    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan tetes, katul dan onggok serta level bakteri asam laktat terhadap kandungan protein kasar, serat kasar, dan gross energi serta tekstur, pH, dan suhu silase rumput gajah. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan Sembilan perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P0,05) terhadap tekstur silase. Kesimpulannya adalah pada pembuatan silase rumput gajah (kadar air ± 60 %) penggunaan tetes 2 % baik dengan ataupun tanpa tambahan bakteri asam laktat lebih baik dibanding penggunaan 10 % katul dan 10 % onggok ditinjau dari karakteristik fisik dan kandungan nutrisinya

    The Use of Appropriate Vocabulary of the First Grade Students of SMA Negeri 6 Kota Bengkulu

    The purpose of this study was to evaluate the use of appropriate vocabulary by the first grade students of SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu. Population of this research was all of the first grade students of SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu. They were 198 students. The number of the sample was taken 25 % of the population. They were 50 students who were selected randomly. They were given a multiple choice vocabulary test with four choices. The result of this research showed that the vocabulary appropriateness by the first grade students of SMAN 6 Kota Bengkulu were as follows: deficient category was 6 %, mediocre category was 58 %, good category was 28 %, and very good category was 8 %. From the result of the study, it can be concluded that the vocabulary appropriateness by most of the first grade students of SMAN 6 Kota were in mediocre category. For further research, it is recommended to find out the factors that was faced the students in the use of appropriate vocabulary

    Impact of Glutathione Administration on Antioxidant Levels and Ileum Histologic of Growth Phase of Cihateup Duck in Extensively Maintained

    This research has been carried out for a month using eighty three-month-old female Cihateup ducks and has been used to study the influence of glutathione on the endogen antioxidant response and  histological illeum. The separation of glutathione was carried out using the distillation technique. Each experimental group consisted of 20 ducks, each treated with G0 = without glutathione; G1= Administration of glutathione 150 µL/head; G2 = Administration of glutathione 175 µL/head; G3= Administration of glutathione 175 µL/head. Tissue and blood sampling was collected at the end of the study by EDTA tube and a fixative solution, and tissue preparations were made using the Mallory-Asan technique and analyzed using a binocular microscope. Antioxidant levels were measured using a spectrophotometer technique based on the instructions of the Randox Kit. The results showed that glutathione affected (P<0.05) morphometric ileum (villi, Peyeri's plaque and goblet cells) and increased with increasing glutathione level and endogenous antioxidant response. It was concluded that glutathione is able to stimulate protein and lipid anabolism, as well as hormonal signals related to ileal tissue growth and antioxidants

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap pustakawan pada layanan sirkulasi di Perpustakaan Daerah Jepara. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian Kualitatif dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara kepada informan untuk melihat secara langsung persepsi pemustaka tentang sikap pustakawan pada layanan sirkulasi di perpustakaan, dan studi pustaka untuk mengumpulkan informasi yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil analisis diketahui bahwa persepsi pemustaka tentang sikap pustakawan di layanan sirkulasi Perpustakaan Daerah Jepara dari aspek kehandalan, terkait dengan daya tanggap pustakawan, akurasi atau kesesuaian pelayanan pustakawan, kompetensi, dan komunikatif ini cukup baik; tetapi dalam daya tanggap merespon untuk melakukan sesuatu dirasa kurang. Aspek empati (sikap simpatik dan kesopanan pustakawan) baik, sementara sebagian pustakawan kurang simpatik. Aspek perhatian (sikap kepedulian, sikap tindak lanjut dan proaktif) baik dalam sikap tindak lanjut, cukup baik dalam kepedulian, sementara beberapa pustakawan yang kurang peduli dan proakti

    Potential of Wind Speed for Wind Power Generation In Perlis, Northern Malaysia

     This paper presents an analysis of the wind speed characteristics in Perlis, Northern Malaysia for the year of 2006. The characteristics consist of daily, monthly and annual mean wind speed. The Weibull distribution function is applied to analyze the wind speed characteristics and used to calculate the wind power generation potential. Potential of wind power generation is observed and analyzed during 24 hours (9th March 2011). The analysis result of monthly mean wind power and energy density show that the early (January to march) and the end (December) of year have a high wind power and energy potential, but the middle of year they are very low, it is necessary to develop  a special wind power generation capable of harnessing the little wind resource available in Perlis. Observation during 24 hours (9th March 2011), for a 24 V wind power generation gives 10% of its total output voltage

    Diallyl-n-Sulfide of Garlic Inhibits Glycogenolysis in Heat-Stressed Laying Sentul Chicken

    Heat stress causes a decrease in metabolic function and immunity, which results in a decrease in production. The provision of natural extracts such as the active compound dyally n-suldifa (Dn-S) is one strategy to overcome the adverse effects of heat stress. One hundred and twenty-five female laying native chickens, with an average body weight of 1213.83±15.52 g, 40 weeks old, were used in this experiment, to study the impact of Dn-S administration from garlic on the metabolite profile of the glycogenolysis pathway. laying. Laying hens were distributed into five treatment groups, each with 25 samples. Dn-S isolation from garlic isolated by distillation technique. The study was carried out with five types of experimental treatments, as follows the group with a comfort zone temperature (24°C) and without the administration of Diallyl n-Sulfide (Dn-S), heat stress (38°C) and without Dn-S, heat stress (38°C) and 100 µL Dn-S, heat stress (38°C) and 125 µL Dn-S, heat stress (38°C) and 150 µL Dn-S/head. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that heat stress causes an increase in the rate of glycogenolysis and intermediate metabolites and their catalyzing enzymes. It appears that the administration of 150 µL Dn-S, effectively reduces the rate of glycogenolysis. It was concluded that heat stress on laying hens could be avoid by administering garlic Dn-S

    Comparison of Eight Month Coastal Polluted Porcelain and Epoxy Resin Outdoor Insulators

    This study presents the experimental results of eight months naturally coastal polluted outdoor porcelain and epoxy resin insulators. The experiments were leakage current and applied high voltage measurements used a two-channel storage digital oscilloscope, in the hermetically sealed chamber, where temperature, humidity , pressure and applied voltage could be adjusted and measured simultaneously. The leakage current waveforms were analyzed using FFT and the relation to environmental parameters were analyzed using correlation matrix of multivariate statistical tools. It was also conducted SEM and EDAX tests. Base on the correlation coefficient matrix, the humidity contributed to leakage current amplitude and phase angle on the porcelain insulator were very significant, with the correlation coefficient were 0.60 and -0.68 respectively. Whereas, on polluted epoxy resin insulator, the humidity did not influence to leakage current and phase angle considerably. Generally, the surface became rougher than the new one.     Upland rice plays an important role in supporting food security for community in dryland areas. Genotype × environment interaction is an important factor to be considered in the development of upland rice in Indonesia, because they affect rice yield stability. Genotype × environment interaction and yield stability of rice genotypes are important information to be considered for the development of upland rice. The study was conducted over two years on a dry land area of Banjarnegara, Central Java, using 10 genotypes of upland rice (UNRAM 1E, 4E UNRAM, UNRAM 17E, 9E UNRAM, Unsoed G10, G19 Unsoed, Unsoed G39, G136 Unsoed, B12644F-MR-2, B12498C-MR-1) and two varieties (Situ Patenggang and Way Rarem) as control. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. Results showed that planting time affect yield and yield components of the upland rice tested. Effect of the genotype x planting time interaction was shown on plant height, flowering date, harvest age, and crop yields. The upland rice genotypes that showed a stable high yields over years of planting were UNRAM 4, Unsoed G10, G136 Unsoed, B12644F-MR-2, and Situ Patenggang and Way Rarem

    Model Prediksi Metabolit Melalui Jalur Glikogenolisis Berdasarkan Fluktuasi Mikroklimat Lingkungan Kandang Sapi Perah

    Empat puluh ekor sapi perah laktasi 3-4 telah digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengkaji hubungan mikroklimat dengan metabolisme melalui jalau glikogenolisis. Dua buah thermometer bola basah dan bola kering dipasang di dalam kandang serta di sekitar kandang pada masing-masing lokasi peternakan di Sukabumi dan Bandung Barat. Fluktuasi temperature, kelembaban serta temperature humidity index (THI) dicatat dan dihitung setiap hari. Penetapan kelembaban berdasarkan temperature bola kering serta perbedaan temperature antara bola kering dengan baola basah. Indeks temperatur dan kelembaban ditetapkan berdasarkan temperatur bola kering dan kelembaban. Koleksi data penelitian (kadar glikogen, glukosa 1-fosfat, glukosa 6-fosfat, glukosa 6-fosfatase dan glukosa) dilakukan sekali sebulan selama empat bulan. Plasma darah telah dikoleksi dari vena coccigeae. Sampel plasma darah telah dianalisis dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer berdasarkan biolabo kit dan eliza biosource kit. Data yang telah dikalkulasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis korelasi regresi. Software SPSS IBM 21 telah digunakan untuk menganalisis semua parameter tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi baik positif maupun negatif antarparameter mikrolingkungan, metabolit melalui jalur glikogenolisis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh model prediksi kadar glikogen = 14,272 - 1,383 Temp + 0,935 RH -1,628 THI; Glukosa 1-Fosfat = 3,572 + 1,381 Temp + 0,733 RH + 1,836 THI; Glukosa 6-Fosfat = 81,771 + 1,373 Temp + 0,729 RH + 1,471 THI; Glukosa 6-Fosfatase = 53,381 + 1,274 Temp + 0,527RH +1,618 THI dan Glukosa = 43,721 + 0,787 Temp + 0,3061RH – 1,840 THI
