    [Implementation of Myusrati Prophetic Module in Student Human Development at The Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (Acis), Uitm Shah Alam]

    MyUsrati is a prophetic module designed specifically for human development that focuses on becoming a student. This module is holistic in nature that integrates the cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains. It is in line with the direction and strategic plan of UiTM based on ESI (Excellence Synergy Integrity) and iDART (discipline of diligent, trust and responsibility), to produce competent, skilled and excellent students. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the implementation of MyUsrati modules using quantitative methods questionnaire involving 264 respondents among semester 1 students October 2020-February 2021 session at the level of Bachelor of Halal Industry Management and Muamalat, Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies, ACIS Shah Alam. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in percentage form. The results of the study found that the MyUsrati module is very significant on the formation of students' personality, including cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. MyUsrati merupakan modul profetik yang dirangka khusus bagi pembangunan insan yang memberi fokus terhadap kemenjadian mahasiswa. Modul ini bersifat holistik yang mengintegrasikan domain kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Ia selaras dengan hala tuju dan pelan strategik UiTM berasaskan ESI (Excellence Synergy Integrity) dan iDART (ilmu disiplin amanah, rajin, tanggungjawab) bagi melahirkan mahasiswa yang kompeten, berketerampilan dan unggul.  Justeru, kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai perlasanaan modul MyUsrati yang telah dilaksanakan. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kuantitatif menggunapakai soal selidik yang melibatkan 264 respondan dalam kalangan pelajar semester 1 sesi Oktober 2020-Februari 2021 di peringkat Sarjana Muda Pengurusan Industri Halal dan Muamalat, Akademi Pengajian Islam Kontemporari, ACIS Shah Alam. Data dianalisa secara deskriptif dan dipersembahkan dalam bentuk peratusan. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa modul MyUsrati sangat signifikan terhadap pembentukan sakhsiah para pelajar merangkumi aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor

    Malaysian Hotel Certification in the Islamic Tourism Industry

    Shariah compliant hotel is an essential product in Islamic tourism where many activities could be available there. Thus, certification plays a significant role as a symbol of commitment for the hotel operators to comply with the Shariah principles. By using qualitative methodology, this study aims to explore the Malaysian certification bodies that offer Islamic related certificates to the hotel. There is no standardisation on the certification requirements and approach among the certification bodies to certify the Shariah compliant hotel. Thus, the government should introduce a mechanism to monitor certification to the Shariah compliant hotel.     STEM Education Elements in Islamic Studies Syllabus in Malaysia

    STEM education integrates science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics knowledge that is emphasized in Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025. A few STEM elements are drawn in Islamic Education syllabus in the lower forms. This study aims to examine the extent to which STEM elements are absorbed in form one to three Islamic Education syllabus. Qualitative study framework that analyses the extent of STEM elements existence in Islamic Education syllabus based on syllabus perception. Excellent and efficient teaching can inculcate students' interest in science, and the awareness of its integration with Islamic religion is needed for the ummah and Islamic civilization advancement.   Keywords: STEM Education, Syllabus, Islamic Education eISSN: 2398-4287 © 2022.     Pemikiran Ahmad Mustafa al-Maraghi dalam tafsir al-Maraghi dan pengaruhnya terhadap pengajian tafsir di Malaysia / Amiratul Munirah Yahaya

    This research examines the thoughts of Ahmad Mustafa al-Maraghi (1883-1952) in Tafsir al-Maraghi and his influence towards Quranic exegesis in Malaysia. The book of Tafsir al-Maraghi, with modern approach of Quranic exegesis, encompasses of Abduh’s thoughts using al-Adabi wa al-Ijtima'i method which links the interpretation of the meanings of Quranic verses with the social-cultural issues in the society. Through al-Maraghi’s writing, the ‘Kaum Muda’ of the mid-20th century widespread the reformist thoughts of al-Maraghi who teachers were Shaykh Muhammad 'Abduh and Sayyid Muhammad Rashid Rida. The research objectives are to present the biography of al-Maraghi, introduce his book Tafsir al-Maraghi, clarify his thoughts in the book from faith, political, social and economy, and examine the influence of al-Maraghi’s tafsir through Quranic studies in Malaysia. The study of the influence of al-Maraghi’s thoughts by teaching and Malay’s tafsir writings through his book, Tafsir al-Maraghi was theorized based on the Theory of Diffusion of Innovation by Barbara Wejnert (2002). The duration of study of the influence on teaching in Malaysia was between 1945-1965. Data collection of this qualitative research was done through library research, documentation analysis and semi-structured interview. The data analysis methods used were inductive, deductive and comparative methods with the application of descriptive statistics. The finding of the research shows that the teaching of the Quranic exegesis using Tafsir al-Maraghi between 1945-1965 occurred in Kelantan, Perak and Melaka. The ‘Kaum Muda’ popularized reformist method of interpretation of Quranic verses. In fact the tafsir book was used in the syllabus of tafsir subject at Arabic secondary schools, and became the main reference in tafsir writings written in the Malay Languages until today in Malaysia which indirectly outspread the thoughts of al-Maraghi’s

    <p>This study discusses about teaching and learning method of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematic) in the Islamic education of disabled students in Malaysia, specifically those with vision, hearing, and cerebral palsy problems. The stress on using STEAM method as teaching and learning Islamic education has become important to transform knowledge of the 21st century and should be acquired and practiced by students at all levels including disabled students. The objective of this study is to examine the teaching and learning methods of STEAM in the elements of Islamic education on disabled students specifically those disabled in vision and hearing, and cerebral palsy. This study will also analyze the challenges of applying teaching and learning STEAM, and its mechanisms and application on disabled students. The study is a case-study qualitative research. The data collection methods include library study on the primary and secondary sources of data on disabled students in elements of Islamic education. This study employed semi-structure interviews in which the interviewees are teachers teaching Islamic education to students having cerebral palsy. While the data analysis will apply methods of inductive and deductive document analysis. Based on the research findings, a special STEAM curriculum will be developed to assist understanding of applying teaching and learning methods of STEAM on Islamic education for disabled students to ensure the effectiveness of assessment mechanism to these disabled students. The elements of Islamic education will be selectively focused as to the challenges faced by disabled students at this COVID-19 endemic time. Thus it is significant to develop the STEAM curriculum in teaching and learning method which will produce more effective human capital and mechanism of assessment.  </p><p> </p&gt
