Pueda que de los mitos griegos, Libia, en sus dimensiones simbólicas, es menos reconocido en la imaginación contemporánea. Sin embargo, sin narrativas de Libia, sería difícil inducir un número de lecciones de los cuales algunos de los peores aprietos han podido ser regulados. Por ejemplo, entre los descendientes de Libia se encuentran Cadmos y Europa, Jocasta y Oedipus, Antigone y Ismene. Libia no tiene entrada autónoma en un número de diccionarios populares de analectas míticas y religiosas. Esa ausencia es sorprendente. Una de las compañeras de Poseidón, el dios de mar, en la línea genealógica de la casa de Argos, Libia es una descendente directa de Zeus e Io, y, a través de Ephanus y Memphis, la abuela de Aegyptos y Danaos. Un personaje eponímico, Libia activa múltiples líneas figurativas. El nombre de la madre de Agenor y Belus también sirve para designaciones geográficas. En esta maniobra esta puesto como símbolo polisemico en las narrativas históricas y míticas. La interferencia pasó al latino, y esta bien atestiguada en los clásicos

Biopreservation of hepatocytes: current concepts on hypothermic preservation, cryopreservation, and vitrification

Isolated liver cells (primarily isolated hepatocytes) have found important applications in science and medicine over the past 40 years in a wide range of areas, including physiological studies, investigations on liver metabolism, organ preservation and drug de-toxification, experimental and clinical transplantation. An integral component of many of these works is the need to store the isolated cells, either for short or long-term periods. This review covers the biopreservation of liver cells, with a focus on the history of liver cell biopreservation, the application of hypothermia for short-term storage, standard cryopreservation methods for isolated hepatocytes, the biopreservation of other types of liver cells, and recent developments such as vitrification of hepatocytes. By understanding the basis for the different approaches, it will be possible to select the best options for liver cell biopreservation in different applications, and identify ways to improve preservation protocols for the future.Fil: Fuller, Barry J.. Phase soliton and pairing symmetry of a two-band superconductor: Role of the proximity effect

We suggest a mechanism which promotes the existence of a phase soliton -- topological defect formed in the relative phase of superconducting gaps of a two-band superconductor with s+- type of pairing. This mechanism exploits the proximity effect with a conventional s-wave superconductor which favors the alignment of the phases of the two-band superconductor which, in the case of s+- pairing, are pi-shifted in the absence of proximity. In the case of a strong proximity such effect can be used to reduce soliton's energy below the energy of a soliton-free state thus making the soliton thermodynamically stable. Based on this observation we consider an experimental setup, applicable both for stable and metastable solitons, which can be used to distinguish between s+- and s++ types of pairing in the iron-based multiband superconductors.Comment: New references, added discussion about self-consistency of the GL description of a phase soliton in the presence of a proximity patc

Supply Chain Management for Digital Enterprise, Psychological Aspect of Adaptation

Abstract- Information inaccuracy can adversely affect supply chain performances by lack of inventories, delay in delivery times, lost sales and decreased customer satisfaction. The article deals with the little-studied scientific problem of the psychological aspect of digital enterprise management in the fuel and energy complex and its high-tech enterprises. The purpose of this study, described in the article, is to develop the approaches to the use of digital enterprise personnel psychological management, which allows it to become value-oriented, adaptive to virtual technologies, psychologically resistant to changes and effective in supply chain management. The study used the methods of situational, structural and dynamic analysis, which provided the opportunity to study the psychology of digital enterprise management, to trace its changes in time, space and in close relationship with other phenomena. They used the systematic approach during the evaluation of digital enterprise management psychology. The study allowed to obtain scientific and practical results and conclusions. It noted that despite the revolutionary development of information technologies at digital enterprises and the increasing use of the virtual environment during the work with information, a person remains the main subject of activity. His subconscious is the deep layers of human existence, more and more involved in the processes of digitalization. However, this should not happen spontaneously. The subconscious mind can be edited by the employee himself and, with the help of special methods and techniques, be maintained at enterprises via psychological management in such a way that the digitalization processes do not conflict with the main value orientations of an individual, society and a state. The use of value-oriented psychology of management at digital enterprises of the fuel and energy sector will increase their stability, will enrich the culture of digital production and will improve the key performance of supply chain indicators significantly through the use of a psychological factor

There are analyzed the main constitutional schools of remedial court activity, support of defense of constitutional rights and freedoms of the person and citizen from the judicial authority bodies. There is opened the place, the role and the significance of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in the constitutional and legal mechanism of the defense of rights and freedoms of the person and the citizen. There are considered the relevant problems of the development of the constitutional and legal provision of the judicial defense of the rights and freedoms of the person and the citizen in Ukraine, in particular the introduction of the constitutional grievance institution, provision of the reasonable term of consideration of the case of the courts of general jurisdiction, juridical provision of execution the decision of the court as the component of the process of the realization of the person's rights on the judicial tlefense. The attention is also paid to the problems of reconciliation of the practice of European court of the person's rights in the activity of judicial bodies of Ukraine and execution of its decisions. In terms of the analyses of the regulatory legal material, literary sources and judicial practice there are stated theoretical conclusions and recommendations in terms of development of the judicial defense of the rights and the freedoms of the person and citizen

Treatment of adult-onset Still's disease: a review

Adult-onset Still's disease (AOSD) is a rare inflammatory disorder that has been recently classified as a polygenic autoinflammatory disorder. The former classification, based on the disease course, seems to be quite dated. Indeed, there is accumulating evidence that AOSD can be divided into two distinct phenotypes based on cytokine profile, clinical presentation, and outcome, ie, a "systemic" pattern and an "articular" pattern. The first part of this review deals with the treatments that are currently available for AOSD. We then present the different strategies based on the characteristics of the disease according to clinical presentation. To do so, we focus on the two subsets of the disease. Finally, we discuss the management of life-threatening complications of AOSD, along with the therapeutic options during pregnancy

A Container-Based Workflow for Distributed Training of Deep Learning Algorithms in HPC Clusters

Deep learning has been postulated as a solution for numerous problems in different branches of science. Given the resource-intensive nature of these models, they often need to be executed on specialized hardware such graphical processing units (GPUs) in a distributed manner. In the academic field, researchers get access to this kind of resources through High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters. This kind of infrastructures make the training of these models difficult due to their multi-user nature and limited user permission. In addition, different HPC clusters may possess different peculiarities that can entangle the research cycle (e.g., libraries dependencies). In this paper we develop a workflow and methodology for the distributed training of deep learning models in HPC clusters which provides researchers with a series of novel advantages. It relies on udocker as containerization tool and on Horovod as library for the distribution of the models across multiple GPUs. udocker does not need any special permission, allowing researchers to run the entire workflow without relying on any administrator. Horovod ensures the efficient distribution of the training independently of the deep learning framework used. Additionally, due to containerization and specific features of the workflow, it provides researchers with a cluster-agnostic way of running their models. The experiments carried out show that the workflow offers good scalability in the distributed training of the models and that it easily adapts to different clusters.Comment: Under review for Cluster Computin
