Characterization of former athletes with gonarthrotic of Santiago de Cuba province
Gonarthrosis is one of the main causes of pain and disability affecting a large number of the population of former athletes in the provincial Santiago de Cuba. Precisely this research aims to characterize the population of former athletes studied, some qualitative variables of interest, their predominance, and frequency, emphasizing age, sex, sport, and degree of osteoarthritis by the scale of Kellgren and Lawrence; that evaluates the degrees of osteoarthritis observed in x-rays. A percentage of statistical analysis was used for the interpretation of the data. As fundamental results, the group of age intervals of 41 to 50 years with 47% could be observed; the male sex dominated with equal 50% percentile for both age groups of 41 to 50 and 61-60 years; games with balls predominated with 71%; and grade II or mild osteoarthrosis in knees predominated with 71.5%
Report from Working Group 3: Beyond the standard model physics at the HL-LHC and HE-LHC
This is the third out of five chapters of the final report [1] of the Workshop on Physics at HL-LHC, and perspectives on HE-LHC [2]. It is devoted to the study of the potential, in the search for Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) physics, of the High Luminosity (HL) phase of the LHC, defined as ab of data taken at a centre-of-mass energy of 14 TeV, and of a possible future upgrade, the High Energy (HE) LHC, defined as ab of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 27 TeV. We consider a large variety of new physics models, both in a simplified model fashion and in a more model-dependent one. A long list of contributions from the theory and experimental (ATLAS, CMS, LHCb) communities have been collected and merged together to give a complete, wide, and consistent view of future prospects for BSM physics at the considered colliders. On top of the usual standard candles, such as supersymmetric simplified models and resonances, considered for the evaluation of future collider potentials, this report contains results on dark matter and dark sectors, long lived particles, leptoquarks, sterile neutrinos, axion-like particles, heavy scalars, vector-like quarks, and more. Particular attention is placed, especially in the study of the HL-LHC prospects, to the detector upgrades, the assessment of the future systematic uncertainties, and new experimental techniques. The general conclusion is that the HL-LHC, on top of allowing to extend the present LHC mass and coupling reach by on most new physics scenarios, will also be able to constrain, and potentially discover, new physics that is presently unconstrained. Moreover, compared to the HL-LHC, the reach in most observables will, generally more than double at the HE-LHC, which may represent a good candidate future facility for a final test of TeV-scale new physics

Ultralight vector dark matter search using data from the KAGRA O3GK run
Among the various candidates for dark matter (DM), ultralight vector DM can be probed by laser interferometric gravitational wave detectors through the measurement of oscillating length changes in the arm cavities. In this context, KAGRA has a unique feature due to differing compositions of its mirrors, enhancing the signal of vector DM in the length change in the auxiliary channels. Here we present the result of a search for U(1)B−L gauge boson DM using the KAGRA data from auxiliary length channels during the first joint observation run together with GEO600. By applying our search pipeline, which takes into account the stochastic nature of ultralight DM, upper bounds on the coupling strength between the U(1)B−L gauge boson and ordinary matter are obtained for a range of DM masses. While our constraints are less stringent than those derived from previous experiments, this study demonstrates the applicability of our method to the lower-mass vector DM search, which is made difficult in this measurement by the short observation time compared to the auto-correlation time scale of DM
Gonoarthrosis in former athletes treated which regenerative therapy and therapeutic exercise program
Osteoarthritis, or wear and tear of the knee joint, is a cause of sports trauma, affecting a large number of the population of former athletes in the province. The therapeutic alternative to gonoarthrosis exatlets implanted with regenerative therapy and rehabilitative exercises is applied to this sports-practicing population with balls. The assessment of variables, in responses to treatment implemented in the exathletes, was carried out over 6 months, where bilateral thigh atrophy prevailed over unilateral atrophy, to lesser degree atrophy of the affected thighs was presented after treatment with the applied therapeutic exercise program. 71.4% showed recovery of muscle strength with grade 5 (normal) muscle notes for the muscle group of knee flexor poplites, and 85.7% with grade 5 (normal) muscle notes for the femoral or crural quadriceps muscle group, which are involved in the extension of the knees. With the application of this exercise alternative in former athletes with gonoarthrosis treated with regenerative therapy, more than 70% showed recovery of the variables studied
Powdery Mildew Resistance Genes in Vines: An Opportunity to Achieve a More Sustainable Viticulture
Grapevine (Vitis vinifera) is one of the main fruit crops worldwide. In 2020, the total surface area planted with vines was estimated at 7.3 million hectares. Diverse pathogens affect grapevine yield, fruit, and wine quality of which powdery mildew is the most important disease prior to harvest. Its causal agent is the biotrophic fungus Erysiphe necator, which generates a decrease in cluster weight, delays fruit ripening, and reduces photosynthetic and transpiration rates. In addition, powdery mildew induces metabolic reprogramming in its host, affecting primary metabolism. Most commercial grapevine cultivars are highly susceptible to powdery mildew; consequently, large quantities of fungicide are applied during the productive season. However, pesticides are associated with health problems, negative environmental impacts, and high costs for farmers. In paralleled, consumers are demanding more sustainable practices during food production. Therefore, new grapevine cultivars with genetic resistance to powdery mildew are needed for sustainable viticulture, while maintaining yield, fruit, and wine quality. Two main gene families confer resistance to powdery mildew in the Vitaceae, Run (Resistance to Uncinula necator) and Ren (Resistance to Erysiphe necator). This article reviews the powdery mildew resistance genes and loci and their use in grapevine breeding programs
Demography of degenerative arthropathy and regenerative medicine in santiaguero sport
This research uses regenerative medicine in degenerative arthropathy for sport, intending to demographically evaluate this population, general variables, and individuals of interest were assessed. In the percentage statistical analysis for the interpretation of results was obtained from the general variables, the predominance for males in the group of former athletes in the age range of 41 to 50 years, grade II of knee ostearthrosis as the region of anatomical location, and the most affected degree, the time of manifestation of the disease the eldest of the year of evolution, the over-use as an incidence factor for the onset of injury in the group of most affected sports treated, and as a treatment of implanted regenerative medicine most employed platelet-rich plasma (PRP). In particular variables of interest, the predominance in training, and the training cycle for the occurrence of the injury, and the competitive stage for athletes, and the general stage for former athletes, was obtained from the location for the occurrence of the injury
