The purpose of this article is to explore the concept of Philosophy within the works written by Wittgenstein if we take into account the ambivalent sense of the term phármakon. Thus, it will be outlined a contest of paradoxes between, on the one hand, healthiness, sanity, and the adaptable confidence produced by western rationality materialized into objective science, and, on the other hand, sickness, insanity, the world of perplexities, and the realm of desire and death, essential to philosophical thought. Bearing in mind last Wittgenstein’s approaches, we will understand the Tractatus both critical to the deficiencies of western Reason and imprisoned within them. But the “enchanting” power of western Reason, conducting to identify rationality and scientificity in that work, will be conjured in the last Wittgenstein through the opening of plural realms of rationality and of discourses. In this way, philosophical questions will be rescued from silence and absurdity

A clinically compatible drug-screening platform based on organotypic cultures identifies vulnerabilities to prevent and treat brain metastasis.

We report a medium-throughput drug-screening platform (METPlatform) based on organotypic cultures that allows to evaluate inhibitors against metastases growing in situ. By applying this approach to the unmet clinical need of brain metastasis, we identified several vulnerabilities. Among them, a blood–brain barrier permeable HSP90 inhibitor showed high potency against mouse and human brain metastases at clinically relevant stages of the disease, including a novel model of local relapse after neurosurgery. Furthermore, in situ proteomic analysis applied to metastases treated with the chaperone inhibitor uncovered a novel molecular program in brain metastasis, which includes biomarkers of poor prognosis and actionable mechanisms of resistance. Our work validates METPlatform as a potent resource for metastasis research integrating drug-screening and unbiased omic approaches that is compatible with human samples. Thus, this clinically relevant strategy is aimed to personalize the management of metastatic disease in the brain and elsewhere.post-print4540 K

The entrance of a bachelor to a university is one more step to continue improving, to reach your dreams, goals or desires so that in a future you can have a calm life and prosper next to your loved ones, but if this goal is truncated because the university is very far away and does not have the necessary resources to take advantage of that opportunity. That is why the objective of this work is to explore whether the internal migration that occurs in our country to enter higher education by young high school graduates can be represented as a risk factor in the social, economic and health fields. We designed a deductive, observational and comparative research of all the positive and negative factors that are reflected in this social problem, In my case I am part of this big problematic circle where I have had both economic and family problems to carry my higher education but with the help of people who appreciate me I have been able to continue studying and I know that many young people with the same immigration problem that I have had to drop out of school or resort to the consumption of drugs for not knowing how to face not to continue studying or not to have the support of their relatives and that is where this research will try to bring together all the factors that truncate a student to get ahead, excel and finish their college career.El ingreso de un bachiller a una universidad es un escalón más para seguir superándose, alcanzar sus sueños, metas o deseos para que en un futuro pueda tener una vida tranquila y prospera a lado de sus seres queridos, pero si esta meta se ve truncada porque la universidad está muy lejos y no cuenta con los recursos necesarios para aprovechar esa oportunidad. Es por eso que el objetivo de este trabajo es explorar si la migración interna que se da en nuestro país para poder ingresar a la educación superior por parte de los jóvenes bachilleres, puede ser representada como un factor de riesgo en los ámbitos sociales, económicos y de salud. Se diseñó una investigación deductiva, observacional y de comparación propia de todos los factores positivos y negativo que se reflejan en este problema social, en mi caso soy parte de este gran círculo problemático donde yo he tenido problemas tanto económicos como familiares para conllevar mis estudios superiores pero con la ayuda de personas que me aprecian he podido seguir estudiando y sé que muchos jóvenes con el mismo problema migratorio que yo han debido abandonar los estudios o recurren al consumo de estupefacientes por no saber cómo afrontar el no seguir estudiando o no contar con el apoyo de sus allegados y es ahí donde esta investigación tratara de juntar todos los factores que truncan a un estudiante a salir adelante, sobresalir y acabar su carrera universitaria
