Ovaj diplomski rad smješten je u 20. stoljeće, a priča o pristupima teoriji mode sa psihoanalitičkim postavom. Tako saznajemo više o nesvjesnom ljudskom umu te njegovoj zajedničkoj ulozi s modom u ljudskoj seksualnosti, fetišizmu i problemu roda. U radu također saznajemo o poveznici psihoanalize sa umjetničkim pokretom nadrealizmom, te zašto je on važan u promjeni koncepta mode od površne discipline do umjetnosti. Moda kao takva u suvremeno doba intermedijalnosti predstavlja važan element čitanja nadrealističkog filma te je zato rad zaokružen pričom o Davidu Lynchu, filmskom redatelju kojeg nazivamo suvremenim nadrealistom, te psihoanalitičkom analizom njegova filma „Blue Velvet“ i odjeće u njemu.This graduate thesis is placed in the 20th century, and tells the story of approaches to the theory of fashion with a psychoanalytic setting. That way we learn more about the unconscious human mind and his common role with fashion in human sexuality, fetishism and the gender problem. In the thesis, we also learn about the link between psychoanalysis and the artistic movement of surrealism, and why is it important in changing the perception of fashion from superficial discipline to art. Fashion as such in the contemporary era of intermediality is an important element of reading the surrealistic film, and is why the work is rounded off by the story of David Lynch, a film director we like to call the modern surrealist, and the psychoanalytical analysis of his "Blue Velvet" film and clothes in it

The impact of perceived co-creation activities on brand image and purchase intention : study based on generation Z: videogames

Nowadays, companies struggle to persist on the market due to high competition levels. To achieve competitive advantage companies are trying to pursue a strong brand image since positive brand image comes with many benefits for the companies and positively impacts consumers’ behavioral intentions. Collaborating and co-creating with customers in the new development processes has been acknowledged as valuable strategy to understand the needs and desires of consumers. Thus, companies that co-create are being perceived as more customer oriented, more understanding of consumers’ needs and desires by observing consumers. However, little is known how co-creation impacts brand image. This thesis aims to understand how perceived co-creation activities affect brand image and consequently, purchase intention among non-participating consumers. The analysis was conducted using the method of structural modeling of partial smallest squares equations (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling, PLS SEM). Results show that perceived co-creation activities have positive impact on brand image while brand image acts as a mediator for purchase intention.Atualmente, as empresas lutam para persistir no mercado devido aos altos níveis de concorrência. Para alcançar vantagem competitiva, as empresas estão tentando buscar uma imagem de marca forte, uma vez que uma imagem de marca positiva traz muitos benefícios para as empresas e impacta positivamente as intenções comportamentais dos consumidores. Colaborar e cocriar com os clientes nos novos processos de desenvolvimento tem sido reconhecido como uma estratégia valiosa para entender as necessidades e desejos dos consumidores. Assim, as empresas que cocriam estão sendo percebidas como mais orientadas para o cliente, mais compreensivas das necessidades e desejos, pelos consumidores observadores. No entanto, pouco se sabe como a cocriação impacta a imagem da marca. Esta tese tem como objetivo compreender como as atividades de cocriação percebidas afetam a imagem da marca e, consequentemente, a intenção de compra entre os consumidores não participantes. A análise foi realizada utilizando o método de modelagem estrutural de equações de mínimos quadrados parciais (Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling, PLS-SEM). Case report, psychotherapeutic procedure with a breast cancer patient

The aim of this case report is to emphasize the importance of psychotherapeutic procedure in treatment of cancer patients. This patient sought psychotherapeutic help for headache. Two months later her husband suffered a heart attack and joined a family therapy. After six months, the patient was diagnosed with malignant breast cancer. The oncologist prescribed only chemotherapy. However, at the same time, the patient started individual psychotherapy. Hypnotic trance as well as problem visualization was used during psychotherapy.Cilj ovog izvješća o slučaju je naglasiti važnost psihoterapijskog postupka u liječenju bolesnika s karcinomom. Ova je pacijentica potražila psihoterapijsku pomoć zbog glavobolja. Dva mjeseca kasnije, njezin suprug je pretrpio srčani udar i uključio se u obiteljsku terapiju. Nakon šest mjeseci, pacijentici je dijagnosticiran maligni karcinom dojke. Onkolog je propisao samo kemoterapiju. Međutim, pacijentica je istodobno započela individualnu psihoterapiju. Tijekom psihoterapije, koristi se hipnoterapija te hipnotički trans kao i metoda vizualizacije problema

COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy: Examining the Relationship between Perceptions of COVID-19 Vaccine Safety and Intention to Receive it among African Americans in Mississippi

In March of 2020, the World Health Organization declared a global pandemic due to the ongoing spread of SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19 disease. While scientific developers were seeking to understand the biochemical mechanism of SARS-CoV-2, political and public health leaders implemented non-pharmaceutical interventions, such as social distancing measures, to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. As the world began to adjust to the new realities, the race to create an effective vaccine was on. With the later development of the COVID-19 vaccine, receptiveness to the vaccine across the world varied, and in the United States, vaccine hesitancy was an apparent phenomenon, especially in Mississippi. This study sought to explore the relationship between the perceptions of COVID-19 vaccine safety and vaccine uptake intention among African American adults in Mississippi. Participants were recruited via social media, email, social networks, and community-based organizations to participate in an online survey. Eligible participants for this study were African American, Mississippi residents over the age of 18 years old. Pearson correlation analyses revealed age, education level, income levels, and knowing a family member who experienced an adverse reaction were associated with vaccine hesitancy. Linear regression results showed perceptions of vaccine safety for self/community, not vaccine safety perceptions, were a significant predictor of vaccine hesitancy, after controlling for several variables. Limitations of this study include limited generalizability. Future studies on vaccine hesitancy in African Americans should examine vaccine hesitancy while accounting for any historical or current events such as the Tuskegee experiment that may have led to medical mistrust. Experience with Hysterical Paralysis of the Legs in Abstaining Alcoholic

A 39-year-old patient, a tailor, married with two children, who had abstained from alcohol for some time, was brought to neurological clinic with paralysis of legs. Paralysis had set in during a phone conversation. He lived about 30 miles from the hospital and his colleagues carried him from work to the car and then to the neurological clinic. A neurologist sent the patient from her clinic for psychotherapeutic intervention. The intervention, in a spontaneous hypnotic trance lasted for a few minutes and was successful. The patient could walk again and has not relapsed since nor had a paralysis of legs anymore, but he has occasionally felt a pressure in his chest. He was abstinent for 20 years. Alcoholics who continue abstinence, even for years, often experience difficulties that they do not know how to deal with, so they react in different ways. Psychotherapeutic treatment in abstinence can affect the quality of life. Experts in the field of alcoholism should assess the situation and include the abstaining patients in better programs that will contribute to a better quality of life
