    This study aims to analyze the sensory quality of smoked fish using mixed briquette fuel (teak leaves and corncob charcoal) with 5% and 10% adhesives with smoked fish using wood fuel. The wood used for comparison is ruby (soft texture) and mahogany (hard texture). Sensory analysis in this study emphasizes the appearances, colors, smells, tastes and textures of smoked fish. To determine whether there is a significant difference or not of the four treatments on the results of smoking fish,this study use Analysis of Varians (Anova). The results showed that there were significant differences between the four methods of feeding fish using briquette and wood fuel on appearances, colors, smells and textures. The appearance, color and aroma that dominate the specifications of other smoked fish are smoked fish with 10% adhesive briquette fuel treatment. The texture of smoked fish with mahogany wood fuel shows better specifications than asp fish with other treatments. Because there is a significant difference, a further test is carried out using BNJ Test. BNJ Test must be done to find out the distinguishing relationship between samples.  Whereas in the taste test, there was no significant difference from the treatment

    AbstraCT[Comparative Analysis of the Quality of Corn Charcoal Briquettes with Teak Leaves Charcoal] This study is a preliminary study that aims to determine the quality of briquettes from different biomass raw materials, namely corncobs and teak leaves. Utilization which is still not maximized from corncobs and teak leaves in the biomass energy field made the initial thought of the study. In addition, both of these raw materials have lignocellulosic contents which are likely to be used as biomass raw materials, especially briquettes. The research method used is an experiment with the research procedure is the manufacture of the two briquettes then the products are analyzed and compared. Both of these raw materials receive the same treatment in the manufacturing process. The composition of the adhesive used is 5% of the main ingredient. The adhesive used is starch. Both briquettes were tested for quality including water content, ash content, volatility, and heating value. The results of testing the water content, ash content, volatile content, the calorific value of corn cobs briquettes and teak leaves charcoal briquettes are, respectively, 3.62% and 5.39% water content; ash content of 4.84% and 3.14%; volatile content of 11.75% and 25.86%; The heating value is 5653.99 cal / g and 7222.95 cal / g. From the results of the analysis, teak leaf charcoal briquettes dominate better quality than corn cobs charcoal briquettes, the water content of teak leaf charcoal briquettes is still higher. When compared with the SNI set value, the two briquettes have met the briquette standards that are suitable to be used as substitutes for alternative fuels.Keywords: Briquette quality; Corn cobs; teak leaves. (Received August 14, 2019; Accepted October 5, 2019; Published October 22, 2019) AbstrakPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian pendahuluan yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas briket dari bahan baku biomassa yang berbeda yaitu bonggol jagung dan daun jati. Pemanfaatan yang masih belum maksimal dari bonggol jagung dan daun jati di bidang energi biomassa menjadikan pemikiran awal penelitian. Selain  itu, kedua bahan baku ini mempunyai kandungan ligniselulosa yang berpeluang untuk dijadikan bahan baku biomassa khususnya briket. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan prosedur penelitiannya adalah pembuatan kedua briket kemudian produknya dianalisis dan dibandingkan. Kedua bahan baku ini mendapat perlakuan sama dalam proses pembuatannya. Komposisi perekat yang digunakan sebesar 5% dari bahan utama. Perekat yang digunakan adalah tepung kanji. Kedua briket diuji kualitasnya meliputi kadar air, kadar abu, volatile, dan nilai kalor. Adapun hasil pengujian kadar air, kadar abu, kandungan volatile, nilai kalor dari briket arang bonggol jagung dan briket arang daun jati berturut-turut yaitu, kadar air 3,62% dan 5,39%; kadar abu 4,84% dan 3,14%; kandungan volatile 11,75% dan 25,86%; Nilai kalor 5653,99 kal/g dan 7222,95 kal/g. Dari hasil analisis tersebut, briket arang daun jati mendominasi kualitas yang lebih bagus dibanding dengan briket arang bonggol jagung, kelemahannya kadar air briket arang daun jati masih lebih tinggi. Jika dibandingkan dengan nilai yang telah ditetapkan SNI, kedua briket tersebut telah memenuhi standar briket yang layak digunakan sebagai pengganti bahan bakar alternatif. Kata kunci: Kualitas briket; bonggol jagung; daun jati

    Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas briket dari campuran arang limbah bonggol jagung dan daun jati. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan membuat sebuah pproduk briket dan meganalisis kualitas produk briket yangdihasilkan dari nilai kadar air, kadar karbon, kadar volatile dan kalor. Variasi komposisi briketcampuran arang bonggol jagung dan daun jati 1:1, 2:1, 1:2 dengan persentase perekat tepung kanji5%, 10%, 15%. Hasilnya, Sampel yang memiliki kualitas bagus dari segi nilai kalor dan kadar abuadalah sampel C dengan kalor 7222,708 kal/g; kadar abu 3,13%, hanya saja kadar air 5,39% dankadar volatile 25,89%. Tetapi jika dilihat dari standar SNI kadar air, kadar abu, dan kalor sampel Ctelah memenuhi standar, sedangkan volatile sampel C masih melebihi batas maksimal yang ditetapkanSNI. &nbsp

    Teknologi sonic bloom merupakan teknologi ramah lingkungan yang menggunakan gelombang suara untuk merangsang pembukaan mulut daun (stomata), sehingga meningkatkan laju dan efisiensi penyerapan nutrisi melalui daun yang bermanfaat bagi tanaman. Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang Pengaruh Teknologi Soonic Bloom Menggunakan Asmaul Husna Terhadap Pertumbuhan Sawi Hijau di Desa Karangsalam Kidul Kecamatan Kedungbanteng, Kabupaten Banyumas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) Mengetahui pengaruh bacaan asmaul husna terhadap pertumbuhan benih tanaman sawi hijau; (2) Mengetahui signifikansi bacaan asmaul husna terhadap pertumbuhan benih tanaman sawi hijau. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan yaitu (A) Suara Musik Klasik, (B) perlakuan control tanpa suara, dan (C) suara bacaan asmaul husna. Suara yang diberikan memiliki taraf intensitas bunyi sebesar 64,3-73,3 dB. Dari hasil penelitian ini diketahui bahwa : (1) Paparan suara bacaan Asmaul Husna berpengaruh paling tinggi terhadap daya perkecambahan, panjang daun dan lebar daun sawi hijau bila dibandingkan dengan paparan suara music klasik dan tanpa suara. (2) Hasil uji ANOVA menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada lebar daun sawi hijau dengan perlakuan pemberian suara musik klasik, tanpa suara dan bacaan Asmaul Husna.Sonic bloom is an eco-friendly technology that uses sound waves to stimulate stomata to open which then increases the rate and efficiency of nutrient absorption in the leaves. This research examined the Effect of Soonic Bloom Using Asmaul Husna on the Growth of Mustard Green plants in Karangsalam Kidul Village, Kedungbanteng Sub-district, Banyumas District. This research was intended to: (1) determine the effect of Asmaul Husna reading on the growth of mustard green plants; (2) identify the significance of the Asmaul Husna reading on the growth of mustard green seeds. A completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments was employed, namely (A) using classical music, (B) silent control treatment, and (C) using Asmaul Husna recording. The sound intensity ranged from 64.3-73.3 dB. The results of this research showed that: (1) exposure to Asmaul Husna reading had the highest effect on the germination process, leaf length and mustard green leaves width of other treatments, (2) the ANOVA test outcome indicated a significant difference in the width of mustard green leaves exposed to classical music compared to the ones exposed to silent treatment and Asmaul Husna reading

    Development of MOCAF flour up to now has been quite fast, but the level of public acceptance of MOCAF flour as a substitute for using wheat flour and tapioca is not high. Based on this, the comparative analysis of the physical characteristics of wheat flour, tapioca flour and MOCAF Nuflour flour is very important to carry out, with the aim of the physical characteristics of wheat flour and tapioca flour can be used as a reference in making MOCAF flour to match the flour to be substituted in the food processing process. The analytical method used was density testing and elastic modulus measurement for each type of flour. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the density of flour from the highest was wheat flour (0.525 g/m3), tapioca flour (0.506 g/m3) and mocaf flour (NuFlour) (0.345 g/m3). Whereas for solid density, the highest yields were obtained, namely wheat flour (0.875 g/m3), tapioca flour (0.714 g/m3), and finally mocaf flour (NuFlour) (0.525 g/m3)

    Broiler chicken farming in Indonesia makes a real contribution to development, has a strategic value in fulfilling the need for animal protein and has a role in taking advantage of job opportunities. However, broiler chicken farms also have a negative impact on the environment such as pollution caused by livestock waste that is not managed properly. The purpose of this research is to determine the quality of water sources physically, chemically and biologically and to determine whether there is pollution or not. This research was conducted using a survey method. The research target is the community around the broiler chicken farm at a distance of 0-375 m from the cage with a sample of 45% of the total population. Sampling using purposive random sampling method. The results showed that the measurement of water quality in residential wells near broiler chicken farms exceeded the class I water quality threshold according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 concerning Water Quality Management and Water Pollution Control and in general, the quality of community well water has been polluted. &nbsp

    Selada Keriting Hijau atau di Indonesia lebih dikenal sebagai selada bokor adalah salah satu komoditas yang memiliki prospek yang cerah untuk dibudidayakan. Selada Keriting Hijau dipanen pada umur 25 - 35 hari. Harga Selada Keriting Hijau di pasaran dapat mencapai Rp. 10.000 sampai dengan Rp. 15.000 per kg. Salah satu metode hidroponik yang dapat dilakukan pada budidaya tanaman Selada Keriting Hijau di dalam ruangan adalah sistem hidroponik dengan kabut atau biasa disebut Fogponic. Fogponic merupakan sistem hidroponik yang dikembangkan dari metode Aeroponik, menggunakan ultrasonik fogger atau alat pengabut untuk mengabutkan nutrisi ke akar tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1). Membuat rancang bangun piranti sistem kontrol suhu air, kepekatan larutan dan tinggi muda air nutrisi Fogponic pada Pertanian Indoor. 2). Membuat Automatic Ultrasonic Fogger untuk memaksimalkan nutrisi ke akar tanaman Selada Keriting Hijau. 3), Mengevaluasi kinerja sistem Automatic Ultrasonic Fogger dengan terintegrasi terhadap Internet of Things (IoT) melalui website Thingspeak. Rancang Bangun Fogponik menggunakan Ultrasonic Fogger dapat memaksimalkan air yang sedikit untuk kebutuhan tanaman. Meskipun pada penggunaan LED Grow Light belum bisa menggantikan cahaya matahari pada Greenhouse. Automatic Ultrasonic Fogger bekerja sesuai jadwal pada pukul 06.00, 08.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00 dan 18.00. Selain itu akan bekerja pada saat mesin pengabut mendeteksi ketinggian air berkurang sehingga memberi notifikasi untuk penambahan air nutrisi. Sistem kerja Fogponik dapat menghidupkan tanaman selada keriting hijau dan lebih baik daripada Hidroponik Deep Water Culture (DWC). Namun tidak berbeda nyata dengan Bubbleponik dan masih kalah dibandingkan Aeroponik sederhana.Lettuce or in Indonesia better known as bokor lettuce is a commodity that has bright prospects for cultivation. One of the hydroponic methods that can be carried out for cultivating Green Curly Lettuce plants indoors is a hydroponic system with fog or commonly called Fogponic. Fogponic is a hydroponic system developed from the Aeroponic method, using an ultrasonic fogger or atomizer to atomize nutrients to plant roots. The aims of this research are 1). Designing a water temperature control system device, solution concentration and light height of Fogponic nutrient water in Indoor Agriculture. 2). Create an Automatic Ultrasonic Fogger to maximize nutrition to the roots of Green Curly Lettuce plants. 3), Evaluate the performance of the Automatic Ultrasonic Fogger system by integrating it with the Internet of Things (IoT) via the Thingspeak website. Fogponic design using Ultrasonic Fogger can maximize the little water needed by plants. Even though the use of LED Grow Light cannot replace sunlight in Greenhouses. Automatic Ultrasonic Fogger works according to schedule at 06.00, 08.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00 and 18.00. Besides that, it will work when the fogging machine detects the water level is decreasing so that it gives a notification to add nutrient water. The Fogponics work system can revive green curly lettuce plants and is better than Deep Water Culture (DWC) Hydroponics. However, it is not significantly different from Bubbleponik and still inferior to simple Aeroponics
