testing. A big effort was spent to sort many types of tests according to used configurations of testing machines and another testing parameters. There are stated techniques used for determination some basic material properties from small punch testing also with methods of correlation to results obtained from standard material tests in the thesis.

Determination of mechanical properties of low carbon and low alloy steels via small punch tests at room and low temperatures

Predkladaná diplomová práca sa zaoberá inovatívnou metódou skúšania materiálov, tzv. penetračnou skúškou (Small Punch Test). Je naznačený základný pricíp metódy s uvedením hlavných predností a obmedzení, s ktorými sa potýkame pri skúškach na malých vzorkách. Uvedené sú postupy využívané za účelom korelácie výsledkov penetračných skúšok na hodnoty štandartne používaných materiálových parametrov. Práca obsahuje konštrukčný návrh skúšobného prípravku a výsledky meraní na 12 vzorkách v teplotnom intervale (80 až +25) °C. Bola preukázaná rôzna miera zhody teplotných závislostí mechanických parametrov stanovených z výsledkov penetračných skúšok s výsledkami štandartných skúšok, ktorá závisí najmä na voľbe vhodných prepočtových rovníc.The presented diploma thesis deals with an innovative material test, so called Small Punch Test. There are main principles, advantages and limitations of the test stated in the thesis. There are stated also correlation procedures in order to obtain standard mechanical properties. A test fixture design has been done in order to perform test procedures at temperature range from 80 to 25 °C. Twelve experimental curves have been obtained from the test and typical quantities have been evaluated. The different accuracy of correlations with standard mechanical properties has been obtained using different correlation equations.

Steam Preheater of Coke Gas

Import 23/07/2015Tématem mé diplomové práce je návrh parního předehřívače, který slouží k ohřevu koksárenského plynu. První část práce je věnována oboru koksárenství, kde je stručně popsán provoz koksovny a koksochemie. Dále se tato část zabývá vzniklými produkty koksoven a jejich možným využitím. V části o tepelných výměnících jsou vypsány základní typy výměníku dle principu výměny tepla, konstrukce a jejich možné využití. V praktické části práce je uveden návrh parního předehřívače koksárenského plynu. Tato část obsahuje kompletní tepelný výpočet předehřívače dle zadaných parametrů. V závěrečné části práce jsou uvedeny typy regulací tepelného výkonu, které je možno aplikovat do systému parního předehřívače.Topic of my diploma thesis is design of steam preheater, which is used to warming of coke oven gas. The first part is devoted specialization of coke, in this part is conciesly desribed working of a cocking plant and cock chemistry. It also deals with products generated in a cocking plant ant using of these products. There are described basic types of exchangers, their construction and possible use in the part about heat exchangers. Practice part of thesis represents design of the steam preheater of coke oven gas. There is also complete thermal calculation of preheater according to specified parameters. Design of end effector of industrial robot for folding carton boxes

Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá problematikou skladania a lepenia kartónových krabíc v priemysle. V prvej časti práce je spracovaný prehľad a rozdelenie skladacích a zalepovacích strojov dostupných na trhu. V druhej časti sa práca zameriava na konštrukčný návrh efektora, ktorý po nasadení na priemyselného robota bude schopný kontinuálne skladať a zalepovať dno kartónových krabíc rôznych rozmerov bez nutnosti ručného nastavovania. Optimálna konštrukcia vzišla z dvoch návrhových variantov, ktoré boli náležite zhodnotené multikriteriálnou analýzou. Výsledkom tejto práce je 3D model efektora, doplnený o technické výpočty a výkresovú dokumentáciu vybraných súčiastok a zostavy. Rozpracovaný je tiež možný návrh robotického pracoviska, ktorý bol stručne ekonomicky zhodnotený.This bachelor`s thesis deals with the issue of folding and sealing cardboard boxes in industry. The first part of the thesis is a processed overview and division of folding and sealing machines available on the market. In the second part, the thesis focuses on the design of the end-effector, which, after being attached on the industrial robot, will be able to continuously fold and seal the bottom of cardboard boxes of various sizes without the need for manual adjustment. The optimal design came up from two design variants that were properly evaluated by multi-criteria analysis. The result of this work is a 3D model of the end-effector, complemented by technical calculations and drawing documentation of selected parts and assembly. A possible design of a robotic workstation with brief economic evaluation is also elaborated.
