A Comparative Study on Effects of Regular and Irregular Structures Subjected to Lateral Loading by Equivalent Static Method and Response Spectrum Method
This paper aims in thoroughly examine and have a comparative study of the behavior of regular and irregular R.C building with and without shear wall for seismic and wind load activities in different zones of India through equivalent static method and response spectrum method. For this purpose, regular and irregular R.C structures are taken and analyzed against earthquake and wind forces in different zones of India. Further shear wall is introduced in both regular and irregular structure and again analyzed in different zones. For structural irregularity, vertical irregularity and plan irregularity are taken into account. These irregularities are taken as per Indian standard code, IS 1893 (Part I): 2002. The whole models were analysed with the help of CYPE Software. In current study drifts has been considered in both X and Y directions and are compared with structure shear wall
A Privacy Protection Mechanism for Mobile Online Social Networks
A Location sharing system is the most critical component in mobile online social networks (MOSNS).Huge number of user\u27s location information will be stored by the service providers. In addition to the location privacy and social network privacy cannot be guaranteed to the user in the earlier work. Regarding the enhanced privacy against the inside attacker implemented by the service provider in (MOSNS), we initiate a new architecture with multiple servers .It introduces a protected solution which supports a location sharing among friends and strangers. The user friend set in each query is submitted to the location server it divides into multiple subset by the location server. If the user makes a query to the server the data can be retrieved only for the registered users instead of all. We use Three Layer of Security likely, High, Medium and Low for the Privacy implementation. Simultaneously with a location sharing it offers check ability of the searching results reoccurred from the servers. We also prove that the new construction is safe under the stronger security model with enhanced privacy
The largest hyper-rectangle in a three dimensional orthogonal polyhedron
Given a three dimensional orthogonal polyhedron P, we present a simple and efficient algorithm for finding the three dimensional orthogonal hyper-rectangle R of maximum volume, such that R is completely contained in P. Our algorithm finds out the three dimensional hyper-rectangle of maximum volume by using space sweep technique and enumerating all possible such rectangles. The presented algorithm runs in O((+K)logn) time using O(n) space, where n is the number of vertices of the given polyhedron P and K is the number of reported three dimensional orthogonal hyper-rectangles for a problem instance, which is O() in the worst case

This results in the rise of multi-storey and high-rise building with irregular configuration. Past earthquake occurrences in India reveals that the buildings with irregular configuration are prone to earthquake damage. Therefore, it is obligatory to identify the seismic and wind response of structures with irregular shape in different zones of India. Shear Wall system is one of the most common systems used for lateral load resistance. It is necessary to identify the response of structure in different zones of India with and without Shear Wall. Studies on the production of some important secondary metabolites from the medicinal plants by plant tissue cultures.
[[abstract]]Plants are a tremendous source for the discovery of new products of medicinal value for drug development. Today several distinct chemicals derived from plants are important drugs currently used in one or more countries in the world. Many of the drugs sold today are simple synthetic modifications or copies of the naturally obtained substances. The evolving commercial importance of secondary metabolites has in recent years resulted in a great interest in secondary metabolism, particularly in the possibility of altering the production of bioactive plant metabolites by means of tissue culture technology. Plant cell culture technologies were introduced at the end of the 1960’s as a possible tool for both studying and producing plant secondary metabolites. Different strategies, using an in vitro system, have been extensively studied to improve the production of plant chemicals. The focus of the present review is the application of tissue culture technology for the production of some important plant pharmaceuticals. Also, we describe the results of in vitro cultures and production of some important secondary metabolites obtained in our laboratory

The present study aims to know the initiatives of business schools at Hyderabad in general and ICBM-SBE in specific. The objectives of the study are: to identify some of the dimensions of management education, to know the reasons for low outcomes in some of the conventional MBA colleges and to know the perceptions of the students about the quality of management education programmes at ICBM- SBE. Both primary and secondary data have been used for analysis. The sample size is 525. Purposive sampling is used. Statistical tools such as chi-square test, geometric mean, factor analysis and means scores on three point and five point rating are used for analysis. Two brand equity models, Viz., Brandz Model and Keller’s Model have been adapted.
The concluding part of the study states that the quality of management education revolves around three Is viz., Initiatives, Internal Processes and Insights. ICBM – School of Business Excellence which is at the top of the pyramid in both the brand equity models, is well appreciated for the commitment, intertwining information technology with transformation technology and above all for its insight. The MILLET MISSION: The potential to combat non-communicable diseases and future research opportunities in India
NCD Burden and the role of nutritionChronic diseases, often known as non-communicable diseases (NCDs), pose a significant threat to worldwide public health. As per World Health Organisation (WHO), NCDs account for 74% of all fatalities worldwide, with cardiovascular disease, cancer, respiratory disease, and diabetes being the leading causes.[1] Inadequate nutrition, including diets heavy in sugar, salt, saturated and trans fats, and deficient in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein sources, is a significant risk factor for NCDs. The World Health Organization suggests a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds and low in processed foods, sugar, saturated and trans fats.[2
Health-Beneficial Phenolic Aldehyde in Antigonon leptopus Tea
Tea prepared from the aerial parts of Antigonon leptopus is used as a remedy for cold and pain relief in many countries. In this study, A. leptopus tea, prepared from the dried aerial parts, was evaluated for lipid peroxidation (LPO) and cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzyme inhibitory activities. The tea as a dried extract inhibited LPO, COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes by 78%, 38% and 89%, respectively, at 100 μg/mL. Bioassay-guided fractionation of the extract yielded a selective COX-2 enzyme inhibitory phenolic aldehyde, 2,3,4-trihydroxy benzaldehyde. Also, it showed LPO inhibitory activity by 68.3% at 6.25 μg/mL. Therefore, we have studied other hydroxy benzaldehydes and their methoxy analogs for LPO, COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes inhibitory activities and found that compound 1 gave the highest COX-2 enzyme inhibitory activity as indicated by a 50% inhibitory concentration (IC50) at 9.7 μg/mL. The analogs showed only marginal LPO activity at 6.25 μg/mL. The hydroxy analogs 6, 7 and 9 showed 55%, 61% and 43% of COX-2 inhibition at 100 μg/mL. However, hydroxy benzaldehydes 3 and 12 showed selective COX-1 inhibition while compounds 4 and 10 gave little or no COX-2 enzyme inhibition at 100 μg/mL. At the same concentration, compounds 14, 21 and 22 inhibited COX-1 by 83, 85 and 70%, respectively. Similarly, compounds 18, 19 and 23 inhibited COX-2 by 68%, 72% and 70%, at 100 μg/mL. This is the first report on the isolation of compound 1 from A. leptopus tea with selective COX-2 enzyme and LPO inhibitory activities
