Generalized Coordinate Gauge, Nonabelian Stokes Theorem and Dual QCD Lagrangian

This paper is an extended version of hep-th/9802134. Dual QCD Lagrangian is derived by making use of the generalized coordinate gauge, where 1-form (vector potential) is expressed as an integral of the 2-form (field strength) along an (arbitrary) contour. Atomic and electronic structure of a-SiC

Molecular dynamics (MD) simulations based on an empirical potential approach have provided detailed information about chemical ordering and the structural short-range order in stoichiometric amorphous silicon carbide (a-SiC). Recursion band structure calculations based on amorphous geometries obtained from the MD simulations have enabled one to ascertain the mechanism of an influence of homopolar bonds, three-fold (T3) and five-fold (T5) coordinated defects, strongly disordered four-fold coordinated sites (T4) and atoms, which are first nearest neighbors of these defects influencing on the distribution of electronic states. We have found that electronic states at the middle of the gap can be associated with these kinds of defects with the exception of antisite defects (like-atom or homopolar bonding). It is the problem of chemical ordering in the stoichiometric amorphous silicon-carbon alloy that is the main subject of the present work. In contrast to crystalline SiC, in a-SiC, the resonance states at the valence band top associated to Si-Si homonuclear bonds split for the low symmetry amorphous surrounding, which gives rise to the additional split states at the band gap bottom. As a result, in the amorphous material, the decrease of chemical ordering is accompanied by narrowing the band gap. The suggested band model of a-SiC agrees rather well with the available experimental results on the electronic distribution in this alloy

Еколого-ценотичні умови місцезростань Adonis wolgensis Steven (Ranunculaceae Juss.) в Україні

Ecological and coenotical conditions of habitats of rare species of Ukrainian flora including in Red Data Book of Ukraine – Adonis wolgensis Steven (Ranunculaceae Juss.) are reported. Phytocoenotical analysis of plant communities with Adonis wolgensis in Ukraine are permit to choose three types of habitats – steppe communities Amygdaleta nanae, Cariceta humilis, Stipeta capillatae, Stipeta lessingianae, Stipeta pulcherrima, Poeta angustifoliae, shrubs communities Caraganeta frutexis, Cottinieta coggygriae, Lonicereta tataricae, Pruneta spinosae and forest communities Fraxineta excelsioris and Ulmeto (glabrae) – Acereta (platanoidis) in steppe zone. Ex situ protection of Adonis wolgensis by means of modeling populations in artificial steppe communities are proposed.Розглянуто еколого-ценотичні умови місцезростань рідкісного виду флори України, внесеного до Червоної книги України, – Adonis wolgensis Steven (Ranunculaceae Juss.). Фітоценотичний аналіз рослинних угруповань з участю Adonis wolgensis в Україні дав змогу виділити три типи місцезростань – степові угруповання Amygdaleta nanae, Cariceta humilis, Stipeta capillatae, Stipeta lessingianae, Stipeta pulcherrima, Poeta angustifoliae, кущові угруповання Caraganeta frutexis, Cottinieta coggygriae, Lonicereta tataricae, Pruneta spinosae та лісові угруповання Fraxineta excelsioris та Ulmeto (glabrae) – Acereta (platanoidis) степової зони. Запропоновано рекомендації з охорони Adonis wolgensis шляхом моделювання популяцій та штучних степових угруповань

Chiral symmetry breaking in confining theories and asymptotic limits of operator product expansion

On the pattern of Casimir scaling violation in gluodynamics

Results of lattice analysis indicate that the static potential in SU(3) gauge theory is proportional to eigenvalue of quadratic Casimir operator for the corresponding representation with a good accuracy. We discuss the mechanism of possible deviations from the Casimir scaling in gluodynamics in terms of correlators of path-ordered gauge-invariant operators defined on the worldsheet of the confining string.Comment: LaTeX, 12 pages, no figure

Histophysiology of submandibular salivary glands end pieces in rats with chronic ethanol intoxication

В роботі представлені дані морфометричного дослідження паренхіми піднижньощелепної слинної залози при хронічній інтоксикації етанолом. Встановлено, що хронічна інтоксикація етанолом впливає на морфофункціональний стан кінцевих відділів часточок піднижньощелепної залози щурів, що підтверджується зменшенням діаметру просвіту та збільшенням висоти епітеліоцитів до 15,44±0,41мкм на ранніх стадіях спостереження. Зменшенням діаметру зовнішнього та діаметру просвіту із зменшенням висоти епітеліоцитів на тридцяту добу експерименту. Що обумовлене дистрофічними змінами в клітинах кінцевих відділів піднижньощелепних залоз щурів на пізніх стадіях експерименту, та підтверджується зменшенням їх розмірів, кількості секреторних гранул та підвищенням оптичної щільності клітин. The paper presents the morphometric study of the submandibular salivary gland parenchyma in chronic intoxication with ethanol. It has been established, that chronic ethanol intoxication affects the morphofunctional state of the submandibular gland lobules’ end pieces in rats, which is confirmed by the lumen diameter reduction and the epithelial cells height growth up to 15.44 ± 0.41 µm at the early stages of observation. Reduction in the external diameter and the lumen diameter with the reduced epithelial cells height were observed on the thirtieth day of the experiment. This is due to dystrophic changes in the cells of the of the submandibular glands end pieces in rats at the later stages of the experiment, and is confirmed by reduction in their size, the number of secretory granules and the increased optical density of cells

Perturbative Contributions to Field Correlators in Gluodynamics

The cancellation of perturbative contributions to the string tension in gluodynamics in the framework of vacuum field correlators method is shown at the order $O(g^4)$ by explicit calculation. The general pattern of these cancellations at all orders and relation with the renormalization properties of the Wilson loop is discussed.Comment: LaTeX 13 pages, no figure
