On the existence of solutions of a critical elliptic equation involving Hardy potential on compact Riemannian manifolds.
In this paper, we are interested in the study of the problem of existence of solutions of an elliptic equation with Hardy potential and critical Sobolev exponent on a compact Riemannian manifold
Stochastic Analysis of Two Non-identical Unit Parallel System Incorporating Waiting Time and Preventive Maintenance
The reliability of two non-identical unit’s parallel system with two kinds of failures common cause failure and partial failures is inspected. Moreover, the preventive maintenance and waiting time to repair, a significant aspect of reliability analysis, has also been incorporated. The proposed system is assumed to a function properly if at least one of the unit is in operate mode. The system goes for preventive maintenance at random apaches. Supplementary variable technique and Laplace transform have used for solution. Our results are compared with the previous results to observe the effect of preventive maintenance and failure rates on system performance
APPLYING METAMORPHOSIS PHILOSOPHY TO REVIVE THE ABANDONED BUILDINGS
The metamorphosis philosophy is related to architecture, for instance this translation is showcased in the transformation of spaces in buildings that is either done by the destruction or modification of the architectural product. Unfortunately, many buildings, structures and spaces are left abandoned because of changing situations, war, or natural causes. These abandoned buildings can increase the crime rate and leave lands covered in leftover spaces which can have drastic consequences on the environment. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to propose a set of design approaches that can apply the philosophy of metamorphosis in the revival of abandoned buildings with the goal of discovering adaptive solutions for abandoned buildings through their transformation. Hence, to accomplish this aim, this paper will cover accordingly a literature review, desk research case studies and previous readings about the relation of metamorphosis to abandoned buildings. Through the analysis, the research will detect ways of applying space transformation to abandoned buildings and will test the role of metamorphosis in reviving a place. That being the case, the paper will highlight on the reuse of abandoned buildings in Mar Mikhael, Lebanon as a case study
Fracture analysis of defect Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride pipes based on burst pressure and prediction their fraction of life
Most Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) resins contain 63-69 % chlorine, in particular those used for the extrusion of plumbing tubes, due to this chlorination of basic PVC, CPVC offers a mixture of corrosion resistance and low installation costs for its main applications requiring service in non-ambient conditions. CPVC replaces copper owing to its economic gain and by virtue of its pressure resistance characteristics. In this article, we have been interested in fracture analysis and damage modeling of CPVC tubes by subject CPVC samples to burst pressure tests. We performed a set of burst tests on virgin and artificially damaged CPVC pipe at different notch lengths, then submitted the specimens to burst pressure tests, in addition to recording the pressure and time during these tests for use in conducting the study. The results of the burst tests were exploited to estimate the damage and reliability of the material, these two parameters allow us to follow the degradation of the pipes used; subsequently, we determined a new relationship between these two parameters through the fraction life. This makes it possible to predict the moment of damage acceleration and to intervene at the right time for engaging predictive maintenance
This article is part of an exploratory study, which aims to analyze the financial behaviors of SMEs, this analysis aims to understand the financing behaviors of small and medium enterprises, explain their reactions and perceptions in relation to the diversity of the banking and financial system in terms of existing sources of financing, test the validity of classical financial theories applicable to SMEs, know their financial preferences, and also understand how they make their financing decisions while keeping the assumption of the complexity of accessing it, based on the analysis of factors related to this category of enterprise. In order to achieve this analysis, the methodology consisted in dividing the work into two levels of analysis, namely a univariate study, through which we tried to explain their financial behavior, a bivariate study that allowed us to show the impact of internal and external factors, as well as their dependencies with respect to their financial decisions, using the KHI2 test. The study was based on the analysis of a questionnaire consisting of 30 questions, which was sent to 49 SMEs, of different activities and on the whole national territory.
These studies have yielded relevant results that are validated by scientific tests. Based on the sample studied, cross-analyses have shown that access to financing for SMEs depends on their risk appetite. Similarly, access to finance for this category of company does not depend on their asset structure. More than 53% of SMEs break off their transactions with the banking system because of high financing costs.
Following the results obtained, it is to deduce that the SME are subject to certain factors which determine their financial behaviors, which are more or less heterogeneous. This heterogeneity has been the subject of several theories and several researches works, especially in terms of financial theories adapted to the SME. The latter is still the subject of studies, given that they are complex elements that change according to the factors and their environment, which leads to perpetual changes and therefore, heterogeneous financial behavior.

Pan African Medical Journal 2016; 2
