Saint Jérôme et Jonas à l’époque romane : de l’influence d’un Père de l’Église sur les textes et les images des xie et xiie siècles

Le commentaire du livre de Jonas par saint Jérôme a influencé de nombreux écrits, dont la Glose ordinaire. Afin de voir dans quelle mesure ce texte du ive siècle a marqué l'iconographie du petit prophète, cet article mène une enquête sur les sources formelles et textuelles de ses représentations figurées. Les épisodes de l'histoire du prophète les plus courants, Jonas jeté dans la gueule du poisson, en sortant, et devant Ninive, sont étudiés successivement. Pour saint Jérôme, Jonas est une figure du Christ, en particulier dans sa mort et sa résurrection. À sa suite, la Glose et d’autres textes insistent sur cette même idée, qui est traduite en image par l’épisode avec le poisson, où Jonas apparaît souvent nu et chauve. Une autre idée est également importante dans la pensée de saint Jérôme, celle de la conversion de Ninive : certaines représentations sont centrées sur la pénitence de la ville elle-même, d’autres s’attachent aux conséquences de cette transformation pour Jonas, alors montré sous la plante. L’influence de saint Jérôme, directe ou non, est incontestable dans le choix des motifs, mais elle est plus difficile à voir dans le traitement graphique et la signification des éléments iconographiques.The commentary of the Book of Jonah by Saint Jerome has influenced a lot of writings, including the Glossa ordinaria. In order to understand how this text from the 4th century has modified the iconography of the minor prophet, this paper studies both the formal and textual sources of his figurative representations. The most common episodes of the story are successively analysed: Jonah thrown into the mouth of the fish, leaving the animal, and before Nineveh. For Saint Jerome, Jonah is a figure of Christ, especially in his death and resurrection. The Glossa ordinaria and other texts insist on the same idea, as the images showing the episode with the fish, where Jonah often appears naked and bald. The conversion of Nineveh is also very important for Saint Jerome: some representations focus on the penance of the city itself, others on the consequences of this transformation for Jonah, who is depicted under the plant. If the influence of Saint Jerome, direct or not, cannot be denied for the choice of the subjects, it is more difficult to detect it in the graphic treatment and meaning of iconographic elements

3-D Magnetotelluric Investigations for geothermal exploration in Martinique (Lesser Antilles). Characteristic Deep Resistivity Structures, and Shallow Resistivity Distribution Matching Heliborne TEM Results

Within the framework of a global French program oriented towards the development of renewable energies, Martinique Island (Lesser Antilles, France) has been extensively investigated (from 2012 to 2013) through an integrated multi-methods approach, with the aim to define precisely the potential geothermal ressources, previously highlighted (Sanjuan et al., 2003). Amongst the common investigation methods deployed, we carried out three magnetotelluric (MT) surveys located above three of the most promising geothermal fields of Martinique, namely the Anses d'Arlet, the Montagne Pel{\'e}e and the Pitons du Carbet prospects. A total of about 100 MT stations were acquired showing single or multi-dimensional behaviors and static shift effects. After processing data with remote reference, 3-D MT inversions of the four complex elements of MT impedance tensor without pre-static-shift correction, have been performed for each sector, providing three 3-D resistivity models down to about 12 to 30 km depth. The sea coast effect has been taken into account in the 3-D inversion through generation of a 3-D resistivity model including the bathymetry around Martinique from the coast up to a distance of 200 km. The forward response of the model is used to calculate coast effect coefficients that are applied to the calculated MT response during the 3-D inversion process for comparison with the observed data. 3-D resistivity models of each sector, which are inherited from different geological history, show 3-D resistivity distribution and specificities related to its volcanological history. In particular, the geothermal field related to the Montagne Pel{\'e}e strato-volcano, is characterized by a quasi ubiquitous conductive layer and quite monotonic typical resistivity distribution making interpretation difficult in terms of geothermal targets. At the opposite, the resistivity distribution of Anse d'Arlet area is radically different and geothermal target is thought to be connected to a not so deep resistive intrusion elongated along a main structural axis. Beside these interesting deep structures, we demonstrate, after analyzing the results of the recent heliborne TEM survey covering the whole Martinique, that surface resistivity distribution obtained from 3-D inversion reproduce faithfully the resistivity distribution observed by TEM. In spite of a very different sampling scale, this comparison illustrates the ability of 3-D MT inversion to take into account and reproduce static shift effects in the sub-surface resistivity distribution.Comment: Wordl Geothermal Congress 2015, Apr 2015, Melbourne, Australi

CIRDO: Smart companion for helping elderly to live at home for longer

In particular, extending "e-lio" (http://www.technosens.fr/) device, Cirdo aims to develop an audio/video-based system which makes it possible for elderly to live with a sufficient degree of autonomy. To achieve this goal, generic purposes on video analysis and audio processing are discussed and implemented in the same process. Audio and video analysis algorithms are launched simultaneously and thinks to GPU implementation, the tasks are done in real time. To comply with the requirements set out in the Cirdo project namely: respect privacy and preserve personal data, the processing tasks is performed through background tasks, without any human intrusion. In order to have different types of fall for our experiences, multiple scenarios were designed and performed by several persons. Besides the technical aspect, the project also focuses on generic technology validation by potential users and their human environment (family, caregivers/care takers...). Psychological and ergonomic assessment on the use of services developed was conducted. It focused on the usefulness, usability and accessibility and acceptance of the tool. Determination of the limits of the sequential feeding system in laying hens

L’alimentation séquentielle (AS) consiste à distribuer de manière cyclique deux aliments différents dont la combinaison permet des apports nutritionnels adaptés. L’objectif de la thèse était d’évaluer la robustesse et les limites de ce système. Trois expérimentations ont étéréalisées. Les questions portaient sur la variation de la composition en matières premières des régimes, la capacité d’adaptation des poules à des situations de déséquilibre alimentaire et de stress thermique et enfin la modulation au cours de la journée des apports en énergie et en protéines. Un travail de méta-analyse apportait des réponses sur la régulation de l’ingestion chez les poules pondeuses ainsi que sur l’impact de la nature des ingérés sur les performances de ponte et de croissance. Les expérimentations (Ex.1, 2, 3) ont permis de mettre en évidence la possibilité de distribuer d’autres céréales (blé et/ou maïs broyé, fibres insolubles) à la place du blé entier distribué dans la fraction du matin. L’ingestion totale inférieure par rapport à une alimentation continue (Ex. 1 et 2) et un niveau de production équivalent permettent d’améliorer l’IC des poules en AS par rapport à des poules alimentée de façon classique. Les poules semblent capables de réguler leur ingestion sur le niveau d’énergie de l’aliment mais pas sur son niveau de protéines dans les conditions étudiées (méta-analyse, Ex. 2). Cependant, les apports en énergie doivent se concentrer dans la fraction du matin afin d’obtenir les meilleures performances en AS tandis que les apports protéiques doivent soit être concentrés dans la fraction de l’après midi soit continus au cours de la journée (Ex. 3). Ces connaissances sur l’AS doivent encore être complétées afin de pouvoir utiliser ce système d’alimentation en élevage néanmoins l’AS est prometteur en terme d’économies de ressources.Sequential feeding (SF) consists in splitting the nutrients into two different diets. The goal of this thesis was to explore the limits of this feeding system. Three experiments were performed. The major questions go on utilization of other feedstuffs, capacity of hens to adapt their feed intake on unbalanced diet and hot temperatures and responses to modulation of energy and protein supplies. A meta-analysis gave responses on the regulation of feed intake and the impact on nutrient intake on laying and growth performances in laying hens. Experiments (Ex.1, 2, 3) shown off the possibility to substitute whole wheat with other cereals or feedstuffs (ground wheat and/or corn, insoluble fiber) in the morning fraction. Lower total feed intake in SF compared to continuous feeding (Ex. 1 et 2) and same laying performances improved the FCR. Laying hens were able to fit their feed intake on energy in the diet but not on protein content (meta-analysis, Ex. 2). Nevertheless, energy supplies had to be given in the morning fraction while protein could be given concentrate in the afternoon or throughout the day (Ex. 3). Knowledge on SF has to be completed in order to use this feeding system in commercial conditions. SF can help sparing resources and improve the on farm economical efficiency
