Tématem mé bakalářské práce je posouzení výsypného prostoru v návaznosti na nové ekologické limity na Dolech Bílina. V první z kapitol je stručné popsaná charakteristika společnosti a zájmového území, geologie, hydrogeologie a vznik ložiska na Dolech Bílina. V další kapitole je analýza výsypných prostorů, postupy a budoucnost těžby na Dolech Bílina. Poslední část mé bakalářské práce je technicko-ekonomické zhodnocení navrhovaného řešení, stavba a vrstvy vnitřní výsypky a zhodnocení.The topic of my bachelor's thesis is the assessment of the landfill in relation to the new ecological limits at the Bílina Mines. The first of the chapters briefly describes the characteristics of society and the area of interest, geology, hydrogeology and the origin of the deposit in the Bílina Mines. The next chapters are an analysis of landfills, procedures and the future of mining at the Bílina Mines. Příspěvek se dotýká připravených změn v definicích základních fyzikálních jednotkách. Změny se dotknou čtyř základních jednotek – kilogram, ampér, kelvin a mol. Jde o poměrně rozsáhlé předefinování, které využívá univerzálních konstant. Vedle představení úprav definic se bude příspěvek zamýšlet nad možnostmi, jak zavést definice jednotek do kurikula základních a středních škol a s tím souvisejícími obtížemi.The paper focuses on prepared changes in definitions of basic physical units. Changes will affect four basic units – kilogram, amperes, kelvin and moles. It is a relatively extensive redefinition that uses universal constants. In addition to introducing definitions, the paper will reflect on the possibilities of introducing unit definitions into primary and secondary school curricula and related difficulties

A new line-shape asymmetry model for wavelength modulation spectroscopy in gaseous flows

This communication reports technical notes on the development and application of an automated line-shape fitting procedure for wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS). Near-infrared transitions of carbon dioxide (CO2) around 1573 nm were measured in vertical cold (non-reacting) flow of CO2 at atmospheric pressure using WMS with demodulation at second harmonic frequency. Semi-empirical model based on the set of so-called Gabor functions was developed and parameters of Lorentzian line-shape profile and its asymmetry resulting from simultaneous frequency and amplitude response of the current-modulated semiconductor laser were determined. Nonlinear least-square fitting procedure employing differential evolution algorithm was successfully utilized for performing this task. Line-shape fitting procedure enabling efficient signal de-noising and background subtraction of wavelength modulation spectra was implemented into an open-source code.Web of Science18416115

Je důležitější z fyziky všechno vědět, nebo se na to umět správně zeptat?

Článek je zaměřen na využití „umělé inteligence“ (AI) ve výuce nejenom fyziky, ale přírodních věd. V současnosti (jaro 2023) se silně rozvijí použití AI, kterého se ptáme ve fázi testování na různé otázky a AI nám lépe či hůře odpovídá. Problém ale tkví v tom, že kvalita odpovědi závisí na kvalitě otázky. Obdobný problém jsme poprvé zažili, když se rozšířil Google anebo vyhledávače obecně, které jsou nyní naší každodenní pomůckou. I v tomto případě jsme se museli naučit správně pokládat otázky. Totéž nás čeká i nyní. Pro pedagogickou praxi je ale potřeba, aby žáci měli stále základní penzum vědomostí a dovedností tak, aby mohli správně vyhodnocovat předkládané informace. Totéž platí samozřejmě i pro dotazy učitelů. Velkým rizikem pak mohou být neúplné odpovědi AI neaprobovaným učitelům.The paper is focused on the use of "artificial intelligence" (AI) in teaching not only physics but also science. At present (spring 2023), the use of AI is strongly developed, and various questions are being asked. AI answers them for us better or worse. The problem is that the quality of the answer depends on the quality of the question. We first encountered a similar problem when Google and search engines became widespread. In this case, we had to learn to ask the right questions. The same thing awaits us now. However, for pedagogical practice, pupils/students still need to have the basic knowledge and skills to be able to correctly evaluate the information presented. The same applies, of course, to teachers' questions. A major risk can be incomplete (partially correct) AI answers to untrained teachers

Survey and preliminary assessment of a baroque vault for refurbishment planning

Designing the modification of buildings for a new use is a costly and time-consuming process, before which it is often necessary to conduct a preliminary assessment of the feasibility of the intended project. The article discusses the procedure for such a preliminary cost-effective assessment using the example of a historic building with vaulted ceilings. For older historical buildings, archival documents specifying their geometry, construction details and material characteristics are typically not available. For the preliminary design, it is possible to obtain information about the dimensions of the load-bearing elements non-destructively. However, the knowledge of the exact material properties of the masonry exceeds the possibilities of an inexpensive assessment, which must take advantage of the data available in the literature for similar structures. This article presents a methodology and an example of the measurement and assessment of the mechanical response of the Baroque vault to static loading. It shows the process of obtaining data on the geometric shape of the structure by means of geodetic surveying and geometric radar measurements of the thickness of vaults whose upper faces are not accessible. Two models are used to calculate the internal forces in the structure. The first planar model considers a simplified barrel vault strip according to the focused geometry with respect to geometric nonlinearity and without tension, the second model is a linear spatial model of the entire vault. The calculation was performed in ANSYS 17.2, the input parameters of the material are taken from the literature. The calculated stresses in the vault are compared with the values of the design strength of brick masonry, taking into account the characteristic compressive strength of the masonry based on published known data obtained during tests of similar historical materials. The results are then used to decide on the feasibility of the intention to adapt the building for a new use

The aim of the non-destructive survey was to determine the presence of building construction hidden under the contemporary floor. The survey confirmed the position of underground crypt and revealed no other structures

Mechanical and physical tests on lime mortars with metakaolin and their suitability for repair of protected historic monuments

Mechanical and physical tests on lime mortars with addition of metakaolin from new sources in the Czech Republic were carried out in the laboratories of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics AV CR during 2004 to 2006. The tests results were used for design of optimised calcining temperature of kaolin, proportion of gauging between lime and metakaolin, and evaluation of influence of addition of Portland cement. Discussion of the results includes suitability of metakaolin gauged lime mortars for repair of historic monuments

Comparison of commercial BI tools with Open Source tools

Cílem této práce je porovnání komerčních business intelligence nástrojů s nástroji Open Source v procesu implementace BI řešení ve střední firmě. V práci jsou porovnávány komerční aplikace Oracle (http://www.oracle.com) ? Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Discoverer a Open Source nástroje z projektu Pentaho (http://www.pentaho.com) ? Kettle, Cube Designer a BI Platforma. Hodnocení obou systémů probíhá na základě předem definovaných metrik. Práce kromě popisu realizace obou řešení a jejich vzájemného porovnání také dává odpověď na zcela zásadní otázku, zda může Open Source řešení konkurovat tomu komerčnímu. Dalším přínosem je návrh modifikovatelného a znovupoužitelného stromu metrik, který je k hodnocení systémů použit
