Implementasi Dan Analisa Per Connection Queue (Pcq) Sebagai Kontrol Penggunaan Internet Pada Laboratorium Komputer
This aims to implement control and manage internet bandwidth USAge in computer networks. Distribution of bandwidth evenly on all hosts (computers) connected to a computer network. Reducing excessive bandwidth USAge when using media downloader hosts like Internet Download Manager (IDM). This study uses an experimental research. In this research, experimentation and implementation of the performance of the method per connection queue with queue (PCQ). The results of further experiments are documented for analysis to produce appropriate recommendations for bandwidth management with per connection queue (PCQ) untun control the use of the Internet in the laboratory. From the results of this analysis will come to the conclusion about the benefits and functions in more detail than the method using the per connection queue queue (PCQ) in controlling the use of the Internet on a computer network in a computer lab. The results of this study indicate that that the bandwidth management with per connection queue (PCQ) to control internet USAge is very significant changes. By utilizing this method of data traffic internet USAge can be set according to the amount of bandwidth available on the network. In addition to control Internet USAge, this method is also useful to limit the traffic rate is downloaded when a client using a download manager like IDM. By applying this method, between one client and another client will not get excessive bandwidth, so the use of the internet will be more stable and controllable
Hadron collider limits on anomalous couplings
A next-to-leading log calculation of the reactions and
is presented including a tri-boson
gauge coupling from non-Standard Model contributions. Two approaches are made
for comparison. The first approach considers the tri-boson coupling
as being uniquely fixed by tree level unitarity at high energies to its
Standard Model form and, consequently, suppresses the non-Standard Model
contributions with form factors. The second approach is to ignore such
considerations and calculate the contributions to non-Standard Model tri-boson
gauge couplings without such suppressions. It is found that at Tevatron
energies, the two approaches do not differ much in quantitative results, while
at Large Hadron Collider (LHC) energies the two approaches give significantly
different predictions for production rates. At the Tevatron and LHC, however,
the sensitivity limits on the anomalous coupling of are too weak to
usefully constrain parameters in effective Lagrangian models.Comment: Revtex 23 pages + 8 figures, UIOWA-94-1
Terahertz magneto-optical spectroscopy of two-dimensional hole and electron systems
We have used terahertz (THz) magneto-optical spectroscopy to investigate the
cyclotron resonance in high mobility two-dimensional electron and hole systems.
Our experiments reveal long-lived (~20 ps) coherent oscillations in the
measured signal in the presence of a perpendicular magnetic field. The
cyclotron frequency extracted from the oscillations varies linearly with
magnetic field for a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG), as expected. However,
we find that the complex non-parabolic valence band structure in a
two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) causes the cyclotron frequency and effective
mass to vary nonlinearly with the magnetic field, as verified by multiband
Landau level calculations. This is the first time that THz magneto-optical
spectroscopy has been used to study 2DHG, and we expect that these results will
motivate further studies of these unique 2D nanosystems.Comment: 11 pages, 7 figure
Covid-19 patient management in outpatient setting: A population-based study from southern italy
Evidence on treatments for early-stage COVID-19 in outpatient setting is sparse. We explored the pattern of use of drugs prescribed for COVID-19 outpatientsâ management in Southern Italy in the period February 2020âJanuary 2021. This population-based cohort study was conducted using COVID-19 surveillance registry from Caserta Local Health Unit, which was linked to claims databases from the same catchment area. The date of SARS-CoV-2 infection diagnosis was the index date (ID). We evaluated demographic and clinical characteristics of the study drug users and the pattern of use of drugs prescribed for outpatient COVID-19 management. Overall, 40,030 patients were included in the analyses, with a median (IQR) age of 44 (27â58) years. More than half of the included patients were asymptomatic at the ID. Overall, during the study period, 720 (1.8%) patients died due to COVID-19. Azithromycin and glucocorticoids were the most frequently prescribed drugs, while oxygen was the less frequently prescribed therapy. The cumulative rate of recovery from COVID-19 was 84.2% at 30 days from ID and it was lower among older patients. In this study we documented that the drug prescribing patterns for COVID-19 treatment in an outpatient setting from Southern Italy was not supported from current evidence on beneficial therapies for early treatment of COVID-19, thus highlighting the need to implement strategies for improving appropriate drug prescribing in general practice
Neutrino Detection with Inclined Air Showers
The possibilities of detecting high energy neutrinos through inclined showers
produced in the atmosphere are addressed with an emphasis on the detection of
air showers by arrays of particle detectors. Rates of inclined showers produced
by both down-going neutrino interactions and by up-coming decays from
earth-skimming neutrinos as a function of shower energy are calculated with
analytical methods using two sample neutrino fluxes with different spectral
indices. The relative contributions from different flavors and charged, neutral
current and resonant interactions are compared for down-going neutrinos
interacting in the atmosphere. No detailed description of detectors is
attempted but rough energy thresholds are implemented to establish the ranges
of energies which are more suitable for neutrino detection through inclined
showers. Down-going and up-coming rates are compared.Comment: Submitted to New Journal of Physic
Major flaws in conflict prevention policies towards Africa : the conceptual deficits of international actorsâ approaches and how to overcome them
Current thinking on African conflicts suffers from misinterpretations oversimplification, lack of focus, lack of conceptual clarity, state-centrism and lack of vision). The paper analyses a variety of the dominant explanations of major international actors and donors, showing how these frequently do not distinguish with sufficient clarity between the âroot causesâ of a conflict, its aggravating factors and its triggers. Specifically, a correct assessment of conflict prolonging (or sustaining) factors is of vital importance in Africaâs lingering confrontations. Broader approaches (e.g. âstructural stabilityâ) offer a better analytical framework than familiar one-dimensional explanations. Moreover, for explaining and dealing with violent conflicts a shift of attention from the nation-state towards the local and sub-regional level is needed.
The gravitino coupling to broken gauge theories applied to the MSSM
We consider gravitino couplings in theories with broken gauge symmetries. In
particular, we compute the single gravitino production cross section in W+ W-
fusion processes. Despite recent claims to the contrary, we show that this
process is always subdominant to gluon fusion processes in the high energy
limit. The full calculation is performed numerically; however, we give analytic
expressions for the cross section in the supersymmetric and electroweak limits.
We also confirm these results with the use of the effective theory of goldstino
interactions.Comment: 26 pages, 4 figure
Immunogenecity of Modified Alkane Polymers Is Mediated through TLR1/2 Activation
Background: With the advancement of biomedical technology, artificial materials have been developed to replace diseased, damaged or nonfunctional body parts. Among such materials, ultra high molecular weight alkane or modified alkyl polymers have been extensively used in heart valves, stents, pacemakers, ear implants, as well as total joint replacement devices. Although much research has been undertaken to design the most non-reactive biologically inert polyethylene derivatives, strong inflammatory responses followed by rejection and failure of the implant have been noted. Methodology/Principal Findings: Purification of the alkane polymers from the site of inflammation revealed extensive ââin vivoâ â oxidation as detected by fourier transformed infra-red spectroscopy. Herein, we report the novel observation that oxidized alkane polymers induced activation of TLR1/2 pathway as determined by ligand dependent changes in intrinsic tyrosine fluorescence intensity and NF-kB luciferase gene assays. Oxidized polymers were very effective in activating dendritic cells and inducing secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Molecular docking of the oxidized alkanes designated ligand specificity and polymeric conformations fitting into the TLR1/2 binding grooves
Production properties of K*(892) vector mesons and their spin alignment as measured in the NOMAD experiment
First measurements of K*(892) mesons production properties and their spin
alignment in nu_mu charged current (CC) and neutral current (NC) interactions
are presented. The analysis of the full data sample of the NOMAD experiment is
performed in different kinematic regions. For K*+ and K*- mesons produced in
nu_mu CC interactions and decaying into K0 pi+/- we have found the following
yields per event: (2.6 +/- 0.2 (stat.) +/- 0.2 (syst.))% and (1.6 +/- 0.1
(stat.) +/- 0.1 (syst.))% respectively, while for the K*+ and K*- mesons
produced in nu NC interactions the corresponding yields per event are: (2.5 +/-
0.3 (stat.) +/- 0.3 (syst.))% and (1.0 +/- 0.3 (stat.) +/- 0.2 (syst.))%. The
results obtained for the rho00 parameter, 0.40 +/- 0.06 (stat) +/- 0.03 (syst)
and 0.28 +/- 0.07 (stat) +/- 0.03 (syst) for K*+ and K*- produced in nu_mu CC
interactions, are compared to theoretical predictions tuned on LEP measurements
in e+e- annihilation at the Z0 pole. For K*+ mesons produced in nu NC
interactions the measured rho00 parameter is 0.66 +/- 0.10 (stat) +/- 0.05
(syst).Comment: 20 p
