    The Bomb's Womb?

    No full text
The article is focused on Hibakusha ("atom-bombed persons"), radiated persons - women - who suffer decades after the drop of the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is an exploration in the relationships between women and the bomb. The question of gender plays an important role. The essay is composed of interviews, analyses and narratives. It is a description of the tragical faith of those women whose body as been changed into "shrunken, worn-eaten apple" in a long-life tragedy. They are also described cultural heroines, making the other into the center. Hibakusha women's movements unfortunately tend to endorse a basic framework which places them in home and family, away from the outside world of politics and history
