Review and analysis of the Spanish regulations on health and social care of people with neurodegenerative diseases and their families

Background; Neurodegenerative diseases (ND) constitute a problem of great magnitude, seriousness and complexity that require actions in the diverse areas of the Health and Social System (Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales e Igualdad, 2016). These actions must cover the basic needs of patients and their families, while improving their care and quality of life. Given this situation, the aim of this study is to carry out a detailed review of the current national and regional regulations regarding health and social care of people with ND and their families. Method; After a systematic review of 102 regulatory measures in Spain and in the Autonomous Community of Castile and Leon, those failing to consider the family of the person with ND were discarded. Finally, 35 instructions related to ND in terms of health and social services were analyzed and classified according to their scope (9 state regulations, 16 autonomous community regulations and 10 approved strategies). Result; The analyses showed that: (1) only 34% of the regulatory instructions include contents that are directly or indirectly related to the quality of life of the families of these patients; (2) analyzed instructions do not specify how to coordinate resources and services in the health and social welfare sector for the care of people with ND and their families. Conclusion; This study shows the lack of regulations in our region and country that specifically focus on the families of people with ND, as these relatives are not deemed to be direct beneficiaries. A Comparative Study Of Gender-Based Violence Among Women In Prison

[EN] The Bangkok Rules call for programs and interventions aimed at care and rehabilitation with a focus on individual needs and in particular on gender and trauma management and the specific needs of women in prison need to be identified. This research aims to carry out a comparative study in prison of the situation of women who have suffered violence in their intimate partner relationships versus those who have not suffered this type of violence and specifically a) to analyze the differences between these women taking into account the intersectional model, b) to identify the different types of violence experienced and c) their relationship with the use of medication as a strategy for coping with the trauma suffered. Seventy-six interviews were carried out with women, 56% of whom had suffered situations of abuse. Among the results obtained, it stands out that the violence suffered is not related to their country of origin, the types of violence suffered are characterized by economic, psychological and sexual violence, these women have suffered bidirectional and situational violence and the use of medication is prevalent among women who have suffered abuse

Alcohol and Other Drugs Prevention Programme with Secondary School Students in the Therapeutic and Educational Unit at Villabona Prison

El consum de substàncies tòxiques per part dels joves és un fenomen social molt present. Des de l’administració pública i també des d’entitats socials i del tercer sector es duen a terme diversitat de campanyes i iniciatives orientades a la prevenció d’aquests consums amb orientacions i objectius diversos. En aquest article presentem una programa de prevenció que es desenvolupa a la Unitat Terapèutica i Educativa del Centre Penitenciari de Villabona, en el qual participen les persones internes, els professionals de la unitat i estudiants de centres d’educació secundària d’Astúries. La seva principal eina de conscienciació i de prevenció és la història de vida narrada en primera persona pels mateixos interns, centrada en la seva història de consum i en les conseqüències personals, de salut, relacionals i socials. A través d’aquestes experiències els joves s’apropen a la realitat més dura del consum de drogues i tenen l’oportunitat de valorar-ne les conseqüències.El consumo de sustancias toxicas por parte de los jóvenes es un fenómeno social muy presente. Desde la administración pública y también desde entidades sociales y del tercer sector se llevan a cabo diversidad de campañas e iniciativas orientadas a la prevención de estos consumos con orientaciones y objetivos diversos. En este artículo presentamos un programa de prevención que se desarrolla en la Unidad Terapéutica y Educativa del Centro Penitenciario de Villabona, en el que participan las personas internas, los profesionales de la unidad y estudiantes de centros de educación secundaria de Asturias. Su principal herramienta de concienciación y de prevención es la historia de vida narrada en primera persona por los propios internos, centrada en su historia de consumo y en las consecuencias personales, de salud, relaciones y sociales. A través de estas experiencias los jóvenes se acercan a la realidad más dura del consumo de drogas y tienen la oportunidad de valorar sus posibles consecuencias.The consumption of toxic substances by young people is a very widespread social phenomenon. The public authorities and social organizations and the third sector are conducting a variety of campaigns and initiatives aimed at preventing this consumption with a range of guidelines and objectives. In this paper we present a prevention programme developed in the Therapeutic and Educational Unit at Villabona prison, which involved prisoners, unit staff and students from secondary schools in Asturias. The main instrument for fostering awareness and prevention is the life stories told in the first person by the inmates themselves, emphasizing their history of toxic substance consumption and the implications of this in terms of life chances, health, and personal and social relationships. By way of these experiences the young people are introduced to the harsh reality of drug use and have the opportunity to assess the possible consequences

Spaces of opportunity. The urban recycling in the context of the renovation of the social habitat in France

Las intervenciones de reciclaje de hábitat social se caracterizan por estar ubicadas en un entorno especialmente sensible tanto por el grado de obsolescencia urbana como por su condición de espacio habitado. Esto exige una metodología interdisciplinar desde la cual el proceso pueda gestionarse en sus diferentes aspectos, poniendo en relación el trabajo de los técnicos especializados en cada ámbito con las administraciones competentes, la empresa propietaria (en el caso de viviendas sociales en régimen de alquiler) y los habitantes. La investigación aquí presentada está basada en el análisis de las metodologías de reciclaje urbano desarrolladas en una serie de casos de estudio situados en Francia. En todos estos casos, observamos las implicaciones en los tres aspectos del ciclo de vida del hábitat: de los elementos que lo componen, de los espacios que lo soportan, de las personas que lo habitan. Los resultados nos llevan a aproximarnos a una definición general de los pasos de desarrollo de un proceso de reciclaje urbano, según diferentes grados de intervención, entendiendo el proyecto de arquitectura como recorrido parcial en el camino hacia la transformación del hábitat. Concluimos que la vía para neutralizar los procesos de obsolescencia es dotar a viviendas y entorno de las herramientas necesarias para que sean capaz de auto-regenerarse y prolongar así su ciclo de vida.Reciclying interventions of the social habitat are characterized by being situated in specially sensitive environments because of their degree of urban obsolescence as well as for their condition of inhabitated spaces. This requires an interdisciplinary methodology from which the process can be handled from its different approaches, linking the work of specialized technitians in every field with that of the competent administrations, the owning company (in the case of social dwelling to rent) and the inhabitants. Our research is based in the analysis of different working methodologies as applied in a series of case studies situated in France. In every case we observe the implications in the three aspects of the habitat’s life cycle: that of the elements that integrate it; that of the architecture that lies beneath it; and that of the people that live in it. Results approaches us to a general definition of the steps to develop the project, according to different intervention degrees, understanding the architectural project as a partial path of a more complex transformation process handled as a whole. Our conclusions reveal how empowering those recycling activators is a feasible way to provide dwellings and their environment with the necessary tools to make them be able to auto-regenerate and thus enlarge their life cycle.Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (España) BIA. 2008/0275

El projecte Facebook històric, pretén ser un aplicatiu web amb l'objectiu principal de mostrar d'una manera intuïtiva i gràfica tota la informació que s'ha obtingut fins al moment dels nostres avantpassats. També serà un aplicatiu que permetrà a qualsevol persona poder fer una publicació (text, fotografia, vídeo, document digital·litzat, etc), per així poder anar construint d'alguna manera el lifelogging dels nostres avantpassats i saber la manera en com estaven relacionats uns avantpassats amb altres avantpassats. Durant el desenvolupament d'aquest projecte la única relació que s'ha pogut establir entre els diferents avantpassats, és la de relació familiar.The historic Facebook project aims to be a web application with the main objective of showing in an intuitive and graphic way all the information that has been obtained until the moment of our ancestors. It will also be an application that will allow anyone to make a publication (text, photography, video, digital document, etc.) so that we can build some lifelogging of our ancestors and know how the ancestors were related each with others. Taller formativo para la inclusión de una plataforma gamificada en el plan lector de 1.º eso. Ta-tum, el lugar donde los libros cobran vida.

Los resultados obtenidos en la última edición disponible de El Programa para la Evaluación Internacional de los Estudiantes muestran unas carencias significativas en las destrezas relacionadas con las habilidades de comprensión escrita. A su vez, los docentes advierten del poco entusiasmo y la ausencia de motivación que transmiten los aprendices ante la lectura en los centros educativos. Esto explica la falta de eficacia y de sentido crítico a la hora de afrontar un texto. De esta manera, se comprenden los bajos índices con relación a los hábitos de lectura, y, en consecuencia, a las pruebas de diagnóstico. El interés y el compromiso en los planes lectores del centro son esenciales para cambiar la perspectiva del alumnado. En este sentido, la intervención temprana adquiere un papel relevante, ya que cuanto antes se alcance el nivel deseado, mayor será el éxito obtenido. Así pues, el objetivo principal de este trabajo de innovación es mejorar la competencia lectora de los estudiantes mediante la implantación de una plataforma gamificada que contribuya a la mejora del Plan Lector del Centro. Para ello, los docentes de la asignatura de Lengua Castellana y Literatura de 1.º ESO llevarán a cabo un taller formativo de este soporte digital llamado Ta-tum.2021-2

The Role of Geographical Area and Entrepreneurs' Personality

[EN] This study proposed a line of research on entrepreneurship based on the analysis of personality traits and geographical area. Its objective is to identify whether certain personality traits or sociocultural variables typical of a particular geographical area influence those who have already started an entrepreneurial activity to keep it up, in other words, to maintain their entrepreneurial intention. The research results reach a sample of 479 entrepreneurs from two Iberian Peninsula geographical areas. The analyse of the psychometric properties on the Entrepreneurial Orientation Questionnaire (EOQ) identified five dimensions of the enterprising personality. They also evidence that geographical location is a factor that contributes to the development of the entrepreneurial intentions that determine the business profile. The results show that entrepreneurs in the northern area tend to maintain their business than those in the central zone
