Inmigrantes argentinos en España: acomodación fonética, morfológica y léxica a la variedad de la ciudad de Málaga

The aim of this project is to establish the sociolinguistic accommodation of an Argentinean-speaking community distinguishing between: a) young immigrants (n = 12), and b) adult Argentinean immigrants (n = 12) in the city of Malaga, Spain. We will compare the accommodation of these two groups in order to determine if there are differences that could be related to age, gender, time of residence in the city of Malaga, etc.Universidad de Málaga. On the different ways of being a bi-dialectal immigrant. From speech isolation through code-switching to full integration. The case of Argentineans in Malaga (Spain).

In this paper we analyse the accommodation (convergence) or divergence of young immigrants born in Buenos Aires, Argentina but living in Malaga, Spain (n = 22). For analysing this community, we took advantage of previous studies on dialects in contact such as Auer et. al. (2000), Hinskens et. al. (2016), Kerswill & Williams (2000), or Trudgill (1986), among others. We have focused our attention on a very salient feature of the variety of Buenos Aires: the realization patterns of the voiced palatal fricative /ʝ/ (n = 1176) by young immigrant speakers. In such an immigration context, different realizations of /ʝ/ are observable, from open [j] to voiceless fricative realizations [ʃ]. An acoustic analysis based on standardised zero crossings rate, relative intensity, and other complementary measurements allows us to set the acoustic parameters underlying palatal /ʝ/ allophones, and to reveal a clear recession in the use of the native closed – and even voiceless – allophones by the Buenos Aires young immigrant speakers.Universidad de Málaga. Contacto de variedades y conmutación dialectal. A propósito de los jóvenes inmigrantes argentinos en la ciudad de Málaga

Este trabajo presenta el estudio sobre el grado de integración sociolingüística de una comunidad de jóvenes inmigrantes argentinos de entre 16 y 30 años (n = 24, m = 12, f = 12) en la ciudad de Málaga a través del análisis acústico y perceptivo de: a) la consonante fricativa /ʝ/ (prominente en la comunidad de habla de origen); b) las realizaciones de /-s/ en posición final de palabra ante vocal o pausa; c) la distinción meridional de /s/: /θ/ (perteneciente a la comunidad de habla de llegada); d) las formas de tratamiento; e) las formas léxicas recogidas durante la entrevistas (argentinas [colectivo] vs. españolas [autobús]); etc.Universidad de Málaga. The influence of phonological context on the phonetic characterization of the Spanish

En este trabajo buscamos ampliar el análisis fonológico de las realizaciones alofónicas de los fonemas /ʝ̞/ o /ʒ/. La novedad de esta publicación radica en que consideraremos, por un lado, realizaciones postpausales no descritas hasta ahora y, por otro lado, la influencia de tres factores lingüísticos no completamente puntualizados: a) el punto de articulación de la vocal anterior en realizaciones de /ʝ̞/ o /ʒ/ intervocálicas, b) la tonicidad de la sílaba donde se articula el alófono de /ʝ̞/ o /ʒ/ en realizaciones intervocálicas y postpausales (sílaba tónica vs. sílaba átona), y c) el contexto previo, analizando alófonos intervocálicos vs. postpausales y determinando la conveniencia de su comparación.In this paper, we seek to extend the phonological analysis of the allophonic realizations of the phonemes /ʝ/̞ or /ʒ/. The novelty of this work lies in the fact that we will consider here postpausal realizations, not described so far, and the influence of three linguistic factors: a) the point of articulation of the previous vowel in intervocalic realizations of /ʝ/̞ or /ʒ/, b) the tonicity of the syllable where the allophone of /ʝ/̞ or /ʒ/ is articulated in intervocalic and postpausal realizations (stressed vs. unstressed syllables), and c) the previous context, analyzing intervocalic vs. postpausal realizations in order to determine the convenience of their comparison

En este trabajo –que es un primer avance de un proyecto más amplio– se exponen los resultados del análisis acústico-perceptivo de las variantes alofónicas de /ʝ/ en Buenos Aires y Málaga, basado en entrevistas semidirigidas a hablantes porteños residentes en Argentina, hablantes porteños inmigrantes en Málaga y hablantes de español (variedad europea) nacidos en la ciudad de Málaga. El propósito de este estudio empírico es fijar los parámetros acústicos de diferentes segmentos aproximantes y fricativos obtenidos durante las entrevistas, que constatan la existencia de un proceso de acomodación y convergencia en marcha en la pronunciación de los inmigrantes a la de los hablantes de Málaga.Varieties of Spanish in contact: sociolinguistic accommodation of an immigrant Argentinean community in the city of Malaga. In this paper, which is a previous study of a more complex project, we deal with the results of the acoustical and perceptive analysis of the allophonic variants of /ʝ/ in Buenos Aires and Malaga. The results were obtained in semiguided interviews to speakers from Buenos Aires living in Argentina, speakers born in Buenos Aires but resident in the city of Malaga and speakers of an European variety of Spanish born and raised in the city of Malaga. The goal of this study is to determine the acoustic parameters of different approximant and fricative segments of /ʝ/ obtained during the interviews, which prove the existence of an accommodation and convergence process of the immigrants’ pronunciation towards the pronunciation of the speakers from Malaga

Presencia de la mujer de ayer y de hoy en PRESEEA cambios sociolingüísticos motivados por su ascenso social y profesional.

El propósito de esta intervención es presentar las líneas principales de un proyecto de innovación educativa que se comenzó a implantar en el curso 22-23 en diversas asignaturas de las áreas de Lingüística General y Lengua Española de la Universidad de Málaga. El proyecto está organizado por miembros grupo de investigación Vernáculo Urbano Malagueño VUM y se enmarca dentro del Proyecto para el Estudio Sociolingüístico del Español de España y América (PRESEEA). Su objetivo principal es dar a conocer al alumnado cómo los cambios sociales que han afectado al rol social de la mujer en las últimas décadas han tenido su reflejo en los cambios lingüísticos. Este objetivo principal vertebra diversos objetivos secundarios que consisten en trabajar competencias procedimentales que capacitan al alumnado para emplear técnicas y herramientas de investigación.Universidad de Málaga.
