Fractional Newton-Raphson Method Accelerated with Aitken's Method
The Newton-Raphson (N-R) method is characterized by the fact that generating
a divergent sequence can lead to the creation of a fractal, on the other hand
the order of the fractional derivatives seems to be closely related to the
fractal dimension, based on the above, a method was developed that makes use of
the N-R method and the fractional derivative of Riemann-Liouville (R-L) that
has been named as the Fractional Newton-Raphson (F N-R) method.
In the following work we present a way to obtain the convergence of the F N-R
method, which seems to be at least linearly convergent for the case where the
order of the derivative is different from one, a simplified way to
construct the fractional derivative and fractional integral operators of R-L is
presented, an introduction to the Aitken's method is made and it is explained
why it has the capacity to accelerate the convergence of iterative methods to
finally present the results that were obtained when implementing the Aitken's
method in F N-R method.Comment: Newton-Raphson Method, Fractional Calculus, Fractional Derivative of

Garvin’s generalized problem revisited
One of the great classical problems in theoretical seismology is Garvin’s problem, which deals with the response of an elastic half-space subjected to a blast line source applied in its interior. However, Garvin (Exact transient solution of the buried line source problem. Proceedings of the Royal Society of London, Series A 1956;528–541[4]) himself provided only the solution for points on the free surface of the half-space. Although a rigorous extension to points in the interior of the half-space was given nearly decade-and-a-half later by Alterman and Loewenthal (Algebraic expressions for the impulsive motion of an elastic half-space. Israel Journal of Technology 1969; 7 (6):495–504[1]), these scientists published their paper in a technical journal of rather restricted circulation, as a result of which their complete solution remained largely unnoticed by the geophysical and soil dynamics communities. This article revisits Garvin’s generalized problem, presents a concise rendition and summary together with a very effective and accurate simplification, and examines the response characteristics for a pair of buried source-receiver location. It also includes a compact and very effective Matlab program for its evaluation.
In the last few years there is a growing interest in the antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of several polyphenols, especially flavonoids, which are present in several plants. Wine industry by- products (grape pomace, skin and seeds) and wine polyphenols extracts contain a wide range of these phenolic compounds. The functional properties of these polyphenols could be useful and applicable in animal nutrition. These effects have not been studied in chickens. Recent studies have shown that dietary inclusion of these grape by-products in broilers increased the oxidative stability of chicken meat in similar way that those obtained with the addition of Vitamin E. By the other hand, the use of these by-products has also been associated with a favourable modification of the intestinal microbiota by reducing the presence of several harmful bacteria and favouring other beneficial bacteEn los últimos años ha cobrado especial interés la capacidad antioxidante y antimicrobiana que poseen determinados polifenoles, especialmente flavonoides, presentes en diferentes vegetales.

The intervention project ?lyric reading in the potentiation of developing oral skills in students of the third grade of school Brasilia Bosa ?in the town of Bosa, is part of the Formative Research of the University of Tolima and within this has into account the use of Participatory Action Research (PAR).
This proposal stems from the need to qualify the processes in the oral skills of students in third grade Cycle II, taking into account the difficulties that students have the time to express, reason, different lyrical readings were proposed such as: poetry, rhyme, string, fable, twisters as pedagogical and didactic strategy to improve oral processes graders chosen for the proposal made.
The research was routed from the premise How lyrical reading becomes a significant teaching tool to potentiate oral skills in students of the third grade of Brasilia Bosa?, College intending to stimulate emotions in students so achieve adequate oral competence given the fluidity, emotion , pronunciation and gestures , that children should acquire through educational activities that teachers make in the classroom.
