    Analisis faktor adalah suatu analisis yang digunakan untuk meringkas informasi atau data jika dalam suatu penelitian terdapat berbagai variabel. Kebanyakan dari variabel-variabel dari data penelitian tersebut saling berkorelasi dan harus diperkecil jumlahnya sehingga dapat diperoleh data yang konseptual dan mudah dikelola. Proses analisis faktor dilakukan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi pelayanan pada FMIPA Unpatti. Berdasarkan matriks korelasi, diperoleh 5 variabel yang mempunyai nilai eigen di atas 1, artinya beberapa variabel tereduksi dan menghasilkan variabel baru yang disebut faktor. Faktor baru yang terbentuk merupakan kumpulan dari variabel-variabel dengan nilai loading yang tinggi yaitu di atas 0,3. Di antara 15 variabel awal setelah diproses, diperoleh 5 faktor baru. Kelima faktor baru tersebut meliputi Kenyamanan, biaya perkuliahan, penerimaan beasiswa, biaya tambahan serta fasilitas pada FMIP

    Multi-Scale Phylogenomics of Gadiformes With Emphasis on Hakes (Merluccius, Merlucciidae)

    Gadiformes include some of the most important commercially harvested fishes in the world (e.g. cods, hakes, and grenadiers). Currently, different authors recognize anywhere between 11 and 14 families, approximately 84 genera, and over 600 species. The monophyly of the order has been supported by both morphological and molecular data, yet the relationships among families and subfamilies remain poorly understood and interpreting phylogenetic patterns to date has been difficult. My dissertation research on multi-scale phylogenetics of Gadiformes with emphasis on hakes (Merluccius, Merlucciidae) has three primary objectives: (1) to improve the understanding of the phylogenetic relationships among families of Gadiformes (Teleostei); (2) to analyze the phylogenetic relationships within the family Merlucciidae (Merluccius) and (3) to explore the evolution of the caudal skeleton using molecular, morphological and ecological data. in chapter two, a gene capture approach was used, targeting coding DNA sequences (CDS) from single-copy protein-coding genes to study the higher-level relationships (i.e., above the genus level) of Gadiformes. Matrices of 14,208 loci (~2.8 M bp) were generated from a total of 57 species representing all recognized Gadiformes families and subfamilies. Species tree and concatenated maximum likelihood analyses resolved a highly congruent and well-supported phylogeny at both shallow and deep levels that contributes towards stabilizing higher-level Gadiformes classification. in accordance with these results a revised classification of the group is provided in chapter two. in Chapter three the systematics, evolution, and taxonomy of a particularly problematic family, the hakes (Merluccius, Merlucciidae), using genomic data from 13,771 loci and 74 taxa were reassessed. This study resolved the controversy surrounding the taxonomic extent of Merlucciidae and the phylogenetic placement of the genera historically included within the family, based on complete taxonomic sampling at the family and subfamily levels among gadiforms. Additionally, the phylogenetic analysis confirmed an early separation of two lineages of Merluccius, the Old World and the New World clades. The Old World clade includes five well defined species and the New World clade includes three species and two complexes of species suggesting the presence of only one species in the eastern Pacific, as well as, one species in the Southern Ocean (Patagonia – New Zealand). Chapter four provided for the first time a description of the caudal skeleton for all the families among Gadiformes and explores the character evolution of 11 characters (morphological and ecological) mapped on a taxonomically robust phylogenetic hypothesis proposed in chapter two. The ancestral state reconstruction analyses suggest that the ancestral condition among gadiforms had a caudal fin and a pelagic origin. Its loss arose at least two times within Gadiformes resulting in two main phenotypes - the tailed and the tailless fishes, neither of which form a monophyletic grouping. This study is the most comprehensive phylogenomic study of Gadiformes to date. This dissertation used a novel molecular technique coupled with morphological and ecological data that resulted in a better understanding of the evolution of commercially and ecological valuable fishes, which is necessary for effective fisheries management and the preservation of reproductive and genetic diversity. Further steps, including morphological data of extant and extinct taxa, is essential to fully understand macroevolutionary patterns and processes in phenotypic evolution and lineage diversification of gadiforms

    Rickettsial ompB Promoter Regulated Expression of GFPuv in Transformed Rickettsia montanensis

    Background: Rickettsia spp. (Rickettsiales: Rickettsiaceae) are Gram-negative, obligate intracellular, a-proteobacteria that have historically been associated with blood-feeding arthropods. Certain species cause typhus and spotted fevers in humans, but others are of uncertain pathogenicity or may be strict arthropod endosymbionts. Genetic manipulation of rickettsiae should facilitate a better understanding of their interactions with hosts. Methodology/Principal Findings: We transformed a species never associated with human disease, Rickettsia montanensis, by electroporation with a TN5 transposon (pMOD700) containing green fluorescent protein (GFPuv) and chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (CAT) genes under regulation of promoters cloned from the Rickettsia rickettsii ompB gene, and isolated a Chloramphenicol-resistant GFP-fluorescent rickettsiae population (Rmontanensis700). The Rmontanensis700 rickettsiae contained a single transposon integrated near an acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase gene in the rickettsial chromosome. Northern blots showed that GFPuv and CAT mRNAs were both expressed as two transcripts of larger and smaller than predicted length. Western immunoblots showed that Rmontanensis700 and E. coli transformed with a plasmid containing the pMOD700 transposon both expressed GFPuv proteins of the predicted molecular weight. Conclusions/Significance: Long-standing barriers to transformation of rickettsiae have been overcome by development of transposon-based rickettsial transformation vectors.     Measuring recovery capital for people recovering from alcohol and drug addiction:A systematic review

    Background: Recovery capital (RC) theory provides a biopsychosocial framework for identifying and measuring strengths and barriers that can be targeted to support recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. This systematic review analyzed and synthesized all quantitative approaches that have been used to measured recovery capital RC in the recent literaturesince 2016.Method: Systematic database searches were conducted in three databases to identifyThe reviewed studies were published from 2016 to 2023, . Eligible studiesand explicitly stated they measured RC recovery capital in participants recovering from alcohol and/or drug addiction. Studies focusing on other forms of addiction were excluded.Results: Sixty-nine studies met the inclusion criteria. Forty-six studies (66.7%) used one of the ten identified RC recovery capital questionnaires, and twenty-five studies (36.2%) used a measurement approach other than one of the ten RC recovery capital questionnaires. The ten RC recovery capital questionnaires are primarily developed for adult populations across clinical and community recovery settings, and between them measuredwere identified to measure altogether 41 separate RC recovery capital constructs. They, and are generally considered valid and reliable measures of RCrecovery capital. Nevertheless, a strong evidence base on the psychometric properties across diverse populations and settings is still needs to be established for all RC these questionnaires. Conclusion: The development of RC recovery capital questionnaires has been a significant advance in the addiction recovery field, in alignment with the modern emerging recovery-oriented approach to addiction recovery care. Additionally, the non-RC recovery capital questionnaire-based approaches to RC recovery capital measurement have an important place in the field. They could be used alongside RC recovery capital questionnaires to test RC theory, and in contexts where the application of the RC questionnaires is not feasible, such as analyses of data from online recovery forums

    Forced Symmetry Breaking from SO(3) to SO(2) for Rotating Waves on the Sphere

    We consider a small SO(2)-equivariant perturbation of a reaction-diffusion system on the sphere, which is equivariant with respect to the group SO(3) of all rigid rotations. We consider a normally hyperbolic SO(3)-group orbit of a rotating wave on the sphere that persists to a normally hyperbolic SO(2)-invariant manifold M(ϵ)M(\epsilon). We investigate the effects of this forced symmetry breaking by studying the perturbed dynamics induced on M(ϵ)M(\epsilon) by the above reaction-diffusion system. We prove that depending on the frequency vectors of the rotating waves that form the relative equilibrium SO(3)u_{0}, these rotating waves will give SO(2)-orbits of rotating waves or SO(2)-orbits of modulated rotating waves (if some transversality conditions hold). The orbital stability of these solutions is established as well. Our main tools are the orbit space reduction, Poincare map and implicit function theorem

    Liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) naturally infecting introduced European brown hare (Lepus europaeus) in northern Patagonia: phenotype, prevalence and potential risk

    ARTĂŤCULO PUBLICADO EN REVISTA EXTERNA. Fascioliasis has recently been included in the WHO list of Neglected Zoonotic Diseases. Besides being a major veterinary health problem, fascioliasis has large underdeveloping effects on the human communities affected. Though scarcely considered in fascioliasis epidemiology, it is well recognized that both native and introduced wildlife species may play a significant role as reservoirs of the disease. The objectives are to study the morphological characteristics of Fasciola hepatica adults and eggs in a population of Lepus europaeus, to assess liver fluke prevalence, and to analyze the potential reservoir role of the European brown hare in northern Patagonia, Argentina, where fascioliasis is endemic. Measures of F. hepatica found in L. europaeus from northern Patagonia demonstrate that the liver fluke is able to fully develop in wild hares and to shed normal eggs through their faeces. Egg shedding to the environment is close to the lower limit obtained for pigs, a domestic animal whose epidemiological importance in endemic areas has already been highlighted. The former, combined with the high prevalence found (14.28%) suggest an even more important role in the transmission cycle than previously considered. The results obtained do not only remark the extraordinary plasticity and adaptability of this trematode species to different host species, but also highlight the role of the European brown hare, and other NIS, as reservoirs capable for parasite spillback to domestic and native cycle, representing a potentially important, but hitherto neglected, cause of disease emergence.     Synthesis of Glass Nanofibers Using Femtosecond Laser Radiation Under Ambient Condition

    We report the unique growth of nanofibers in silica and borosilicate glass using femtosecond laser radiation at 8 MHz repetition rate and a pulse width of 214 fs in air at atmospheric pressure. The nanofibers are grown perpendicular to the substrate surface from the molten material in laser-drilled microvias where they intertwine and bundle up above the surface. The fibers are few tens of nanometers in thickness and up to several millimeters in length. Further, it is found that at some places nanoparticles are attached to the fiber surface along its length. Nanofiber growth is explained by the process of nanojets formed in the molten liquid due to pressure gradient induced from the laser pulses and subsequently drawn into fibers by the intense plasma pressure.
