Benchmarking the RDF(S) interoperability of ontology tools

Get PDF
The number of ontology tools, such as ontology editors and repositories, is constantly rising. Ideally, one could use them all seamlessly and thus benefit from all the functionalities they offer. As shown in previous EON workshops, interoperability among different development tools is not straightforward since ontology editors rely on specific internal knowledge models which are translated into common formats such as RDF(S). This paper addresses the urgent need for interoperability by providing an exhaustive set of RDF(S) benchmarks and demonstrating in an extensive field study the state-of-the-art of interoperability among six ontology tools. From the field study we have compiled a comprehensive set of best practices which may serve as guidelines. Tool developers benefit from having guidelines to design their import and export functionalities and a concrete set of benchmarks against which they can evaluate their import and export functionalities. Ontology engineers benefit from our work by having an overview to which extend interoperability is ensured for combinations of specific tools

Diffusion dynamics on multiplex networks

Get PDF
We study the time scales associated to diffusion processes that take place on multiplex networks, i.e. on a set of networks linked through interconnected layers. To this end, we propose the construction of a supra-Laplacian matrix, which consists of a dimensional lifting of the Laplacian matrix of each layer of the multiplex network. We use perturbative analysis to reveal analytically the structure of eigenvectors and eigenvalues of the complete network in terms of the spectral properties of the individual layers. The spectrum of the supra-Laplacian allows us to understand the physics of diffusion-like processes on top of multiplex networks.Comment: 6 Pages including supplemental material. Measurement of the hyperfine splitting of the 6S1/2_{1/2} level in rubidium

We present a measurement of the hyperfine splitting of the 6S1/2_{1/2} excited level of rubidium using two photon absorption spectroscopy in a glass cell. The values we obtain for the magnetic dipole constant A are 239.18(03) MHz and 807.66(08) MHz for 85^{85}Rb and 87^{87}Rb, respectively. The combination of the magnetic moments of the two isotopes and our measurements show a hyperfine anomaly in this atomic excited state. The observed hyperfine anomaly difference has a value of 87δ85=0.0036(2)_{87}\delta_{85}=-0.0036(2) due to the finite distribution of nuclear magnetization, the Bohr-Weisskopf effect.Comment: 12 pages, 14 figure

Get PDF
<br /

In this study the certificate of incorporation and the handling of the file of the collative chaplaincy founded in 1900 in the Santiago’s Church in Villena are described and analysed. This chaplaincy made possible that the Servants of Jesus took over the local hospital care and it entailed the collaboration of the city Council.
