The positive effect of the Shungite room, unified by green healing clay on the human energy was established. The free-radical reactions in the water spaces followed by photons release in the ultraviolet portion of the spectrum which corresponds to the Kirlian glow. The following criteria for water energy conditions evaluation were used: the width of a crown illumination, the clear tape drives presence in it; the coronal inner region characteristics (presence of blackouts, grain). Completed computer analysis based on the histogram of brightness of pixels used methodology flicker noise spectroscopy. According to it the identified natural water as well as the water from the holy sources parameters were compared with the same in distilled water.     Features of the macro and microscopic structure of the lungs of a mature rabbit – Oryctolagus cuniculus L. 1758

    The macro- and microscopic structure of the lungs of mature rabbits – Oryctolagus cuniculus L., 1758 – European rabbit was studied. This work was performed using comprehensive research methods: anatomical, organometric, histological and histometric. The research was carried out in the conditions of the laboratory of pathomorphology in the Department of Anatomy and Histology. The scientific work was performed on the subject of research work of the Department of Anatomy and Histology of Polissya National University on the theme: “Development, morphology and histochemistry of animal organs in normal and pathological”, according to the state registration number – № 0113V000900. The morphological studies followed the basic rules of Good Laboratory Practice GLP (1981), the provisions of the “General Ethical Principles of Animal Experiments”, adopted by the First National Congress of Bioethics (Kyiv, 2001) and the requirements for the “Rules for carrying out work with experimental animals”, approved by the order of the Ministry of Health № 281 of November 1, 2000 “On measures to further improve the organizational forms of work with the use of experimental animals”. The material for histomorphological studies were pieces of lungs selected from clinically healthy adult rabbits (n = 5). Slices were made from paraffin blocks on a sled microtome MS–2. The thickness of histological sections did not exceed 8–12 μm, which were then stained with hematoxylin and eosin and Van Gizon to study the morphofunctional activity of cells and tissues of the respiratory tract. Histometric studies of histological specimens were performed using a microscope “Micros” with a digital camera at a magnification of × 100–1000. Studies have shown that macroscopically the lungs of mature rabbits have a reflection of the shape of the thoracic cavity, and gradually expands ventrally. The right and left lungs are surrounded by pleural right and left sacs. The pleural cavities of both lungs in the test animals are not interconnected. Organometry showed that the absolute lung mass of rabbits is 18.05 ± 1.32 g, relative to 0.624 ± 0.013 %. The histoarchitectonics of the lungs is formed by the lung lobes. The respiratory department of the lungs is represented by a set of acinuses. The latter are represented by respiratory bronchioles, alveolar passages, alveolar sacs and alveoli that form the alveolar tree. The results of morphometric studies showed that the respiratory (respiratory) part of the lungs of rabbits occupies 39.6 ± 0.62 %, and the connective tissue base, respectively, 58.5 ± 1.27 %. The average volume of alveoli, which are divided into small, medium and large, is 42.3 ± 4.35 thousand μm3. Thus, studies of the macro- and microscopic structure of the lungs of experimental animals are of great general biological importance, as they are an important criterion for objective assessment for the differential diagnosis of diseases of various origins

    The budgeting mechanism in development companies

    Relevance of the researched problem is caused by the fact that today there is a requirement for a unique, generalized, theoretically and methodically elaborated budgeting mechanism disaggregating the aims of strategic level to the level of structural units of the company. The aim of article is to develop methodical provisions and practical recommendations to harmonize a budgeting mechanism of development companies on the basis of direct interrelation of current budgeting and strategic objectives of company development. The leading approach to a research of this problem is the classical approach allowing revealing sources and directions of financial resources application of commercial organizations and also ensuring their balance. The main results of a research are the expansion of a budgeting concept as a type of financial planning, the author’s technique of budgeting is suggested that is based on the indicators of assets turnover ratio, sales profitability and return on assets as the main characteristics of activity efficiency of a development company. Materials of the article can be useful in financial management enhancement and forming an effective budgeting mechanism in development companies. © 2016 Kovaleva et al

    ASSOCIATION OF CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS AND COMORBIDITIES WITH QUALITY-OF-LIFE MEASURES IN PATIENTS WITH GOUT

    Objective: to identify factors associated with low quality of life (QL) in patients with gout. Subjects and methods. The investigation enrolled 175 patients (153 men and 22 women) with a definite diagnosis of gout. Their mean age was 48.0±12.3 years; median disease duration – 5.7 [3.0; 12.3] years; the annual number of arthritis attacks – 3 [1; 5]; and the mean serum level of uric acid (UA) – 510±120 μmol/l. 31.4% of the patients received allopurinol; 40.5% had chronic arthritis; 36.5% – subcutaneous tophi, 23% – coronary heart disease (CHD); 76% – hypertension; 15.4% – type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM); 10.2% – chronic kidney disease (CKD) at a glomerular filtration rate of <60 ml/min; 56% – obesity; 5.1% – chronic heart failure (СHF); 9.1% – history of vascular catastrophes. Pearson’s and Spearman’s correlation analyses were made to reveal correlations between QL measures according to the EQ-5D and SF-36v1 questionnaires, HAQ functional status (FS), and the clinical characteristics of the disease, as well as comorbidities. Multiple regression analysis was used to identify factors worsening QL. Results and discussion. Negative correlations were found between SF-36 QL measures and age, disease duration, serum UA level, presence of chronic arthritis and tophi, use of allopurinol, diuretics, alcohol, as well as hypertension, CHD, obesity, vascular catastrophes, CKD, and CHF. The multiple regression analysis established a direct association between HAQ FS worsening and female gender, elderly age, number of inflamed joints and frequency of arthritis attacks; the coefficient of multiple determination (R2) was 0.41. EQ QL correlated inversely with age, number of inflamed joints, frequency of arthritis attacks, intake of diuretics and obesity (R2 = 0.33). The reduction in the SF-36 physical health component correlated with increases in age, number of inflamed joints, and frequency of arthritis attacks, presence of CKD (R2 = 0.3); a weak association was noted between worsening mental health component and female gender, increased number of inflamed joints, and vascular catastrophes (R2 = 0.1). Conclusion. Decreased QL in gout is independently associated with higher number of inflamed joints, frequency of arthritis attacks, elderly age, female gender, and comorbidities (CKD, obesity, vascular catastrophes)

    Peculiarities of gas-discharge luminescence of biological fluid from the achilles tendon in the late postmortem period

    The work was explored the kinetics of the changes in the components of the liquid from Achilles tendon, that occur in the tissue of the Achilles tendon as a result of processes of autolysis, within 2-3, 4-6, 7-9 and 10-20 days post-mortem period. The gas-discharge luminescence of biological fluid was studied on x-ray film. More than 50 droplets for each group were investigated. The histograms were analyzed the brightness of the amplitude peaks in the 7 sub-bands of each sample liquid. Median was determined of the obtained sample values and the difference between the medians of the number of pixels in the current sub-band brightness with of the previous.  The ratio of the differences of the subsequent diapason the previous was established, to assess the rate of change of luminescence intensity. The differences of GR-glow liquid of the Achilles tendon in the compared groups was revealed depending on the time of death. It was established that to use histograms to detect differences and peculiarities in the luminescence of biological objects, could have practical value for solving the question of the time of death. It is appropriate to further study of changes in the content of the various components of corpses' tissues in conjunction with the biophysical studies. This can provide valuable scientific and practical material for the needs of pathomorphology and forensic medicine

    The UV Effect on the Chemiresistive Response of ZnO Nanostructures to Isopropanol and Benzene at PPM Concentrations in Mixture with Dry and Wet Air

    Towards the development of low-power miniature gas detectors, there is a high interest in the research of light-activated metal oxide gas sensors capable to operate at room temperature (RT). Herein, we study ZnO nanostructures grown by the electrochemical deposition method over Si/SiO2_{2} substrates equipped by multiple Pt electrodes to serve as on-chip gas monitors and thoroughly estimate its chemiresistive performance upon exposing to two model VOCs, isopropanol and benzene, in a wide operating temperature range, from RT to 350 °C, and LED-powered UV illumination, 380 nm wavelength; the dry air and humid-enriched, 50 rel. %, air are employed as a background. We show that the UV activation allows one to get a distinctive chemiresistive signal of the ZnO sensor to isopropanol at RT regardless of the interfering presence of H2_{2}O vapors. On the contrary, the benzene vapors do not react with UV-illuminated ZnO at RT under dry air while the humidity’s appearance gives an opportunity to detect this gas. Still, both VOCs are well detected by the ZnO sensor under heating at a 200–350 °C range independently on additional UV exciting. We employ quantum chemical calculations to explain the differences between these two VOCs’ interactions with ZnO surface by a remarkable distinction of the binding energies characterizing single molecules, which is −0.44 eV in the case of isopropanol and −3.67 eV in the case of benzene. The full covering of a ZnO supercell by H2_{2}O molecules taken for the effect’s estimation shifts the binding energies to −0.50 eV and −0.72 eV, respectively. This theory insight supports the experimental observation that benzene could not react with ZnO surface at RT under employed LED UV without humidity’s presence, indifference to isopropanol

    A CLINICAL CASE OF SYNGAP1 GENE MUTATION IN A GIRL WITH EPILEPSY, MENTAL RETARDATION, AUTISM, AND MOTOR DISORDERS

    The introduction of the latest genetic techniques into practice could discover a basis for the comorbidity of genetic epilepsies and behavioral disturbances with cognitive impairments. Some chromosomal syndromes are characterized by a specific electroencephalogram (EEG) pattern, the type of seizures, and the variant of the course of epilepsy. This paper describes a case of synaptic RAS GTP-ase-activating protein 1 (SYNGAP1) gene mutation in a 9-year-old female patient with eyelid myoclonic epilepsy, atypical absences, and atypical autism with mental retardation. The patient’s parents visited a physician for epilepsy (myoclonic absences), markedly delayed psycho-speech development, and specific communication problems in the child. The characteristics of autistic behavior were manifested from birth; routine EEG recorded epileptiform activity at the age of 2 years; epileptic seizures appeared at 5 years. Valproic acid and levetiracetam in this patient exerted a good effect on seizures; however, a clinical and encephalographic remission was achieved by a combination of levetiracetam and ethosuximide. The clinical case including the neurological and psychic statuses, logopedic characteristics, the result of psychological testing, and video-EEG monitoring findings are analyzed in detail.The SYNGAP1 gene is located on chromosome 6p21.3. About 50 cases of SYNGAP1 syndrome are now known worldwide. After normal maternal pregnancy and delivery, the patients show delayed psychomotor development with pronounced regression at 1 to 3 years of age. At this age, there are diffuse polyspike discharges on the EEG or an onset of generalized epileptic seizures (atonic, myoclonic, eyelid myoclonic, and absence seizures), commonly photosensitivity and autoinduction, mental development stops, speech regresses, behavioral disorders that are typical of autism develop. Drug-resistant epilepsy is noted in approximately half of the described cases. There is a correlation between the severity of epilepsy and cognitive deficit
