Invariants of complex structures on nilmanifolds

We define a left invariant Riemannian metric on N compatible with J to be minimal, if it minimizes the norm of the invariant part of the Ricci tensor among all compatible metrics with the same scalar curvature. In [7], J. Lauret proved that minimal metrics (if any) are unique up to isometry and scaling. This uniqueness allows us to distinguish two complex structures with Riemannian data, giving rise to a great deal of invariants. We show how to use a Riemannian invariant: the eigenvalues of the Ricci operator, polynomial invariants and discrete invariants to give an alternative proof of the pairwise non-isomorphism between the structures which have appeared in the classification of abelian complex structures on 6-dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras given in [1]. Composition and dynamics in space and time of polychaete larvae in coastal waters of the North Sea

Polychaete meroplanktonic larvae from the List tidal basin were identified, their horizontal and vertical distribution patterns described, and temporal abundance fluctuations analyzed. Tides cause marked changes in the depth of this basin, while seasonality and weather dependence cause high environmental and biological variability. The taxonomic composition was analyzed from samplings undertaken between 1996-2002, during flood and ebb periods. Spionid, phyllodocid, and polynoid larvae are representative for this basin, accounting 60% of the total number of taxa (46 taxa). The larval production is numerically dominated by Pygospio elegans, Spio martinensis, Polydora cornuta and Lanice conchilega. Since their benthic stages are well known inside the basin, a large proportion of the larval production can be considered local. The low correspondence between benthic and planktonic assemblages suggested a qualitatively important input of long-distance larval vagrants. Sites within the basin differed in species composition, suggesting that larvae are not randomly mixed by the tidal hydrodynamics. Polychaete larvae are retained inside the basin, in spite of the continuous exchange of water with the North Sea. Analyses of the spatial distribution undertaken at three spatial scales during flood and ebb periods indicated that benthic occurrence, coastal morphology, and larval behavior could enhance species-specific distribution patterns. Significant fluctuations in total and partial larval abundances occurred between 1996-2001 were probably related to variables with influence over gonadal maturation and spawning in adult stages, as well as larval feeding and performances

Research trends in the field of organisational management: A bibliometric analysis

Purpose: Studies into organisational management are considered key to understanding the characteristics of the organisational fabric in general, and administrative managers’ capacity for reflection is particularly relevant to achieving a more intricate and in-depth comprehension of the organisational context. Nonetheless, despite the importance of such studies, there is a lack of alignment in the specialised literature and no review articles that allow us to identify research trends in the field. The purpose of this paper is, thus, to identify the main research trends in the literature on organisational management. Design/Methodology: We conducted a bibliometric analysis with 457 articles following the PRISMA Statement guidelines, which is why we specified the inclusion and exclusion criteria, data sources, search strategy, and the data collection and selection processes we employed. Findings: The increasingly growing amount of research done on the topic is evidence of its significance. Using quality and quantity indicators, we were able to identify the most productive authors, journals, and countries in the field. Also, by means of a keyword analysis, we identified the most relevant research trends and classified them per year. According to the results of such analysis, organisational performance and organisational culture are currently the most influential topics, and themes related to transformational leadership are likely to be increasingly used in future research. Public communication as a guiding strategy in citizen participation processes of youth /

El presente artículo de investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el papel de los procesos de comunicación pública y participación ciudadana en la gestión que hacen las organizaciones gubernamentales, a fin de facilitar una comunicación más eficaz con los grupos de interés, que para el presente caso se enfoca en las comunidades jóvenes. La metodología planteada se basa en la indagación de fuentes secundarias de información alrededor del objetivo planteado a través de la búsqueda en bases de datos académicas y gubernamentales, las cuales se examinan con el objetivo de extraer las estrategias exitosas de comunicación y participación ciudadana de los jóvenes. Se concluye que dichos espacios generan la participación de los grupos de interés desde la toma activa de decisiones y el aprovechamiento de espacios públicos. Además, se deben buscar estrategias más allá del uso de medios masivos de comunicación; orientándose a propiciar el diálogo, la escucha y la satisfacción de necesidades de interés social en los grupos de intervención.Universidad Autónoma del Caribe

Factores que influyen en la intención emprendedora de estudiantes de psicología de la modalidad virtual

Most of the studies on entrepreneurial intention have been applied in university students under a face-to-face modality. However, it is also important to consider the context of the students in the virtual mode, that is, those students at a distance, so the objective of this study is to identify the most influential factors in the entrepreneurial intention of enrolled psychology university students in virtual mode. For this, a study with a quantitative approach is applied in which the Factorial Analysis statistical technique is used from the application of a survey to 178 psychology students from the Catholic North University Foundation. The convergent and discriminant validity of the proposed model is evaluated from the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Business Event Model, as well as the reliability and contrast of hypotheses. The results allow identifying relevant relationships between attitude, perceived behavior control, entrepreneurial behavior, and current behavior control with respect to the entrepreneurial intention of the surveyed students. Based on these results, it is possible to identify themost influential factors in the entrepreneurial intention of students, which allow strengthening from higher education institutions and universities the academic programs aimed at fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of psychology students in the virtual modality.La mayoría de los estudios sobre intención emprendedora se han aplicado a estudiantes universitarios en la modalidad presencial. Sin embargo, también es importante considerar el contexto de los estudiantes en la modalidad virtual, es decir, estudiantes a distancia, por lo que el objetivo de este estudio es identificar los factores más influyentes en la intención emprendedora de estudiantes universitarios de psicología inscritos en la modalidad virtual. Para esto, se aplica un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo en el cual se utiliza la técnica estadística Análisis Factorial a partir de la aplicación de una encuesta a 178 estudiantes de psicología de la Católica del Norte Fundación Universitaria. Se evalúa la validez convergente y discriminante del modelo propuesto a partir de la Teoría del Comportamiento Planificado y el Modelo del Evento Empresarial, así como la fiabilidad y contraste de hipótesis. Los resultados permiten identificar relaciones relevantes entre la actitud, el control de comportamientopercibido, el comportamiento emprendedor y el control de la conducta actual con respecto a la intención empresarial de los estudiantes encuestados. A partir de estos resultados es posible identificar los factores más influyentes en la intenciónemprendedora de los estudiantes, que permitan fortalecer desde las instituciones de educación superior y universidades los programas académicos orientados a fomentar el espíritu emprendedor de estudiantes de psicología en la modalidad virtual

Using interactive learning objects in teaching accounting sciences: a case study

Interactive learning objects (ILOs) are tools that can enhance and promote teaching in various fields of knowledge. For instance, GeoGebra is free educational software designed for teaching and learning mathematics. It is interactive mathematical software that can help students better understand accounting concepts and visualize complex financial relationships, making it easier to learn abstract concepts. Additionally, it can be used to explore what-if financial scenarios, which can help students develop their decision-making skills. The purpose of this article is to investigate the impact of GeoGebra on the development of mathematical skills among accounting science students. It contributes to the literature by demonstrating the effectiveness of teaching financial concepts through the application of five linear functions and their mathematical relationships in GeoGebra. This approach bridges the gap between differential calculus knowledge and the ability to achieve a geometric understanding and interpretation of the lines that can be created with this dynamic software. It also enables the interpretation of financial statement concepts based on the variations of the lines. GeoGebra, mathematical software, will feature a comprehensive income statement (CIS) as one of its relevant financial statements in financial accounting. Starting with an equation containing 15 variables, 2 are selected to represent the abscissa and ordinate axes, while the remaining 13 are considered parameters that can be adjusted by the user in the OIA windows. By changing these values, the equation will produce a straight line. It is worth noting that using OIA can be an effective strategy for enhancing one’s understanding of the basic sciences. Entre encuentros y desencuentros; tensiones y aperturas; saberes y aprendizajes : una experiencia de frente a la realidad social

A continuación presentamos el resultado del proceso investigativo modalidad sistematización, en este caso, de nuestra experiencia de práctica académica como estudiantes de Trabajo Social de la Universidad del Valle en la Institución Educativa Nuevo Latir, desde el mes de septiembre de 2016 hasta julio de 2017. En esta sistematización recalcamos, entre otras cosas, el hecho de que la nuestra fue la primera experiencia de práctica en la Institución Educativa Nuevo Latir tanto para la Universidad, Programa Académico y obviamente para nosotros, lo cual representó un reto y responsabilidad adicional, pues de una u otra forma, nuestra participación y logros en el proceso representarían la posibilidad de continuar o no con esta Institución como centro de práctica para cohortes venideras, además de que seríamos los primeros referentes para muchos de los miembros de la comunidad educativa del Trabajo Social como profesión y del quehacer de la misma, y de los Trabajadores y Trabajadoras Sociales como profesionales y en nuestra condición humana. Por otra parte, nuestro interés también se centró en evidenciar la posibilidad que el Trabajo Social como profesión haga parte de los equipos interdisciplinarios de las instituciones de educación formal básica y secundaria, ya sea desde el lugar de profesionales o como en nuestro caso, de practicantes de esta disciplina/profesión; esto sustentado en los aportes que permite realizar nuestra profesión en términos de investigación y de intervención sobre las problemáticas identificadas, aportes que quedarán en evidencia más adelante....PregradoTRABAJADOR(A) SOCIA
