Manuscriptorium Digital Library and ENRICH Project: Means for Dealing with Digital Codicology and Palaeography

Codicology and palaeography in the digital age can be developed both through adapting existing methods and using information and communication technologies. This can be achieved e.g by projects focusing on the integration of individual resources under a single user interface. This is the aim of the Manuscriptorium digital library as well as the ENRICH project. The integration is based on the centralisation of metadata from various resources and on the distributed storage of data, mainly digital images. This is implemented through a distributed complex digital document, containing the so-called identification record and more data types. The construction of the integrated Manuscriptorium digital library within the ENRICH project is being done in four basic ways: automatically, or semi-automatically respectively manually, and those both online and offline. This has made it possible to amass more than 5,000 documents. For Manuscriptorium, a search is important, which allows information to be gathered through special fields and the differences in graphics to be harmonised. The aim of the ENRICH project is also the creation of tools for the compilation of virtual collections and documents. In its method of integrating resources, the Manuscriptorium endeavours to be an instrument of codicological and palaeographic research

Controlling of Robot Movements by On-Board Camera

Tato studentská práce pojednává o základním zpracování obrazu a jeho následném využití automatickými systémy, zejména pro využití při orientaci v prostoru a detekci překážek v robotice. Dále je v této práci navržena implementace základního rozpoznávání překážek a popis implementace pro konkrétní aplikaci na robotu Surveyor SRV-1.This student paper discusses the basic image processing and it's use in automatic systems, particularly for use in space orientation and obstacle detection for robots. Additionally, the work show  concept implementation of the basic obstacles recognition and description of actual implementation for specific application an the robot Surveyor SRV-1.

Current Induced Magnetization Dynamics in Nanostructures

Předkládaná dizertační práce pojednává o problematice pohybu doménových stěn (DS) vyvolaného spinově polarizovaným proudem v magnetických nanodrátech na bázi spinového ventilu NiFe/Cu/Co. Jedná se o tzv. efekt přenosu spinového momentu. Multivrstevnatý systém NiFe/Cu/Co, kde se doménová stěna pohybuje ve vrstvě NiFe, vykazuje velmi vysokou účinnost přenosu spinového momentu, což bylo v literatuře potvrzeno na základě magnetotransportních měření. Tato práce má za cíl pozorovat stav DS během jejich pohybu, pomocí fotoelektronové mikroskopie kombinované s kruhovým magnetickým dichroismem. Tato technika využívá synchrotronové záření, které svým časovým rozlišením umožňuje sledovat dynamickou odezvu magnetizace na elektrický proud. Podstatnou částí řešení byla optimizace růstu vrstev NiFe/Cu/Co kvůli snížení magnetické dipolární interakce mezi vrstvami. V práci je také řešen způsob přípravy nanodrátů litografickými metodami. Byly provedeny dva módy měření: i) kvazistatický, tj. pozorování DS před a po injekci proudu do nanodrátu a ii) dynamické měření, kde je DS sledována během působení proudového pulzu. S využitím kvazistatickém módu byla vypracována rozsáhlá statistika pohybu DS: i) byly naměřeny jejich vysoké rychlosti přesahující 600 m/s za působení průměrné proudové hustoty nutné k posuvu doménové stěny - 5x10^11 A/m^2; ii) DS jsou v systému NiFe/Cu/Co velmi silně zachycovány dipolární interakcí mezi NiFe a Co způsobenou nehomogenitou krystalové struktury ve vrstvě Co. V dynamickém módu bylo odhaleno, že působením Oerstedovského pole kolmého na nanodráty v rovině vzorku se magnetizace ve vrstvě NiFe silně natáčí. Tento efekt přispívá k vysokým rychlostem DS pozorovaných v nanodrátech NiFe/Cu/Co.This thesis deals with the study of current-induced magnetization dynamics and domain wall (DW) motion in NiFe/Cu/Co nanowires, induced by the so-called spin-transfer torque effect. Prior to this work, transport measurements had proven that in this trilayer system, DWs in NiFe can be moved with relatively low current densities, suggesting a particularly high spin-torque efficiency. The aim of this study has been to use photoemission electron microscopy combined with x-ray magnetic circular dichroism at synchrotron radiation sources to observe directly the magnetic configurations in the trilayers and their evolution during and after the application of nanosecond current pulses. An important step of the work has been to optimize the growth of the NiFe/Cu/Co layers, in the view of increasing interface quality and minimize interlayer coupling. The process of nanowire patterning by e-beam lithography has also been optimized. Two kinds of measurements have been carried out: i) quasi static measurements, where the domain configuration is observed before and after the application of current pulses and ii) dynamic measurements, where the magnetic configuration has been observed during the application of current pulses. The first measurements have allowed us to study the statistical behaviour of DWs under the application of current pulses: on one hand, the domain wall velocities reach extremely high values for relatively low current densities (up to 600 m/s for 5x10^11 A/m^2). On the other hand, DW motion over distances larger than 2-3 microns is strongly hindered by pinning. Time-resolved measurements during the current pulses, carried out for the first time by our team, have allowed us to demonstrate that the NiFe magnetization is strongly tilted in the direction transverse to the nanowire direction, due to the presence of a transverse Oersted field. This effect might contribute to the enhancement of DW velocities in the NiFe layers.

Competence profile of taekwondo coach

Název: Kompetenční profil trenéra taekwonda Cíle: Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je vytvořit kompetenční profil trenéra taekwonda z pohledu svěřenců taekwondo a porovnat důležitost jednotlivých kompetencí mezi dětmi-dospělými a závodníky- rekreačními taekwondisty. Metody: K vytvoření kompetenčního profilu trenéra taekwonda je v diplomové práci použita metoda kvantitativního výzkumu konkrétně formou elektronického dotazování svěřenců taekwondo a kvalitativního výzkumu pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s trenéry klubů taekwondo a prezidentem svazu taekwondo. Výsledky: Vytvořený kompetenční profil obsahuje celkem 20 nejdůležitějších kompetencí ze tří oblastí: charakteristika osobnosti (čestný, důvěryhodný, důsledný, empatický, přátelský, psychicky odolný, spravedlivý a zodpovědný), schopnosti a dovednosti (dochvilnost, komunikativnost, organizační schopnosti, řešení krizových situací, schopnost analyzovat chyby, schopnost motivovat, schopnost vysvětlit, schopnost vytvořit tréninkový plán a zpětná vazba) a vzdělání a znalosti (znalost pravidel taekwondo a znalost zdravovědy). Objective: The main objective of this thesis is to create a competency profile of a taekwondo coach from the view of taekwondo trustees and to compare the importance of each competences between the categories children and adults, competitors and recreational taekwondists. Methods: The method used to create a competency profile of a taekwondo coach in this thesis is a quantitative research, specifically in the form of an electronic inquiry of the trustees and then a qualitative research through half-structured interviews with taekwondo club coaches and the president of the taekwondo union. Results: The created competency profile includes a total of 20 most important competences from three main areas: personality characteristics (honest, trustworthy, consistent, empathetic, friendly, mentally resilient, fair and responsible), skills and abilities (punctuality, communicativeness, organizational skills, critical situation solving skills, the ability to analyze mistakes, the ability to motivate, the ability to explain, the ability to create a training plan and feedback) and education and knowledge (the knowledge of taekwondo rules and hygienics). V první části je popsán proces integrace Evropy, důležitost strukturální politiky Evropského společenství a funkce jednotlivých strukturálních fondů. Druhá část práce se zabývá konkrétními operačními programy, oblastmi podpor a cílovými skupinami intervencí. Poslední kapitola je věnována projektovým cyklům realizovaných projektů v rámci dvou různých operačních programů a následné komparaci těchto projektů.In my bachelor thesis I focus on the process of developing projects within the frame of operational programs during the 2007-2013 programming period and the possibilities of utilization the EU structural funds for specific supported spheres. The first part of the thesis describes the process of European integration, the importance of structural policy of the European Community and function of the structural funds. The second part deals with specific operational programs, spheres of support and intervention target groups. Tato studentská práce se zabývá návrhem čtyř-rotorového vznášedla (quadrotor) za účelem akademické platformy pro testování a další vývoj. Součástí práce je základní přehled možností konstrukce, stabilizace a ovládání quadrotorů. Výsledkem práce je koncept quadrotoru a jeho sestrojený prototyp, jehož součástí je i softwarová konzole pro jeho bezdrátové ovládání pod systémem Android.This student paper discusses basic concept of quadrocopter for purpose of academic platform for testing and development. Paper includes basic overview of construction, stabilization and controlling of quadrocopter. As result of this paper is presented concept of quadrocopter and its constructed prototype with included software console for wireless control under Android system.
