    Application of Aerated Lagoons to Tertiary Organic Treatment

    The objectives of this study were: (a) to determine if aeration of secondary treatment plant effluent will enhance wastewater quality; (b) to determine the most satisfactory detention times if aeration is feasible; (c) and, to determine if there is an advantage to operating aeration basins in series. To accomplish the objectives of this study a pilot plant was designed on a continuous now basis and then constructed at the Brookings wastewater treatment plant. Preliminary batch studies were made during the summer of 1967 to find the general ranges of the parameters used in the analyses. No definite values could be determined at that time because only one fifth of the student body was living_ on campus and consequently the waste flows were at a minimum. The main study utilizing the pilot plant with continuous flow was run in October and November and was divided into three testing periods. For each period the detention time and number of analyses varied. The analyses of the influent, reaction basins, and effluent samples consisted of chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), total suspended solids (TSS), and volatile suspended solids (VSS)

    Schedule data processing subjects in SMP stil lusing Microsoft Excel and there is no special application for the data processing schedule. So far, the schedule of subject sin Junior High School in Bandar Lampung announced manually with paper pasted on the notice board. Schedule these subject sin the form ofa table containing the code ssubject teachers. The code must be matched to the table the teacher to know the names o fsubjects. The problems that occurinthe process of finding these subjects usually areerrors in the code view teacher educators, so tha tthe name of the lessons learnedis invalid. The purpose of this study is to design a layout application schedule of subjects at Junior High School in Bandar Lampung. Software development methods in this study using the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models Waterfall. And data collectionis done by the method of observation and literature. Implementation of the Waterfall modelis described through system analysis, context diagram, DFD, the structure of the database tables, relationships between tables, and design input output. This research resulted in a layout application subject will give provide input to the school. In addition, this application will facilitate students and teacher stosee the schedule

    On the Born-Oppenheimer approximation of diatomic molecular resonances

    We give a new reduction of a general diatomic molecular Hamiltonian, without modifying it near the collision set of nuclei. The resulting effective Hamiltonian is the sum of a smooth semiclassical pseudodifferential operator (the semiclassical parameter being the inverse of the square-root of the nuclear mass), and a semibounded operator localised in the elliptic region corresponding to the nuclear collision set. We also study its behaviour on exponential weights, and give several applications where molecular resonances appear and can be well located.Comment: 22 page

    Karakterisasi Resistensi dan Dekolorisasi Berbagai Pewarna Oleh Bakteri Indigen Indonesia Escherichia coli Strain CN5

    The development of the textile industry in Indonesia is increasing the amount of dye waste produced. Copper is often a component of dyes, both of which harm aquatic ecosystems because they cannot be degraded. These problems can be overcome by bioremediation using bacteria isolated from polluted waters, called indigenous bacteria. It is hoped that indigenous bacteria can degrade textile waste and reduce copper toxicity in waters. This study aims to characterize, test resistance, and test the decolorization of the Indonesian indigenous bacterial isolate CN5 to dye and copper. There are 12 kinds of dyes used, namely: methylene blue, malachite green, congo red, mordant orange, reactive black, direct yellow, basic fuchsin, reactive orange, disperse orange, remasol red, wantex yellow, and wantex red. Resistance and decolorization tests on solid medium were carried out by growing bacterial cultures into luria bertani agar medium, each of which added a different type of dye. The dye concentrations tested were 100 ppm and 500 ppm. The ability to decolorize is known from the presence of a clear zone around the bacterial colony. The percentage of decolorization was tested using a spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 300-900 nanometers. Bacterial identification was carried out by 16S-rRNA sequencing. The results showed that CN5 isolates had a base similarity of 100% with Escherichia coli, so hereinafter referred to as E. coli strain CN5 could grow at 200 ppm and 500 ppm methylene blue, malachite green, congo red, mordant orange, reactive black, direct yellow, reactive orange, disperse orange, red remasol, yellow wantex, and red wantex but did not grow on fuchsin basic dye. Colonies of E. coli strain CN5 were only able to decolorize methylene blue with a concentration of 200 ppm and 500 ppm seen from the clear zone formed around the colony. The decolorization of methylene blue that occurred was 92.47%. The addition of copper reduced the decolorization ability to 75.59%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the E. coli strain CN5 has the potential to be used as a bioremediation agent for textile waste containing copper and methylene blue.Key words: dye; E. coli; copper; decolorization; resistan

    Program news feature merupakan salah satu program televisi yang diciptakan dan diproduksi berdasarkan realitas kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan menghadirkan program news feature yang ringan maka suatu program bisa dengan mudah di nikmati dan dipahami oleh khalayak luas, terkhusus target audiens yang ingin dicapai. Dengan melihat keunggulan dari news feature maka dibuatlah suatu program news feature berjudul “IS IT YOU?”. “IS IT YOU?” merupakan suatu program news feature yang akan mengangkat realitas kehidupan anak muda jama sekarang, dengan kemasan yang menghibur tetapi tidak mengesampingkan unsur edukasi di dalamnya. Fenomena di sekitar anak muda sekarang ini yang nantinya akan dikritisi lewat program news feature ini.Pada program news feature “IS IT YOU?” penulis bertugas sebagai penulis naskah. Penulis naskah merupakan blueprint untuk semua tim produksi, karena naskah yang dibuat nantinya akan menjadi pedoman dalam pengambilan gambar hingga proses editing. Penulis naskah lebih banyak melakukan tugas pada saat pra produksi dengan melakukan riset naskah, riset narsumber dan juga pembuatan Standard Sequence Guide. Saat produksi berlangsung terdapat Perubahan beberapa episode dan juga Perubahan angel, sehingga penulis naskah harus membuat naskah yang baru, selain itu penulis naskah juga mempersiapkan list pertanyaan tambahan untuk setiap wawancara, sebagai cadangan ketika wawancara kekurangan list pertanyaan dan durasi yang dibutuhkan masih panjang. Kemudian beberapa hambatan juga dialami oleh penulis naskah kebanyakan terjadi ketika pergantian angel dan juga episode sehingga penulis naskah harus melakukan riset ulang dengan rentan waktu yang singkat. Tetapi secara keseluruhan dari testimoni yang diberikan oleh beberapa masyarakat bahwa isi dari program news feature sudah pas karena memang sekarang ini fenomena yang terjadi pada anak muda seperti itu, dan juga pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diajukan juga sudah cukup memberikan sentilan kepada anak muda, tetapi terdapat beberapa bagian yang harus masih diperbaiki agar program news feature “IS IT YOU?” bisa lebih baik
