An original approach to the design of information systems to search for and rent apartments, allow a minimum complexity to build the list of functions of existing information systems, sort information systems by the criterion of functional completeness, evaluate the functional completeness of the information system and to form groups of information systems that have the same functional completeness, compare their prices and features consumer qualities

Hard Tissue Preservation after Tooth Extraction – a Case Report

    Get PDF
Aim: Augmentation of edentulous alveolar ridge defects after tooth extraction can be classified as either hard or soft tissue. Hard tissue augmentation primary facilitate implant placement into bone – deficient ridges. Bones and teeth are the only structures within the body where calcium and phosphate participate as functional pillars. Despite their mineral nature, both organs are vital and dynamic. The aim was to remark the indications for alveolar augmentation after tooth extraction and prior placement of endo osseous dental implants. A case report: Patient 29 years old female visited our clinic. The diagnosis was chronic periodontitis of 36. The treatment plan included tooth extraction and alveolar ridge reconstruction in order to place the implant in a sufficient volume bone. After six months the control x-ray confirmed good bone regeneration and in that mean the implant placement with immediate loading was made. The local process of bone regeneration was stimulated and the chance of a good clinical output was increased. Results: advantages of alveolar ridge augmentation with sufficient bone volume to adjust for uncompromised and esthetic implant placement, renders these procedures more than effective for majority of patients. Conclusion: Surgical reconstruction of the tissues and the procedure of ridge augmentation and subsequent placement of dental implant are necessary

RNA therapies and medicines – general overview and pharmacological challenges

    Get PDF
Recent advances in the science of RNA production, purification, and intracellular delivery have enabled the development of RNA therapeutics. RNA therapies represent a rapidly expanding category of medicinal products that will change the standard treatment of many diseases, redefining the concept of personalized medicine. They may have great therapeutic potential in hereditary, oncological, and neurological diseases, metabolic diseases, etc. RNA therapies may provide better opportunities to target the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms of diseases, which in turn may lead to better therapeutic results. These medications are cost-effective to develop, relatively easy to manufacture, and hold potential for many presently incurable conditions. They are rapidly gaining traction in clinical practice. In this comprehensive review, we discuss the general concepts of the different classes of RNA drugs and their pharmacological properties. Furthermore, we provide an overview of RNA drugs that have already received approval from regulatory bodies such as the FDA and EMA, shedding light on their pivotal role in modern medicine

Influence of vegetation on the composition of essential oil from (Melissa officinalis L.)

    Get PDF
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) is a perennial plant of the family Lamiaceae, which is used in folk medicine and the food industry, as well as being processed to obtain essential oil. The aim of the special work is to monitor the influence of vegetation on the composition of the essential oil. The chemical composition of essential oils, obtained by steam distillation from lemon balm cultivated in North-eastern Bulgaria, has been determined. The plants were harvested in two periods of vegetation - the first at the end of June and second - at the end of August 2020. The main components in the oil from the first cut are geranial (26.41%), neral (19.55%), (E)-β-caryophyllene (17.46%), germacrene D (7.86%) and β-citronellal (3.24%). In the oil from the second cut, the main components are geranial (37.26%), neral (28.46%), (E)-β- caryophyllene (6.65%), geraniol (4.72%), and β-citronellal (3.04%). The oil from the second harvest has a high content of the main components of geranial, neral and geraniol and a lower content of (E)-β- caryophyllene and germacrene D. Variations in the amounts are also present in other compounds

Gesture bike: examining projection surfaces and turn signal systems for urban cycling

    Get PDF
Interactive surfaces could be employed in urban environments to make people more aware of moving vehicles, showing drivers’ intention and the subsequent position of vehicles. To explore the usage of projections while cycling, we created a system that displays a map for navigation and signals cyclist intention. The first experiment compared the task of map navigation on a display projected on a road surface in front of the bicycle with a head-up-display (HUD) consisting of a projection on a windshield. The HUD system was considered safer and easier to use. In our second experiment, we used projected surfaces to implement concepts inspired by Gibson’s perception theory of driving that were combined with detection of conventional cycling gestures to signal and visualize turning intention. The comparison of our system with an off-the-shelf turn signal system showed that gesture input was easier to use. A web-based follow-up study based on the recording of the two signalling systems from the perspective of participants in traffic showed that with the gesture-projector system it was easier to understand and predict the cyclist intention

Abstract Bones and teeth are the only structureswithin the body where calciumandphosphate participate asfunctional pillars. Despite their mineralnature, both organs are vital and dynamic. The aim was to remark the indications for alveolar augmentation after tooth extraction and prior the placement of endoosseous dental implants. The autograft, allograft, alloplast, and xenograftmaterials all have reported success, alone or in combination, for particulate bone augmentation. Theparticulate autograft is the gold standard for mostcraniofacial bone grafting, including the treatmentof dental implant-related defects. Advantages of alveolar ridge augmentation with sufficient bone volume to adjust for uncompromised and esthetic implant placement, renders these procedures more than effective for majority of patients. Surgical reconstruction of the tissues and the procedure of ridge augmentation and subsequent placement of dental implant are necessary
