Implementation of the Network Traffic Filter by Microblaze in FPGA

Práce se zabývá možnostmi hardwarové akcelerace softwarového filtru síťového provozu běžícímu na procesoru MicroBlaze v FPGA čipu Spartan-3E. Akcelerovanou aplikací je standardní firewall Linuxového jádra názývaný iptables, konkrétně jeho rozšíření L7-filter. L7-filter vyhledává regulární výrazy v provozu procházejícím systémem, a tím umožňuje rozpoznávat různé protokoly aplikační vrstvy. Pro jeho významný vliv na výkonnost aplikace byl nahrazen hardwarovou jednotkou řízenou z vlastního modulu Linuxového jádra. Profilací a měřením propustnosti bylo zjištěno, že je takto možné zvýšit propustnost systému i více než dvojnásobně.The thesis explores the area of hardware acceleration of a software network traffic filter running inside processor MicroBlaze in the FPGA Spartan-3E. The accelerated application is widely used firewall from the Linux Kernel called iptables, more precisely its extension L7-filter. L7-filter performs lookups inside network traffic using regular expressions. Because of its significant influence on the application performance, it has been exchanged with a hardware unit controlled from the Linux Kernel. The performance has been increased more than twice.

Teoretická část popisuje zejména metody zvolené k určení technického stavu strojů, který byl zjišťován pomocí vibrodiagnostiky a tribodiagnostiky. Praktická část se zaměřuje na analýzu olejové náplně a pomocí tribodiagnostostických testů hodnotí parametry maziva a jeho degradaci. Z laboratorních výsledků a následným vyhodnocením byla zvolena vhodná doporučení. V poslední části je uveden popis a vyhodnocení měření stavu vřeten strojů analýzou vibračního signálu.Bc. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the state of the above mentioned machines by using methods of technical diagnostics and to determinate recommendations for future operations. The theoretical part describes especially vibrodiagnostics and tribodiagnostics methods selected for determining the technical condition of the machines.. The practical part is focused on analyzing oil filling and rating of lubricant parameters and its degradation by using tribodiagnostic tests. Appropriate recommendations have been determined from laboratory results and its subsequent evaluation. Software Support for Project Definition with Using of Logical Frame Method

Cílem diplomové práce je návrh a realizace programové podpory definování projektu s využitím LFM (Logical Frame Method). První část pojednává o projektovém řízení a nutnosti jeho použití při řešení projektů. Dále jsou popsány fáze projektu z hlediska projektového řízení, podrobně je popsán způsob definování projektu metodou logického rámce. V druhé části je pak uvedena analýza požadavků, návrh pomocí UML diagramů a zajímavé části implementace programu, který byl vytvořen ve vývojovém prostředí Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 v jazyku C#. V závěru je provedeno zhodnocení , srovnání s existujícími aplikacemi a jsou navržena možná rozšíření.The purpose of this work is to design and implement software support for Project Definition of LFM (Logical Frame Method). The first part is about project management and about necessity to use it for solving projects. There is description of phases of project and detailed description of logical frame method. In the second part there is system requirements analysis, description of the application via UML and implementation of application which was created in development environment Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 in C# language. There is a short summary, possible extensions and comparing with existing applications in the end of the work.

Documentales chilenos en la época de Allende

In der vorliegenden Diplomarbeit wird die visuelle Darstellung im chilenischen Dokumentarfilm während der Periode von 1970 bis 1973 untersucht. Der Zeitrahmen ergibt sich einerseits durch die erhöhte Anzahl der öffentlich gezeigten Dokumentarfilme und deren vorhandene Register, wie auch durch deren gemeinsame filmische Merkmale. Anderseits ergibt sie sich durch die historischen Ereignisse selbst. In diesen Jahren wird in Chile eine sogenante „friedliche Revolution“ auf demokratischem Wege vollzogen, die durch einen Militärputsch am 11. September 1973 brutal beendet wird. Zu finden ist eine Reihe von Dokumentarfilmen aus dieser Zeit, welche Aspekte dieser revolutionären Veränderungen aufzeichnen. Die Visualisierung des „Jetzt“ tritt in den Vordergrund und dabei werden aktuelle politische und soziale Themen behandelt (u.a. die Mapuches, die Arbeiterwelt, Erwartungen an die Zukunft, die Aufarbeitung der Vergangenheit) und versucht neue Werte zu vermitteln. Der Blick auf die Geschichte des eigenen Landes soll den Zuschauer lernen, das Eigene zu schätzen. Der erste Teil der Arbeit beschreibt den Kontext dieses revolutionären Kinos, das hinsichtlich Zuschauer, Inhalte, Organisation (Produktion, Filmverleih, etc.) und Rezeption Veränderungen erfährt. Hervorgehoben wird die historische Einbettung des Dokumentarfilms. Dabei wird untersucht, wie das Medium Dokumentarfilm eingesetzt wird, um eine Wirklichkeit darzustellen. Die Frage ist: Wann, wie und warum ist zur Zeit Allendes im Dokumentarfilm gesellschaftliche Polarisation sowie Kampfesgeist und Hoffnung ersichtlich, und wie wird dies durch die visuellen Sprache vermittelt? In einem zweiten Teil der Arbeit wird anhand einer Auswahl von Filmen die Visualisierung der Themen behandelt. Untersucht wird, welche Aspekte des historischen Momentes von den Filmemachern ausgewählt und auf welche Art und Weise filmisch umgesetzt werden. Das heißt, es wird analysiert, bei welchen Themen die Filmemacher eine Aktualität sehen und welche Werte sie dem Zuschauer übermitteln möchten. Die Untersuchung der Art und Weise der Übermittlung erfolgt durch eine Filmanalyse, wobei eine weitere Eingrenzung der Filmauswahl erfolgt. Gemeinsame Merkmale und Muster werden herausgearbeitet, um gesellschaftliche Polarisation sowie Kampfesgeist und Hoffnung in der filmischen Darstellung dieser Zeit aufzuzeigen

The filtration in air conditioning systems

Diplomová práce je rozdělena do tří částí, analýzy tématu a zvolené metody řešení, aplikace tématu na zadané budově a experimentálního řešení a zpracování výsledků První část je teoretická. Je o filtraci vzduchu z hlediska normových a právních požadavků a variantách technických řešení filtrace vzduchu. Ve druhé části jsou uvedena dvě technická řešení vzduchotechnických systémů pro plastickou chirurgii. Třetí část je experimentální. Je o měření počtu částic ve vzduchu na operačním sále a vyhodnocení měření.The diploma thesis is divided into three parts, analysis of the topic and the chosen method of solutions, application to specified building and experimental solutions and data processing The first part is theoretical. It is about air filtration in terms of normative and legal requirements and variants of technical solutions for air filtration. In the second part there are two technical solutions for HVAC systems for plastic surgery. The third part is experimental. It is the measurement of the number of particles in the air in the operating room and the evaluation of the measurement.

V analytické částí je zkoumán vybraný trh a také podmínky za kterých je možné vybudovat oficiální Apple prodejnu. Zpracovaný podnikatelský záměr vychází z reálných údajů, dotazníku a zkušeností odborníka v oboru a snaží se co nejpřesněji určit úspěšnost podnikání. Ve finančním plánu jsou zahrnuty potřebné výdaje a plánované zisky, které ve dvou variantách ukazují jaké podmínky je třeba splnit pro dosažení zisku.The aim of this thesis is to draw up a detailed analysis of a business plan to build retail brand store with Apple products. The analytical part of this thesis is devoted to the selected market and to the conditions to build official Apple store. Processed business plan is based on real data, questionnaire and expert´s experiences in the field and try to determine the success of the business as precisely as possible. The financial plan includes necessary expenses and planned profits which shows in two versions what conditions must be done to achieve a profit.

Mood disorders and consequences of pharmacological treatment

Mental health issues are medical problems getting increased attention throughout the world, and depression, only one among several types of mental illnesses, are currently reported as the second leading cause of disability world wide by the World Health Organization. Along this development, increased number of psychiatric diagnoses and increased utilization of medication can be observed. However, whether this increase is because of an actual increase in number of individuals suffering from these disorders, or due to improvements in diagnostics and understanding, or both, is not fully known. What is known, however, is that mental health related suffering is nothing new and can be traced back several thousands of years in human history. Throughout this history, our understanding and view of these disorders that affect our mood and behavior have changed substantially, from being assumed caused by gods or magic, to our modern view of combined environmental and genetic causes. But psychiatry is still a comparatively recent field of medicine and it was not long ago effective drugs targeting these disorders were first introduced. Our understanding of the underlying mechanisms of this suffering is still limited, but recent developments in psychiatric genetics have provided some of the first stable biological underpinnings to mental disorders. In light of these findings, a complicated picture is beginning to take form, in which the etiology appears caused by thousands of genetic factors, but also that a lot of the underlying genetics is shared among the disorders previously thought of as separate. It is within this setting, where many of the current disorder definitions are starting being questioned and the appreciation of genetics behind these disorder is increasing, the studies within thesis have been conducted. In study I, the potential side effect of manic switching due to antidepressant treatment was investigated in a population sample of 3,240 individuals with bipolar disorder. A within-individual design was used to adjust for otherwise unmeasured genetic confounding, and the results indicated that manic switching was confined to bipolar disorder patients treated with an antidepressant monotherapy, whereas patients treated with an antidepressant in combination with a mood stabilizer rather displayed a reduced risk. Study II instead focused on depression around the time of pregnancy, perinatal depression, and to what extent genetics explain the variance in this disorder, and to what extent perinatal depression genetically overlap with depression at other time of life. This was studied with a twin design in a sample of twin mothers (N=3,427) that had answered the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale, and with a sibling design in a sample of sisters (N=580,006) using register data of healthcare contacts. The genetic contribution to, or heritability of, perinatal depression was estimated at 54 and 44% in the twin and sibling designs respectively. Using a bivariate model, a third of the genetic contribution to perinatal depression was found unique for the disorder and not shared with depression at other times of life. Study III was also related to perinatal depression, but focused on potential side effects of antidepressants. In a sample of 392,029 pregnancies, associations between prenatal SSRI exposure and offspring birth size and gestational age was observed. This was followed by within-family analyses (N=1,007) that adjusted for genetic and familial environmental confounding, where the associations between SSRIs and offspring birth size was attenuated, indicating that these associations were likely due to familial confounding. An association between prenatal SSRI exposure and reduced gestational age was observed in both analyses, and could be either due to a causal effect of the medication, or due to confounding factors that the withinfamily design could not adjust for. Perinatal depression was further explored in study IV, where patterns of healthcare utilization were studied among both mothers and fathers based on register data. This included 3.6 million parents and 3.5 million pregnancies, and the occurrence of diagnoses for depressive illness, anxiety disorders, and mental illness in general around the time of pregnancy was contrasted to the occurrence of these diagnoses at other times of life. Overall, a reduction in healthcare utilization for all studied disorder types were observed around this time of life, which may indicate barriers to getting a diagnosis during this time of life. In conclusion, the studies within this thesis demonstrate that genetically informed designs are very useful in epidemiological research. And through the application of these designs with large-scale register data, the studies of this thesis provide enhanced understanding of mental illness in general, and bipolar disorder and perinatal depression in particular

Application of Deep Pushdown Automata in Compilers

V této práci se zaměřím na aplikaci hlubokých zásobníkových automatů v překladačích, jejich zakomponování do syntaktického analyzátoru a možnost dalšího využití. Díky těmto automatům můžeme provést expanzi v různých hloubkách zásobníku a tím umožňuje používat jiné zápisy příkazů.In this thesis, I focus on the application of deep pushdown automatons in compilers, their composition in the parser, and the possibility of further recovery. Thanks to these automatons can carry out the expansion of the nonterminals in various depths and thus makes it possible to use other records of expressions.

Hot air airconditioning of the flat house

Bakalářské práce je rozdělena do třech částí teoretické, výpočtové a projektové. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na systémy zpětného získávání tepla ve vzduchotechnice pomocí regeneračních výměníků. Výpočtová a projektová část se zabývá návrhem teplovzdušného větrání bytového domu. Objekt slouží pro trvalé bydlení a je koncipován do 13 funkčních celků. Návrh technického řešení je zpracován s ohledem na předepsané hygienické parametry vzduchu a tepelnou pohodu mikroklimatu dle platné legislativy ČR v roce 2015. Dále vytvořením ideálního mikroklimatu pro bydlení a zvýšení kvality života v objektu.The brachelor's dissertation is divided into three parts: theoretical, computational and design. The theoretical part is focused on heat recovery systems in air through regenerative heat exchangers. The calculation and project part deal with the design of air ventilation in flat house. The building is used for permanent housing and is divided into thirteen functional units. A technical solution is developer with regard to the statutory hygiene parameters of air and thermal comfort microclimate under applicable legislation of the Czech Republic in 2015. In addition, it will provide the ideal microclimate for housing and improve the quality of life in the building.

V návrhu komunikační strategie pro firmu OK Plast se v práci zabývám problémem týkající se firemní identity, jež zahrnuje všechny identifikační znaky, které pomáhají rozpoznávat určitý subjekt a odlišovat ho od jiných. Firemní identita se v rámci komunikačního mixu řadí do public relations. Základem firemní identity je filozofie a historie firmy. Jedná se o určitou „hlavní strategii podniku.“In the proposal of communication strategy for OK Plast Company I solve the problem about corporate identity, contains all identification symbols helping recognize the specific subject and distinguish it from the others. Corporate identity is classified to public relations in communication mix. Principle of corporate identity is a philosophy and history of company. It is about “main strategy of company.”
