Objective: To evaluate if hyponatremia is a factor associated with mortality in
patients with acute ischemic stroke at Hospital Victor Lazarte Echegaray during the
period between January 2010 and July 2016.
Material And Methods: We performed an observational, analytical, crosssectional
study that evaluated 148 patients with acute ischemic stroke, who were
divided into two groups, the deceased 14 patients and the survivors 134 patients.
Results: The mean age in the dead and survivor patients was 86.07 ± 7.57 vs 81.37
± 5.73; p < 0.01; the male sex was 92.86% vs 61.19%; p < 0.05. The hypertension
was the most common comorbidity in the dead and in the survivors (100% vs
64.18%, p <0.01). The mean SBP at admission was 164.29 ± 18.69 vs 141.90 ±
11.71 mmHg; p < 0.001. Serum sodium levels at admission were 132.24 ± 8.50 vs
138.27 ± 6.82; p < 0.01; When categorizing sodium in hyponatremia was found that
in the dead 64.29% vs 34.33%; p < 0.05. Multivariate analysis identified age (ORa
= 1.21), systolic blood pressure at admission (ORa = 1.28) and hyponatremia (ORa
= 5.75) as independent factors associated with mortality in patients with stroke.
Conclusions: Hyponatremia was the main independent factor associated with
mortality in patients with acute ischemic stroke.Tesi

Representations of Partition Categories
We explain a new approach to the representation theory of the partition category based on a reformulation of the definition of the Jucys-Murphy elements introduced originally by Halverson and Ram and developed further by Enyang. Our reformulation involves a new graphical monoidal category, the affine partition category, which is defined here as a certain monoidal subcategory of Khovanov's Heisenberg category. We use the Jucys-Murphy elements to constructsome special projective functors, then apply these functors to give self-contained proofs of results of Comes and
Ostrik on blocks of Deligne’s category \REP(S_t). We then study a restriction functor \REP(S_t)\to\REP(S_{t-1}) and prove a conjecture of Comes and Ostrik involving this functor. Finally, we use the restriction functor to verify
a criterion of Benson, Etingof, and Ostrik, thereby identifying the abelian envelope of \REP(S_t) with the Ringel dual of the category of locally finite-dimensional \Par_t-modules.

Foundation Model's Embedded Representations May Detect Distribution Shift
Distribution shifts between train and test datasets obscure our ability to
understand the generalization capacity of neural network models. This topic is
especially relevant given the success of pre-trained foundation models as
starting points for transfer learning (TL) models across tasks and contexts. We
present a case study for TL on a pre-trained GPT-2 model onto the Sentiment140
dataset for sentiment classification. We show that Sentiment140's test dataset
is not sampled from the same distribution as the training dataset , and
hence training on and measuring performance on does not actually
account for the model's generalization on sentiment classification.Comment: 14 pages, 8 figures, 5 table
Climatic Factors Affecting Quantity and Quality Grade of in vivo Produced Bovine Embryos
The present study investigated the effects of climatic variables on the quality grade and quantity of in vivo produced bovine embryos. High temperature during the early embryonic development stage, one day after AI to flush, tended (P \u3c 0.10) to decrease the quality of embryos recovered. High Temperature-Humidity Index during the early antral follicular stage, 40 to 45 days prior to ovulation, tended to improve the total number of freezable and transferrable embryos recovered per flush (P \u3c 0.10). Increased wind speed at the early antral follicular phase was associated with a significant increase of the percentage of quality grade 1 embryos recovered (P \u3c 0.05). This implies that wind has a significant effect in the quality grade and quantity of in vivo produced bovine embryos that is rarely taken into consideration

The objective of this research was to morphologically characterize the free-range hens in
the province of Orellana using 100 hens from the 4 towns (Loreto, Sacha, Aguarico and
Puerto Francisco de Orellana). The corresponding zoometric measurements were
analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicated: live weight (2.84 kg); head
length (6.45 cm); head width (3.7 cm); ear length (2.28 cm); ear width (0.34 cm), crest
length (4.95 cm), crest width (0.72 cm), beak length (3.91 cm); neck length (14.1 cm);
dorsal length (24.74 cm); ventral length (26.78cm); femoroilioischiatic width (10.08 cm);
chest circumference (37.79cm); brim length (23.95cm); proximal wing length (11.5cm);
medium brim length (9.41cm); distal wing length (7.61 cm); thigh length (11.69cm); leg
length (13.63cm); leg circumference (13.29 cm); cane length (8.05cm); middle finger
length (6.19cm); and spur length (0.77cm). It was concluded that hens from Sacha town
showed superiority regarding the zoometric measurements of the free-range hens. It was
demonstrated that within the region there is no homogeneity. Knowing these variabilities
will allow the creation of rustic productive lines, so it is recommended to study, in depth,
the free-range hens to obtain more information on the morphological characteristics to
strengthen the sustainable livestock work
