    ABSTRAK The nature of this research is a survey with the cross sectional design. The population of this research is all residents of Kendari Cyti with is infinitive number. The sample is taken with the systematic random sampling, that is, 100 heads of household.The research variables : the independent variables (X) are social economocl factor which consist of educational grade and the number of the family memberand the independent variable (Y) is the sanitation level of the houses. Colected data is analized by the descriptive method and the regession statistical examination using SPSS program at 95% reability or a =0.05. The variable of the educational grade (X,) combined with the sanitation level of the houses point to rxl =0.320, with the contribution given to the houses snitation at9.3%the kind of work (X2) combined with the sanitation level of the houses (Y) point to rx2 = 0.288, with the contribution given to the houses sanitation at 7.3%the family income(X3) combined with the sanitation level of the houses (Y) point to r^ =0.273, with the contribution given to the houses snitation at 6.5%and thevnumber of familiy member (X4) combined with the sanitation level of the houses (Y) point to rx4 = 0.241, with the contribution given to the houses sanitation at4.8%. Each variable has a significnt relationship with the snitation level of the houses, with P = 0.001

    Background: The coverage of family toilet at Sub District of Panti is still relatively low (20.28%), morbidity from diarrhea is relatively high (8.89%) and outbreak sometimes occurs in this area. An effort that has been made by Pasaman District Health Office to widen the coverage of family toilet and minimize morbidity from diarrhea at Sub District of Panti is encouraging community participation in the provision of family toilet through Community Lead Total Sanitation (CLTS). However, the result is still far from the expectation. This may be due to limited knowledge, attitude, education, income and participation of the community in the provision of family toilet through CLTS.Objectives: To identify factors related to community participation in the provision of family toilet through CLTS at Sub District of Panti, District of Pasaman.Methods: This was a quantitative approach research cross sectional design. Location of the study was Subdistrict of Panti, District of Pasaman. Subject of the study were heads of the family participating in CLTS activities. The variable employed in this research of knowledge, attitude, education, and income; and was community participation in the provision of family toilet through CLTS. Data analysis used univariable, bivariable with chi square and multivariable with logistic regression.Results: The result of the study showed that there was relationship between knowledge, attitude and income of respondents and participation (p0.05). Out of the three factors related to community participation in the provision of family toilet through CLTS, attitude was most dominant with p=0.000 and â=0.273 and OR=5.3.Conclusion: Knowledge, attitude and income of respondents had significant relationship with community participation in the provision of family toilet through CLTS and attitude was the most dominant

     AbstractBackground: Jogja Hospital is a Government-owned Hospital run by the Government of city of Jogyakarta. In its daily activities, the hospital produces waste which, if not properly discharged or burned, may cause adverse effect on workers as well as the surrounding area. Jogja hospital has Incinerator, thus simplifying the management such waste. The waste management including the rules, procedures and policymaking need to be explored to investigate the process of waste management of Jogja hospital. Methods: This study used a qualitative descriptive case study in order to get a clear picture or description about certain situation objectively. The unit analysis was the solid waste management in the Jogja Hospital. In-depth interviews were conducted with the Head of Environmental Health Installation and Waste Management Officer. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews and document studies, as well as data in the form photos and recordings.Results: The process of solid waste management at the Jogja hospital was carried out by the hospital waste management officer under the direction of the Hospital Environmental Health Installation. Waste Management Officer was a by-contract employee financed by the Hospital. The Incinerator Facility helped the hospital in processing the medical waste and it was also a source income for the hospital since many other parties (private hospitals, general practitioners, private maternity clinic, and midwives) process their waste in the hospital’s incinerator. The monitoring of the air quality, toxic gas and ashes emissions was carried out by the Board of Environmental Health and Contagious Disease Control (BBTKL-PPM) in Yogyakarta. Disposal of ash from burning in place in WWTP Hospital Yogyakarta. Conclusion: Hospital Policies Jogja by performing the contract system to facilitate the supervision of officers.     ANALISIS KETAATAN KARYAWAN DALAM PEMERIKSAAN KESEHATAN BERKALA DI RUMAH SAKIT PKU MUHAMMADIYAH KOTA YOGYAKARTA

    Background: The hospital is one workplace where there is staff, patients, visitors, medical devices and non-medical, so in the hospital there are a variety of exposures, among others, chemical, biological, ergonomics. Employees at the hospital is a potential resource that must be nurtured to become productive and quality. But apparently in carrying out daily sociality services especially in the work environment, employees are more exposed to the various factors that may cause negative impact and affect their health status. Employees in hospitals vary greatly in terms of type and number in executing its duties is always associated with a variety of potential hazards if not properly and correctly anticipated to have a negative impact on safety and health, which in turn can affect the productivity of work. Low labor productivity will also have an impact on health services provided by the hospital. The implementation of occupational safety and health program (K3) in the hospital is required to prevent various hazards that may cause health effects. However, the implementation of K3 in particular areas of work on employee health in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta has not fully run optimally, citing the cost is relatively expensive. Method: This study was an observational study that was descriptive qualitative located in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The subjects consisted of Chairman PK3, PK3 Secretary, and 50 permanent employees in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Results: Based on the research of 52 employees, obtained results showed that the level of employee compliance in following the health checks can be quite good even as many as 65%. Conclusion: Factors inhibiting the implementation of occupational health in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta is the lack of socialization from the hospital to its employees, employee behavior, and no sanctions for employees who do not want to follow the program. While the reasons for employees to check their health on a regular basis is self-protection, and to know his health. Compliance level employees in the following periodic medical examinations in hospitals PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta good enough.     Abstrak Telah dilakukan penelitian terhadap 30 orang petani yang bertugas dalam regu pemberantas hama (RPH), di Kalurahan Tlogodadi, Kecamatan Mlati, Kabupaten Sleman,Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh pemaparan pestisida terhadap sistem saraf yang diduga menimbulkan gejala polineuropati . Disain penelitian adalah case control, study dengan ketentuan, orang yang menderita penyakit diabetes melitus, gizi kurang, dan infeksi virus pada saluran nafas atas dikeluarkan dari subjek penelitian. Sebagai kontrol diambil dari 12 orang petani dari kelurahan yang sama, tetapi bukan sebagai penyemprot hams. Diagnosis polineuropati ditegakkan berdasarkan anamnesis dan pemeriksaan fisik neurologik. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara melakukan anamnesis terhadap subjek penelitian dengan kuesioner, dilanjutkan memeriksanya secara fisik-neurologik. Kemudian dilakukan pemeriksaan darah di laboratorium, meliputi (1) kadar Hb dengan metode Sahli(2) kadar gula darah sesaat, metode GOD-PAP kolorimetrik dan enzymatikdeproteinisasidan (3) kolinesterase dengan alchohol test. Pemeriksaan elektromiografi dengan EMNG merk Nikon Khoden tipe 3102, terhadap nervus medianus, nervus radialis, nervus ulnaris, dan F-reflek dari ekstremitas bawah. Uji statistik dilakukan dengan analisis Nest dan analisis variansi. Uji t-test memberikan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) ada perbedaan bermakna antara aktivitas kolinesterase dan F-Reflek (p0,01)

    Abstrak Pantai kenjeran di Surabaya mernpunyai banyak fungsi baik sebagai tempat rekreasi, perikanan serta tempat pembuangan limbah dari kota Surabaya. Studi sebelumnya telah menjelaskan bahwa pantai Kenjeran telah tercemar khususnya Hg. Polutan ini telah diindikasikan terdapat dalam ikan yang dikonsumsi masyarakat sekitar. Penelitian ini mcngkaji dampak mengkonsumsi ikan dari Kenjeran kaitannya dengan kesehatan masyarakat yang menkonsumsi ikan. Peneliltian ini mengambil sample 70 orang yang mengkonsumsi ikan dan 45 orang sebagai kontrol grup. Dalam penelitian ini rambut responden diambil dan dikaji dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Penclitian ini menghasilkan bahwa responden yang mengkonsumsi ikan sebanyak rata-rata 99,11 gram/hark mempunyai kadar Fig dalam rambutnya sebesar 0,511 ppb. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan gejala-gejala penyakit yang terjadi pada mereka yang rnengkonsumsi ikan antara lain ginjal, pusing-pusing, tumor, pendarahan gusi, dan gangguan penglihatan. Penclitian ini menyimpulkan adanya korelasi yang signifikan antara responden yang mengkonsumsi ikan yang tercemar dengan kadar Hg dalam rambutnya. Kata kunci: Hg, kesehatan, nelayan, rambut

    MANFAAT JUS TOMAT (Solanum lycopersicum L.) UNTUK MENURUNKAN KELELAHAN KERJA CLEANING SERVICE DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM DAERAH WATES

    Kelelahan adalah salah satu faktor penyebab utama kecelakaan kerja yang disebabkan oleh manusia. Petugas cleaning service di RSUD Wates merupakan petugas yang berisiko mengalami kelelahan karena petugas tidak hanya melakukan pekerjaan pokok namun juga pekerjaan tambahan. Hasil uji pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa dengan 250 ml jus tomat dapat menurunkan kelelahan kerja sebanyak 30 angka dengan kategori normal menjadi prima. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menurunkan tingkat kelelahan petugas dengan pemberian jus tomat variasi A(250 ml), B(300 ml), C(350 ml)), dan D(400 ml). Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan desain rancangan non equivalent control group design. Populasi sebanyak 54 orang dengan sampel sebanyak 48 orang dimana pada masing-masing orang dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 5 kali. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reaction timer dan digital environmental multimeter. Hasil penelitian didapatkan jumlah angka penurunan kelelahan kerja pada kelompok kontrol sebesar 428, variasi A sebesar 621, variasi B sebesar 531, variasi C sebesar 672, dan variasi D sebesar 682. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik Kruskal Wallis menunjukkan p-value 0,111 yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan bermakna dari berbagai variasi jus tomat. Diharapkan bagi pihak rumah sakit untuk melakukan kontrol gizi kerja kepada responden maupun karyawan rumah sakit untuk mencegah adanya kelelahan kerja. Pengurangan beban kerja yang tidak seharusnya dilakukan petugas cleaning service diharapkan dapat membantu untuk menurunkan tingkat kelelahan kerja. Bagi peneliti lain diharapkan dapat melakukan penelitian sejenis dengan penambahan pengukuran seperti mengukur denyut nadi untuk dapat lebih mengidentifikasi seberapa besar tingkat kelelahan responden. Selain hal tersebut peneliti lain dapat menambah variasi jus tomat untuk lebih mengetahui manfaat dari jus tomat tersebut seperti 500 ml atau 600 ml, serta menggunakan buah lain yang komposisinya mirip dengan tomat seperti pepaya atau mangga
