Radiative corrections for (e,e′p) reactions at GeV energies
A general framework for applying radiative corrections to (e,e′p) coincidence reactions at GeV energies is presented, with special emphasis to higher-order bremsstrahlung effects, radiation from the scattered hadron, and the validity of peaking approximations. The sensitivity to the assumptions made in practically applying radiative corrections to (e,e′p) data is extensively discussed. The general framework is tested against experimental data of the 1H(e,e′p) reaction at momentum transfer values larger than 1.0 (GeV/c)^2, where radiative processes become a dominant source of uncertainty. The formulas presented here can easily be modified for any other electron-induced coincidence reaction
High-resolution spectroscopy of QY Sge -- An obscured RV Tauri variable?
The first high-resolution optical spectra of QY Sge are presented and
discussed. Menzies & Whitelock (1988) on the basis of photometry and
low-resolution spectra suggested that this G0I supergiant was obscured by dust
and seen only by scattered light from a circumstellar reflection nebula. The
new spectra confirm and extend this picture. Photospheric lines are unusually
broad indicating scattering of photons from dust in the stellar wind. Presence
of very broad Na D emission lines is confirmed. Sharp emission lines from low
levels of abundant neutral metal atoms are reported for the first time. An
abundance analysis of photospheric lines shows that the stellar atmosphere is
of approximately solar composition but with highly condensible (e.g., Sc and
Ti) elements depleted by factors of 5 to 10.Comment: 8 pages, 9 figures, accepted for publication in MNRA
Theoretical Evaluations of the Fission Cross Section of the 77 eV Isomer of 235-U
We have developed models of the fission barrier (barrier heights and
transition state spectra) that reproduce reasonably well the measured fission
cross section of U from neutron energy of 1 keV to 2 MeV. From these
models we have calculated the fission cross section of the 77 eV isomer of
U over the same energy range. We find that the ratio of the isomer
cross section to that of the ground state lies between about 0.45 and 0.55 at
low neutron energies. The cross sections become approximately equal above 1
MeV. The ratio of the neutron capture cross section to the fission cross
section for the isomer is predicted to be about a factor of 3 larger for the
isomer than for the ground state of U at keV neutron energies. We have
also calculated the cross section for the population of the isomer by inelastic
neutron scattering form the U ground state. We find that the isomer is
strongly populated, and for the cross section
leading to the population of the isomer is of the order of 0.5 barn. Thus,
neutron reaction network calculations involving the uranium isotopes in a high
neutron fluence are likely to be affected by the 77 eV isomer of U.
With these same models the fission cross sections of U and U
can be reproduced approximately using only minor adjustments to the barrier
heights. With the significant lowering of the outer barrier that is expected
for the outer barrier the general behavior of the fission cross section of
Pu can also be reproduced.Comment: 17 pages including 8 figure
Physical Activity and the Health of Wheelchair Users: A Systematic Review in Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, and Spinal Cord Injury
Objective
To understand the benefits and harms of physical activity in people who may require a wheelchair with a focus on people with multiple sclerosis (MS), cerebral palsy (CP), and spinal cord injury (SCI).
Data Sources
Searches were conducted in MEDLINE, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health, PsycINFO, Cochrane CENTRAL, and Embase (January 2008 through November 2020).
Study Selection
Randomized controlled trials, nonrandomized trials, and cohort studies of observed physical activity (at least 10 sessions on 10 days) in participants with MS, CP, and SCI.
Data Extraction
We conducted dual data abstraction, quality assessment, and strength of evidence. Measures of physical functioning are reported individually where sufficient data exist and grouped as “function” where data are scant.
Data Synthesis
No studies provided evidence for prevention of cardiovascular conditions, development of diabetes, or obesity. Among 168 included studies, 44% enrolled participants with MS (38% CP, 18% SCI). Studies in MS found walking ability may be improved with treadmill training and multimodal exercises; function may be improved with treadmill, balance exercises, and motion gaming; balance is likely improved with balance exercises and may be improved with aquatic exercises, robot-assisted gait training (RAGT), motion gaming, and multimodal exercises; activities of daily living (ADL), female sexual function, and spasticity may be improved with aquatic therapy; sleep may be improved with aerobic exercises and aerobic fitness with multimodal exercises. In CP, balance may be improved with hippotherapy and motion gaming; function may be improved with cycling, treadmill, and hippotherapy. In SCI, ADL may be improved with RAGT.
Conclusions
Depending on population and type of exercise, physical activity was associated with improvements in walking, function, balance, depression, sleep, ADL, spasticity, female sexual function, and aerobic capacity. Few harms of physical activity were reported in studies. Future studies are needed to address evidence gaps and to confirm findings
Lactational performance and plasma and muscle amino acid concentrations in dairy cows fed diets supplying 2 levels of digestible histidine and metabolizable protein
Publisher Copyright: © 2021 American Dairy Science AssociationThe objective of this experiment was to investigate the effect of dietary levels of digestible histidine (dHis) and MP on lactational performance and plasma and muscle concentrations of free AA in dairy cows. A randomized block design experiment was conducted with 48 Holstein cows, including 20 primiparous, averaging (±SD) 103 ± 22 d in milk and 45 ± 9 kg/d milk yield at the beginning of the experiment. A 2-wk covariate period preceded 12 experimental wk, of which 10 wk were for data and sample collection. Experimental treatments were (1) MP-adequate (MPA) diet with 2.1% dHis of MP (MPA2.1), (2) MPA with 3.0% dHis (MPA3.0), (3) MP-deficient (MPD) diet with 2.1% dHis (MPD2.1), and (4) MPD with 3.0% dHis (MPD3.0). Actual dHis supply was estimated at 64, 97, 57, and 88 g/d, respectively. Diets supplied MP at 110% (MPA) and 96% (MPD) of NRC 2001 dairy model requirements calculated based on DMI and production data during the experiment. Dry matter intake and milk yield data were collected daily, milk samples for composition and blood samples for AA analysis were collected every other week, and muscle biopsies at the end of covariate period, and during wk 12 of the experiment. The overall DMI was not affected by dHis or MP level. Milk yield tended to be increased by 3.0% dHis compared with 2.1% dHis. Milk true protein concentration and yield were not affected by treatments, whereas milk urea nitrogen concentration was lower for MPD versus the MPA diet. Milk fat concentration was lower for MPD versus MPA. There was a MP × dHis interaction for milk fat yield and energy-corrected milk; milk fat was lower for MPD3.0 versus MPD2.1, but similar for cows fed the MPA diet regardless of dHis level whereas energy-corrected milk was greater for MPA3.0 versus MPA2.1 but tended to be lower for MPD3.0 versus MPD2.1. Plasma His concentration was greater for cows fed dHis3.0, and concentration of sum of essential AA was greater, whereas carnosine, 1-Methyl-His and 3-Methyl-His concentrations were lower for cows fed MPA versus MPD diet. Muscle concentration of His was greater for cows fed dHis3.0 treatment. The apparent efficiency of His utilization was increased at lower MP and His levels. Overall, cows fed a corn silage-based diet supplying MP at 110% of NRC (2001) requirements tended to have increased ECM yield and similar milk protein yield to cows fed a diet supplying MP at 96% of requirements. Supplying dHis at 3.0% of MP (or 86 and 96 g/d, for MPD3.0 and MPA3.0, respectively) tended to increase milk yield and increased plasma and muscle concentrations of His but had minor or no effects on other production variables in dairy cows.Peer reviewe

Person-centered care emphasizes a holistic, humanistic approach that puts patients first, at the center of medical care. Person-centeredness is also considered a core element of integrated care. Yet typologies of integrated care mainly describe how patients fit within integrated services, rather than how services fit into the patient's world. Patient-centeredness has been commonly defined through physician's behaviors aimed at delivering patient-centered care. Yet, it is unclear how 'person-centeredness' is realized in integrated care through the patient voice. We aimed to explore patient narratives of person-centeredness in the integrated care context
A two-dimensional, two-electron model atom in a laser pulse: exact treatment, single active electron-analysis, time-dependent density functional theory, classical calculations, and non-sequential ionization
Owing to its numerical simplicity, a two-dimensional two-electron model atom,
with each electron moving in one direction, is an ideal system to study
non-perturbatively a fully correlated atom exposed to a laser field. Frequently
made assumptions, such as the ``single active electron''- approach and
calculational approximations, e.g. time dependent density functional theory or
(semi-) classical techniques, can be tested. In this paper we examine the
multiphoton short pulse-regime. We observe ``non-sequential'' ionization, i.e.\
double ionization at lower field strengths as expected from a sequential,
single active electron-point of view. Since we find non-sequential ionization
also in purely classical simulations, we are able to clarify the mechanism
behind this effect in terms of single particle trajectories. PACS Number(s):

Long-Range Forces of QCD
We consider the scattering of two color dipoles (e.g., heavy quarkonium
states) at low energy - a QCD analog of Van der Waals interaction. Even though
the couplings of the dipoles to the gluon field can be described in
perturbation theory, which leads to the potential proportional to
(N_c^2-1)/R^{7}, at large distances R the interaction becomes totally
non-perturbative. Low-energy QCD theorems are used to evaluate the leading
long-distance contribution \sim (N_f^2-1)/(11N_c - 2N_f)^2 R^{-5/2} exp(-2 \mu
R) (\mu is the Goldstone boson mass), which is shown to arise from the
correlated two-boson exchange. The sum rule which relates the overall strength
of the interaction to the energy density of QCD vacuum is derived.
Surprisingly, we find that when the size of the dipoles shrinks to zero (the
heavy quark limit in the case of quarkonia), the non-perturbative part of the
interaction vanishes more slowly than the perturbative part as a consequence of
scale anomaly. As an application, we evaluate elastic \pi J/\psi and \pi J/\psi

Microservice Transition and its Granularity Problem: A Systematic Mapping Study
Microservices have gained wide recognition and acceptance in software
industries as an emerging architectural style for autonomic, scalable, and more
reliable computing. The transition to microservices has been highly motivated
by the need for better alignment of technical design decisions with improving
value potentials of architectures. Despite microservices' popularity, research
still lacks disciplined understanding of transition and consensus on the
principles and activities underlying "micro-ing" architectures. In this paper,
we report on a systematic mapping study that consolidates various views,
approaches and activities that commonly assist in the transition to
microservices. The study aims to provide a better understanding of the
transition; it also contributes a working definition of the transition and
technical activities underlying it. We term the transition and technical
activities leading to microservice architectures as microservitization. We then
shed light on a fundamental problem of microservitization: microservice
granularity and reasoning about its adaptation as first-class entities. This
study reviews state-of-the-art and -practice related to reasoning about
microservice granularity; it reviews modelling approaches, aspects considered,
guidelines and processes used to reason about microservice granularity. This
study identifies opportunities for future research and development related to

Effect of tensor couplings in a relativistic Hartree approach for finite nuclei
The relativistic Hartree approach describing the bound states of both
nucleons and anti-nucleons in finite nuclei has been extended to include tensor
couplings for the - and -meson. After readjusting the parameters
of the model to the properties of spherical nuclei, the effect of
tensor-coupling terms rises the spin-orbit force by a factor of 2, while a
large effective nucleon mass sustains. The overall
nucleon spectra of shell-model states are improved evidently. The predicted
