    The quaternary mammals from Kozhamzhar locality (Pavlodar region, Kazakhstan)

    A new locality of fossil mammals near Kozhamzhar in Pavlodar Priirtysh Region has been described. The article provides the description of the quaternary sediments section found in the outcrop near Kozhamzhar. In the Karginian Age (MIS 3) alluvial deposits of the described locality we found the remains of Elasmotherium sibiricum, Mammuthus ex gr. trogontherii-chosaricus, Mammuthus primigenius, Bison sp. AMS Radiocarbon dating of the Elasmotherium skull gave a young age-26038±356 BP (UBA-30522). The skull of Elasmotherium sibiricum exceeds in size the skull of the mammals from Eastern Europe. The lower jaw of the elephant, considering the size and the morphology of the last dentition teeth, is very close to that of Mammuthus trogontherii chosaricus

    Антибактеріальна активність ліпофільних комплексів підмаренників по відношенню до мікроорганізмів родини Enterobacteriaceae

    A high level of antibiotic resistance of representatives of Escherichia, Proteus, Klebsiella, Shigella and Salmonella genus makes urgent and prospective the search of new substances that are active in relation to these microorganisms. For the first time the antibacterial activity of lipophilic complexes of biologically active substances (BAS) from bedstraw species of the Ukrainian flora in relation to 11 test strains of Enterobacteriaceae family has been found. The lipophilic complex of Galium cruciata herb (Cruciata laevipez) revealed the highest activity against the test cultures. Microorganisms of Escherichia, Klebsiella and Salmonella genus were highly sensitive (MIC was 31.25 μg/ml; MBC was 62.5 μg/ml), test strains of Proteus and Shigella showed a moderate sensitivity to this lipophilic complex (MIC – 125 μg/ml; MBC – 250 μg/ml). All the test strains revealed a low sensitivity to the lipophilic complexes of BAS from Galium verum and Galium salicifolium herbs. The range of microorganisms sensitivity can be an indirect argument for systematic transfer of cruciform bedstraw to Cruciata genus under the name of Cruciata laevipez. Впервые установлена антибактериальная активность липофильных комплексов биологически активных ве- ществ (БАВ) видов рода подмаренник флоры Украины по отношению к 11 тест-штаммам семейства Entero-bacteriaceae. Наибольшую активность в отношении исследуемых культур микроорганизмов проявил липофильный комплекс травы подмаренника крестообразного (круциаты гладенькой). Установлено, что микроорганизмы родов Escherichia, Klebsiella и Salmonella являются высокочувствительными, тест-штаммы Proteus и Shigella – среднечувствительными к липофильному комплексу травы подмаренника крестообразного. По отношению к липофильным комплексам БАВ травы подмаренника настоящего и подмаренника иволистного все исследуемые тест-штаммы были малочувствительны. Диапазон чувствительности микроорганизмов может служить непрямым аргументом системного отнесения подмаренника крестовидного к роду круциата под названием «Круциата гладенькая».Вперше встановлено антибактеріальну активність ліпофільних комплексів біологічно активних речовин (БАР) видів роду підмаренник флори України по відношенню до 11 тест-штамів родини Enterobacteriaceae. Найбільшу активність до досліджуваних культур мікроорганізмів проявив ліпофільний комплекс трави підмаренника хрещатого (круціати гладенької). Встановлено, що мікроорганізми родів Escherichia, Klebsiella та Salmonella є високочутливими, тест-штами Proteus та Shigella – середньочутливими до ліпофільного комплексу трави підмаренника хрещатого. По відношенню до ліпофільних комплексів БАР трави підмаренника справжнього та підмаренника верболистого усі досліджувані тест-штами були малочутливими. Діапазон чутливості мікроорганізмів може служити непрямим аргументом системного перенесення підмаренника хрещатого до роду Круціата під назвою «Круціата гладенька»

    Onomastic Space of Animated Films about Russian Heroes by the Studio of Animation Cinema “Mill”

    The article is devoted to the study of the system of proper names in the texts of animated films with a folklore precedent basis. The relevance of the research is due to the need to study media texts that translate folklore imagery in linguocognitive and linguostylistic aspects. The material for the research is character and voice-over texts of animated films about Russian heroes: “Alyosha Popovich i Tugarin Zmey” (2004), “Dobrynya Nikitich i The Zmey Gorynych” (2006), “Ilya Muromets I Solovey Razboynik” (2007). The complex of names of geographical objects, the naming system of anthropo- and zoomorphic characters is considered, the precedent base for the formation of the onomastic space of animated films is determined, and the ways of introducing new components to the proper names system of this content are characterized. Special attention is paid to the description of intertextual links of the polycode content under study with works of epic genres of Russian folklore and with other sources. The scientific novelty of the work is seen in the fact that the verbal component of the studied animated films is currently insufficiently studied, and their proper names system becomes the subject of linguistic analysis for the first time

    The article is devoted to the study of the verbal component of animated films with a folk precedent basis. The relevance of the research is due to the need to study the conceptosphere of modern media texts conveying folklore imagery. The results of a comparative analysis of female images in animated films about Russian heroes are presented (Alyosha Popovich and Tugarin Zmey (2004), Dobrynya Nikitich and Zmey Gorynych (2006), Ilya Muromets and Nightingale the Robber (2007) in comparison with their folk prototypes. The issues of speech representation of the images of the mother and the bride / wife of a hero, traditional for the epic genre, as well as other female images, the appearance of which is due to the influence of other precedent sources, are considered. The conceptual proximity of the narrative-story line basis and the composition of the characters of the texts under study to the Russian fairy tale is proved. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the stylistic technique of burlesque travesty, it is proved that this technique is the main means of creating a comic effect and performs a text-forming function in the studied polycode content. The scientific novelty of the work is seen in the fact that the verbal component of the animated films studied was not previously the subject of linguistic analysis

    Results of investigation of muon fluxes of superhigh energy cosmic rays with X-ray emulsion chambers

    The overall data from the investigation of the cosmic ray muon flux in the range of zenith angles (0-90) deg within the energy range (3.5 to 5.0) TeV is presented. The exposure of large X-ray emulsion chambers underground was 1200 tons. year. The data were processe using the method which was applied in the experiment Pamir and differred from the earlier applied one. The obtained value of a slope power index of the differential energy spectrum of the global muon flux is =3.7 that corresponds to the slope of the pion generation differential spectrum, gamma sub PI = 2.75 + or - .04. The analysis of the muon zenith-angular distribution showed that the contribution of rapid generation muons in the total muon flux agree the best with the value .2% and less with .7% at a 90% reliability level

    The modulating effect of coat color mutations on the generation and neutralization of reactive oxygen species in the Аmerican mink (Neovison vison) as a model

    The influence of gene mutations encoding coat color on parameters of reactive oxygen species (RO S) generation and neutralization in six organs of the mink (Neovison vison) was evaluated. The study was conducted with standard dark brown (+/+), monorecessive royal pastel (b/b) and silver-blue (р/р), and direcessive sapphire (a/a р/р) mutant minks. It was found that the functioning of both RO S generation and neutralization systems was genotypespecific. The direcessive sapphire (a/a р/р) combination induced high levels of antioxidant enzymes’ activities as well as of thiobarbituric acid-reactive products (TBА-RPs), characterizing lipid peroxidation level. In heart tissue, coat color mutations exerted modulating effects on both RO S generation and the level of low-molecular-weight antioxidants. The royal pastel (b/b) genotype showed the highest level of RO S generation, and the sapphire (a/a р/р), the lowest (statistically significant difference from standard). Coat color mutations modulate the dintensity of RO S generation and neutralization in lung tissue. On the one hand, royal pastel (b/b) in comparison with standard dark brown (+/+) decreases the total level of RO S generation, and on the other hand, it increases the level of generation of superoxide anion-radicals. Cluster analysis, presented in a combined dendrogram, showed that royal pastel (b/b) and sapphire (a/a р/р) minks, the farthest from standard (+/+), had the greatest modulating effects. It is reasonable to suggest that such effects contributed to the genetic plasticity of American mink in the course of colonization of North America and then during mink introduction in Northern Eurasia and South America

    The aim of the study – to analyze the epidemiological features of brucellosis, prevalence, morbidity of the population, clinical course, diagnostics in nowadays in Ukraine and other countries on the basis of actual li­terature data.Results. The research was carried out and the data on the morbidity of brucellosis of farm animals and humans in Ukraine and other countries were presented. The increase in the incidence of brucellosis in the population is due to the epizootic process in private farms as a consequence of the weakening of veterinary control. In Ukraine, for almost 25 years, brucellosis of farm animals is not recorded. Among individuals, isolated cases of brucellosis have been confirmed. The epidemiology of ailments has been changed under the influence of mo­dern socio-economic factors and migration processes, as well as the discovery of new species of brucellosis and their natural reservoirs. The formation of disease cells in areas previously free of brucellosis, as a result of transboundary infection.Мета дослідження: на підставі даних сучасної літератури проаналізувати епідеміологічні особливо­сті бруцельозу, поширеність, захворюваність населення, клінічний перебіг, діагностику в умовах сьогодення в Україні та інших країнах.Результати. Проведено дослідження та наведені дані про захворюваність на бруцельоз сільськогосподарських тварин і людей в Україні та інших країнах. Зростання захворюваності на бруцельоз населення пов’язано з епізоотичним процесом у приватних господарствах як наслідок послаблення ветеринарного контролю. В Україні майже 25 років не реєструється бруцельоз сільськогосподарських тварин. Серед людей підтверджені поодинокі завезені випадки бруцельозу. Змінилась епідеміологія недуги під впливом сучасних соціально-економічних чинників і міграційних процесів, а також відкриття нових видів бруцел та їх природних резервуарів. Відмічається формування осередків хвороби на територіях, раніше вільних від бруцельозу, внаслідок транскордонного занесення інфекції
