Modeling neuropsychiatric phenotypes in mice in the frame of translational neuroscience

Neuropsychiatric disorders, such as autism spectrum disorders (ASD), schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, major depression and substance use disorders are highly prevalent and contribute to disease burden worldwide. Accumulating evidence consistently suggest neuropsychiatric conditions as results of complex interactions between multiple genetic factors and environmental factors. However, despite large research efforts, the exact neurobiological mechanisms of neuropsychiatric disorders remain largely unknown. The present cumulative thesis has been prepared on the basis of a translational neuroscience approach based on schizophrenic patients of the GRAS (Göttingen Research Association for Schizophrenia) data collection (Ribbe, Friedrichs et al. 2010): translating the findings from basic research using animal models back to human, and vice versa to reveal the relevance of behavioral characterization of genetic mouse models of complex human behavioral disorders, such as psychiatric diseases. Using behavioral genetics to characterize mouse models of complex human behavioral disorders, the role of MECP2 and BAIAP3 genotypes and their common variants in modulating behavioral phenotypes was identified. Within the first paper, BAIAP3/Baiap3 was identified as a genetic factor that modulates anxiety and the response to benzodiazepines in mouse and man (Wojcik, Tantra, Stepniak et al. 2013). The second paper focuses on an elevated seizure propensity as the phenotypical consequences of mildly overexpressing the transcriptional regulator Mecp2 at ~1.5fold wild-type level (Bodda, Tantra et al. 2013). The third publication expanding the results published in the second paper, reveals that subtle alterations in the expression level of Mecp2/MECP2 influence social, particularly aggressive behavior (Tantra, Hammer, Kästner et al. submitted). Overall, this thesis shows the practical implications of behavioral studies of transgenic mice with an elaborate behavioral repertoire that can be used to model phenotypes of complex human behavioral disorders. Behavioral characterizations of these mice gave aid to identify behavioral domains targeted by the genetic variations of the genes of interest, revealing the probable functional role of the genes within the frame of complex human behavioral disorders. The validity of the genetic mouse models described here was further increased by addressing the relevance of the findings in a schizophrenic (GRAS) population

IMPLIKASI PENGGUNAAN MEDIA AUDIO DIGITAL TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN GAMELAN DEGUNG I DI DEPARTEMEN PENDIDIKAN SENI MUSIK FPSD UPI

Skripsi yang berjudul Implikasi Penggunaan Media Audio Digital Terhadap Pembelajaran Gamelan Degung I di Departemen Pendidikan Musik FPSD UPI bertujuan untuk melakukan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang berbasis teknologi. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode Pre-experimental desigent dengan perlakuan one shot case study melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, yakni dengan pendekatan induktif dibantu dengan metode-metode pembelajaran. Temuan hasil penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa pengembangan desain konsep yang peneliti buat dan desain kosnep konvensional memiliki perbedaan yakni dalam segi media dan metode yang digunakan, pada kosnep pengembangan komponen media terdiri dari media audio digital, media imitasi karton, dan media cetak.. Eksperimentasi sesuai dengan prosedur yaitu dilaksanakan secara bertahap melalui langkah pembelajaran yang sistemik. Adapun pengaruh dari implikasi penggunaan media audio digital dalam pembelajaran gamelan degung I di Departemen Pendidikan Musik Fakultas Seni dan Desain Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dapat meberikan dampak positif pada pembelajaranya yakni menjadikan proses pembelajaran gamelan degung I yang efektif dan efisien.----------This thesis entitled "The Implications of Using Digital Audio Media towards Learning Gamelan Degung I in the Department of Music Education, Faculty of Art and Design Education, UPI" aims to develop technology-based learning media. The method used by researcher was pre-experimental design with one shot case study treatment through a quantitative approach that is the inductive approach assisted with teaching methods. The findings of this study proved that the development of concept design made by researcher has differences with conventional design in terms of the media and the method used, the concept of developing a media component consist of digital audio media, cardboard imitation media and printed media. Experimentation that compatible with the procedure is implemented gradually through systematical learning steps. There was also the implication of using digital audio media in learning gamelan degung I in the Department of Music Education Faculty of Arts and Design Education, Indonesia University of Education i.e. can give a positive impact in learning this material that is learning gamelan degung I effectively and efficiently

The Application of Good Corporate Governance to Online Businesses Based on The Consumer's Point of View

The purpose of this study is to describe consumer perceptions of the application of Good Corporate Governance in business online. Consumer perceptions obtained from experiences that have been carried out in shopping online because of the shopping system online that cannot meet the seller directly and cannot see the items to be purchased directly so that confidence is needed to ensure consumers buy goods online. Respondents in this study are consumers who generally have done shopping online. Sampling in this study was random. The data analysis used descriptive statistical analysis and frequency distribution analysis. The results showed that the respondents on average gave answers that the application of the principles of Good Corporate Governance with five dimensions transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness has been implemented by the business system online properly

Hubungan Antara Intensitas Konsumsi Berita Online Dan Tingkat Pendidikan Terhadap Loyalitas Pembaca Surat Kabar Cetak Suara Merdeka

ABSTRAKSI Tantra W Wardhana D2C 308017 Judul: Hubungan Antara Intensitas Konsumsi Berita Online Dan Tingkat Pendidikan Terhadap Loyalitas Pembaca Surat Kabar Cetak Suara Merdeka Masuknya era internet membuat perubahan pada pola konsumsi media, perubahan yang dimaksud adalah semakin cepatnya pengiriman berita yang tidak mengenal batas. Sebaliknya, perkembangan media cetak mengalami penurunan, penyebabnya adalah beralihnya pola konsumsi konsumen dari memakai media cetak ke media internet sebagai sarana mendapatkan berita maupun informasi yang lebih aktual. Beragamnya tingkat pendidikan masyarakat secara tidak langsung akan berpengaruh pada pemilihan kualitas informasi dan pemilihan jenis media yang tepat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan informasi. Suara Merdeka sebagai pelopor surat kabar di kota Semarang terus beradaptasi dengan perkembangan teknologi untuk tetap bertahan dalam persaingan antar media. Faktor apakah yang membuat Suara Merdeka tetap eksis? Loyalitas dari pembacakah? Apakah dengan banyaknya kemunculan situs berita online mempengaruhi loyalitas pembaca Suara Merdeka? Kemudian, bagaimanakah dengan tingkat pendidikan, apakah turut mempengaruhi loyalitas pembaca Suara Merdeka? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas konsumsi berita online terhadap loyalitas pembaca surat kabar cetak Suara Merdeka dan mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan terhadap loyalitas pembaca surat kabar cetak Suara Merdeka. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe explanatory dengan pendekatan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Sedangkan teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode probability sampling yang mengambil 100 responden. Uji hipotesis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode statistik Korelasi Rank Kendall’s Tau (τ). Teknik ini digunakan untuk mencari koefisien korelasi antara data ordinal dan data ordinal lainnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang rendah antara intensitas konsumsi berita online terhadap loyalitas pembaca surat kabar cetak Suara Merdeka dan tidak terdapat korelasi antara tingkat pendidikan terhadap loyalitas pembaca surat kabar cetak Suara Merdeka. Loyalitas sebagian besar pembaca Suara Merdeka tidak terpengaruh dengan tingginya tingkat intensitas konsumsi berita online maupun tingginya tingkat pendidikan pembaca. Ada pun loyalitas yang tinggi dari pembaca disebabkan oleh adanya rasa percaya terhadap merek (aspek kognitif), komitmen terhadap merek (aspek afektif), cenderung menggunakan merek yang sama dimasa yang akan datang (aspek konatif), serta pembelian ulang/berlangganan terhadap merek dan merekomendasikan merek kepada pihak lain (aspek perilaku). In contrast, the development of print media decline, the cause is a shift of consumption patterns of consumers of print media to the media using the internet as a means of getting news and information is more current. The diversity of public education will indirectly affect the selection of information quality and selection of appropriate media to meet the information needs. Suara Merdeka as the pioneer newspaper in the city of Semarang continue to adapt to developments in technology to stay afloat in the competition among media. What factors make Suara Merdeka still exist? Whether the loyalty of readers? Does the emergence of many online news sites affecting Suara Merdeka reader loyalty?Then, what about the level of education, are also affecting Suara Merdeka reader loyalty? The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the intensity of consumption of online news towards of loyalty readers Suara Merdeka Daily and know the relationship between level of education towards of the readers Suara Merdeka Daily loyalty. Type of study is a type of explanatory approach to quantitative research methods. While the sampling technique with probability sampling method that took the 100 respondents. Testing the hypothesis in this study uses statistical methods Kendall's Tau rank correlation (τ). This technique is used to find the correlation coefficient between the data ordinal data and other ordinal. The study findings suggest that there is low correlation between the intensity of consumption of online news towards of loyalty readers Suara Merdeka Daily and there is no correlation between level of education towards of the readers Suara Merdeka Daily loyalty. The loyalty of Suara Merdeka most readers are not affected by the high level of intensity of online news consumption and high levels of readers. There was a high loyalty of readers due to the presence of trust towards the brand (cognitive aspect), commitment to the brand (affective aspects), tend to use the same brand in the future (conative aspect), as well as repeat purchase / subscribe to the brand and recommend the brand to another party (behavioral aspects). Sistem Informasi penggajian merupakan salah satu sistem yang memuat kegiatan pengolahan data pegawai dengan tujuan menghasilkan data yang valid dan terintegrasi, Sistem kepegawaian pada Kantor Dinas Perikanan Dan Kelautan Kabupaten Demak mengolah data kepegawaiannya masih menggunakan basis data yang sederhana, sehingga kesalahan pengolahan data masih kerap terjadi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data ini dengan mengamati objek langsung dengan permasalahan yang ada. Serta studi pustaka atau literatur dari berbagai sumber dengan mencari data-data untuk menambah wawasan dalam pengembangan aplikasi yang dibuat. Dalam pembuatan Sistem Informasi Kepegawaian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan sistem dengan model Waterfall dan Implementasi Sistem menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic 2010.Net. Sistem Informasi yang dihasilkan dapat mengatasi masalah pada Kantor Dinas Perikanan Dan Kelautan Kabupaten Demak dalam pengolahan data pegawai sehingga prosesnya menjadi tersistematis dan terkomputerisasi

PENCATATAN KEUANGAN PADA UMKM SNACK MEWAH DI KABUPATEN SEMARANG

Perkembangan perekonomian di Indonesia yang berdasarkan pada konsep pengembangan ekonomi kerakyatan banyak didapat dari sektor UMKM. Informasi akuntansi mempunyai pengaruh yang sangat penting bagi pencapaian keberhasilan usaha, termasuk bagi usaha kecil. Namun para usaha kecil tidak memiliki pengetahuan akuntansi dan banyak diantara mereka yang belum memahami pentingnya pencatatan dan pembukuan bagi kelangsungan usaha. Pengusaha kecil memandang bahwa akuntansi tidak terlalu penting untuk diterapkan, oleh karena itu pentingnya memberikan pemahaman dan penerapan pencatatan keuangan bagi pelaku UMKM. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan di UMKM Snack Mewah yang berada di desa Candirejo Kabupaten Semarang. Produk yang dihasilkan Snack Mewah sangat beragam, seperti donat, pie, kue dan lain sebagainya. Jumlah snack yang di produksi adalah untuk permintaan di lingkup area Kabupaten Semarang dan Salatiga. Mayoritas pesanan adalah menyediakan snack untuk pabrik, kantor dan pasar. Usaha tersebut dikerjakan oleh anggota keluarga dan dibantu beberapa pekerja yang berasal dari lingkungan sekitar. Produk Snack Mewah cukup diminati  pembeli, oleh karena itu setiap hari rutin memproduksi olahan yang beragam sesuai dengan pesanan. Namun dalam kegiatan produksinya belum melakukan pencatatan keuangan dalam proses bisnisnya sehingga tidak dapat diketahui dengan pasti berapa laba yang diperoleh dari memproduksi dan menjual olahan bahan baku yang dibeli. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada pengelola Snack Mewah untuk dapat mengetahui laba yang diperoleh dengan menghitung nilai biaya produksi

The Representation of Motivational Values in The Issue of Motivation on Pinterest Website A Semiotic Study

This study investigated the representation of motivational values in pictures and the myths underlying the representations. The data are ten pictures containing the issue of motivation retrieved from Pinterest website. This is a qualitative research framed in Barthes’ orders of signification theory (1972). The theory was used to discover the representation of motivational values while the theory of motives by Murray (2009) became the foundation in revealing the myths from the representations. The result shows that there are three classifications of the representation of motivational values, namely the motivational values in global context, the motivational values in the context of health, and the motivational values in the context of sport. Moreover, of the three motivational values, there are five values that stand out: hard work, independence, total action, focus, and benefit of having opportunities. With regard to the myth, there are two motives, namely the motive of achievement and the motive of counteraction. In addition, there are three elaborations in the motive of achievement: to overcome obstacles, to accomplish something difficult, and to master physical things. Furthermore, there are two elaborations in the motive of counteraction: to overcome weaknesses and to repress fear. This study suggests that besides motivational speech of particular people, any texts including pictures can serve as source for motivation.Keywords: Representation, Motives, Motivational values, Myths, Pinteres
