    Geologi Daerah Kuniran dan Sekitarnya, Kecamatan Wirosari, Kabupaten Grobogan – Pati, Propinsi Jawa Tengah

    Daerah pemetaan berada di selatan Pegunungan Kapur Utara, yang termasuk ke dalam Zona Antiklinorium Rembang yang merupakan bagian dari Cekungan Jawa Timur Bagian Utara. Pada daerah pemetaan secara umum terbagi menjadi bentuklahan kars, struktural, dan denudasional, yang memiliki pola pengaliran paralel dan multi-basinal. Satuan litologi dibagi menjadi empat, yaitu Satuan Batugamping Berfosil, Batugamping Kalkarenit, Batulanau, dan Batupasir Karbonatan. Awalnya terbentuk Satuan Batupasir Karbonatan yang termasuk ke dalam Formasi Ngrayong (Tmn) berumur Miosen Tengah yang terbentuk pada lingkungan laut dangkal. Kemudian terjadi regresi sehingga terendapkan Satuan Batulanau yang tergolong ke dalam Formasi Ngrayong dan terbentuk pada Kala Miosen Tengah pada lingkungan transisi. Selanjutnya, terjadi transgresi sehingga lingkungan berubah menjadi laut dangkal (fore reef facies hingga zona batial atas), dan terbentuklah Batugamping Kalkarenit yang termasuk ke dalam Formasi Bulu (Tmb) bagian bawah yang tersusun oleh fosil Nodosaria sp., Bathysiphon rufescens, Miogypsina, dan Miogypsinoides yang berumur Miosen Tengah. Pada bagian atas Formasi Bulu yang terbentuk di sekitar fasies terumbu (reef-flat dan reef-crest facies), dijumpai Batugamping Berfosil dengan fosil Lepidocyclina, Discocyclina, Miogypsina, Miogypsinoides, Nummulites, Pelecypoda, alga, koral, Gastropoda yang juga berumur Miosen Tengah. Pada Pliosen Akhir, terjadi beberapa kali deformasi tektonik. Awalnya, terbentuk struktur lipatan (Sinklin Dokoro dan Antiklin Grenggeng) dengan arah gaya relatif utara-selatan. Kemudian terjadi deformasi tektonik yang membentuk kekar gerus (Brubulan) dan sesar naik dengan arah gaya utama pembentuk relatif timur-barat. Sesar Grenggeng dan Sesar Tegalrejo tersebut menyebabkan Formasi Ngrayong tersingkap ke permukaan. Setelah itu, terjadi gaya tektonik yang membentuk Sesar Sawahan yang menggeser Satuan Batupasir Karbonatan dan Sinklin Dokoro pada daerah pemetaan di bagian utara. Selanjutnya, terbentuk deformasi sesar normal (Sesar Kuniran, Sesar Blimbing, dan Sesar Dempel) dengan arah gaya pembentuk sesar yaitu berarah timurlaut – baratdaya, dengan gawir yang memanjang baratlaut – tenggara. Pada Kala Holosen, didominasi oleh proses eksogenik seperti pelarutan batugamping, pelapukan, erosi, transportasi, deposisi, dan gerakan massa. Sehingga terbentuklah bentuklahan denudasional yang melampar cukup luas. Pelarutan air pada batugamping dapat menjadikan batugamping sebagai akuifer airtanah yang cukup baik pada Batugamping Berfosil Formasi Bulu. Hal itu dikarenakan batugamping memiliki struktur perlapisan sehingga mudah dilalui air dan larut, serta memiliki porositas primer, porositas sekunder, dan porositas tersier yang disebabkan oleh aktivitas akar tumbuhan yang menerobos batuan

    Beyond-the-Standard-Model Higgs physics using the ATLAS experiment

    The ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider discovered a new particle, with a mass of 125GeV and properties compatible with that predicted for the Higgs boson by the Standard Model. Understanding if this particle is part of a larger and more complex Higgs sector is one of the major challenges for particle physics experiments. In this report, an overview on latest results obtained on LHC Run-1 data by the ATLAS experiment on Beyond-the-Standard- Model Higgs searches is presented. Searches for new physics in the Higgs sector are presented and interpreted in well-motivated theoretical frameworks, including the two-Higgs-doublet Models and the Minimal and Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model

    From the emotional integration to the cognitive construction: the developmental approach of Turtle Project in children with autism spectrum disorder

    Background: Children with autism spectrum disorder show a deficit in neurobiological processes. This deficit hinders the development of intentional behavior and appropriate problem-solving, leading the child to implement repetitive and stereotyped behaviors and to have difficulties in reciprocal interactions, empathy and in the development of a theory of mind. The objective of this research is to verify the effectiveness of a relationship-based approach on the positive evolution of autistic symptoms. Method: A sample of 80 children with autism spectrum disorder was monitored during the first four years of therapy, through a clinical diagnostic assessment at the time of intake and then in two follow-up. Results: The results showed that through the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule it is possible to assess the socio-relational key elements on which the therapy is based. There was evidence, in fact, of significant improvements after two and four years of therapy, both for children with severe autistic symptoms and for those in autistic spectrum. Conclusions: Socio-relational aspects represent the primary element on which work in therapy with autistic children and can be considered as indicators of a positive evolution and prognosis that will produce improvements even in the cognitive are

    The major problem of this research is what the influence of friendship reflected on major character. The objective of the study is to analyze the film based on its structural elements and to analyze the film based on behaviorism analysis. In analyzing Ice Age film, the writer uses behaviorism approach and qualitative method. The object of the study is the personality of major character in Ice Age released in 2002. The data sources are literary data divided into two categories, primary data and secondary data. The primary data source is Ice Age Film itself and the secondary data source is other sources related to the data analysis. The method of data collection of the study is library research. The technique of data analysis is descriptive analysis. There are two results of the study; the first result comes from structural analysis. The structural elements in the film include character and characterizations, plot, point of view, mise_en_scene, sound, theme, style, cinematography and the last is editor. The analysis shows that each of the elements are interrelated to each other. Therefore it makes easier to the reader in understanding the story of the Ice Age film. The second result comes from behavior analysis; the study shows that the influence on major character gives the positive impact of his personality.     Utilitarianism on the front lines: COVID-19, public ethics, and the "hidden assumption" problem

    How should we think of the preferences of citizens? Whereas self-optimal policy is relatively straightforward to produce, socially optimal policy often requires a more detailed examination. In this paper, we identify an issue that has received far too little attention in welfarist modelling of public policy, which we name the "hidden assumptions" problem. Hidden assumptions can be deceptive because they are not expressed explicitly and the social planner (e.g. a policy maker, a regulator, a legislator) may not give them the critical attention they need. We argue that ethical expertise has a direct role to play in public discourse because it is hard to adopt a position on major issues like public health policy or healthcare prioritisation without making contentious assumptions about population ethics. We then postulate that ethicists are best situated to critically evaluate these hidden assumptions, and can therefore play a vital role in public policy debates.Comment: Forthcoming in Ethics & Bioethic

    Praktik Lapangan Terbimbing (PLT) merupakan salah satu bentuk mata kuliah yang bertujuan mendapatkan pengalaman tentang proses pembelajaran dan kegiatan persekolahan lainnya yang digunakan sebagai bekal untuk menjadi calon tenaga pendidik. Praktik Lapangan Terbimbing (PLT) memiliki misi yaitu untuk menyiapkan dan menghasilkan tenaga kependidikan (guru) yang memiliki nilai, sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan secara profesional, maka pelaksanaan PLT ini akan sangat membantu mahasiswa dalam memasuki dunia kependidikan dan sebagai sarana untuk menerapkan ilmu yang diperolehnya selama mengikuti perkuliahan. Kegiatan PLT Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta tahun 2017 yang berlokasi di SMA Negeri 10 Yogyakarta dilaksanakan pada tanggal 15 September - 15 November 2017. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PLT dimulai dari observasi hingga pelaksanaan PLT yang terbagi menjadi beberapa tahap yaitu persiapan mengajar, pelaksanaan mengajar, dan evaluasi hasil mengajar. Kegiatan praktik mengajar dilaksanakan di kelas X MIPA 3 dan X MIPA 4 dengan mengajar mata pelajaran kimia. Materi yang telah diajarkan antara lain Kestabilan Unsur, Struktur Lewis, Ikatan Ion, Ikatan Kovalen, Ikatan Kovalen Koordinasi, Ikatan Logam, Sifat Fisik Senyawa, dan Kepolaran Senyawa Kovalen sesuai dengan silabus mata pelajaran kimia. Selain itu, praktikan juga berperan dalam kegiatan persekolahan lainnya seperti piket di lobby, piket perpustakaan, dan lain-lain. Berdasarkan program PLT yang dirumuskan, selama kegiatan PPL, praktikan dapat merealisasikan program-program tersebut. Hasil dari kegiatan PPL yaitu praktik mengajar sebanyak 20 jam pelajaran di kelas X yaitu kelas X MIPA 3 dan X MIPA 4, serta menggantikan guru pembimbing yang sedang diklat dengan mengajar kelas X MIPA 1 dan X MIPA 2 sebanyak 3 jam pelajaran. Keberhasilan PLT yang dilakukan praktikan tidak terlepas dari dukungan pihak sekolah, khususnya guru pembimbing serta dosen pembimbing lapangan (DPL). Oleh karena itu, harapannya program kegiatan PLT dapat dijadikan sebagai sarana untuk pembentukan calon guru atau tenaga kependidikan yang profesiona

    Hydrogeochemical Characterization of GeothermalWater in Arjuno-Welirang, East Java, Indonesia

    Arjuno-Welirang Volcanic Complex (AWVC) is one of geothermal fields whichlocated in East Java province, Indonesia. It belongs to a Quarternary volcanic arc and has potential for development of electricity. The field is situated in a steep volcanic terrain and there are only few geothermal manifestations, i.e., hot springs, fumaroles, solfataras, steaming ground and hydrothermal alteration. This study aims to classify the type and source of geothermal fluid and to estimate the reservoir condition of Arjuno- Welirang geothermal system. Data are obtained from collecting water samples including hot springs, cold springs, river waters and rain water, then they are analyzed using ICP-AES, titration and ion chromatography.All thermal waters have temperatures from 39.5–53°C and weakly acidic pH (5.2–6.5). Cangar and Padusanhot springs show bicarbonate water, formed by steam condensing or groundwater mixing. On the other hand, Songgoriti shows Cl-HCO3 type, formed by dilution of chloride fluid by either groundwater or bicarbonate water during lateral flow. All of the waters represent immature waters, indicating no strong outflow of neutral Cl-rich deep waters in AWVC. Cl/B ratios show that all water samples have a similar mixing ratio, showing they are from common fluid sources. However, Padusan and Songgoriti have higher Cl/B ratios than Cangar, suggesting that geothermal fluids possibly have reacted with sedimentary rocks before ascending to the surface. All waters were possibly mixed with shallow groundwater and they underwent rock-water reactions at depth before ascending to the surface. An estimated temperatures reservoir calculated using CO2 geothermometer yielded temperatures of 262–263 °C based on collecting of fumarole gas at Mt. Welirang crater. According to their characteristics, Cangar and Padusan are associated with AWVC, while Songgoriti is associated with Mt. Kawi

    KARAKTERISTIK GEOKIMIA DAN PETROGENESIS BATUAN BEKU PRODUK GUNUNG PANDAN DI DAERAH GONDANG, BOJONEGORO, JAWA TIMUR

    Gunung Pandan merupakan produk vulkanisme Kuarter di Jawa Timur yang saat ini sudah tidak aktif. Produk vulkanisme berupa batuan beku di antaranya ditemukan di Gunung Watu, Jati, Puru dan Lawang. Secara regional, lokasi penelitian berada di antara volcanic front dan back arc volcano Pulau Jawa yang merupakan hasil subduksi busur kepulauan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana karakteristik geokimia batuan di daerah penelitian, afinitas magma, dan asal tatanan tektonik pembentuknya. Metode yang digunakan di penelitian ini adalah pemetaan geologi, analisis petrologi, dan analisis geokimia dengan x-ray fluorescence (XRF). Daerah penelitian secara umum tersusun atas andesit piroksen dan andesit hornblende dengan tekstur porfiritik. Analisis geokimia menunjukkan batuan termasuk ke dalam jenis high-K andesite dan high-K basaltic andesite. Seiring meningkatnya kandungan SiO2, oksida utama FeO, CaO, dan Al2O3 mengalami penurunan sedangkan K2O mengalami kenaikan. Afinitas magma batuan beku di daerah penelitian adalah high-K calc alkaline. Gunung Pandan berasal dari tatanan tektonik calc-alkali basalt dan island arc basalt serta menunjukkan variasi spasial K2O yang konsisten dengan Gunung Wilis, Lasem, dan Muria
