Proposed standards and best practices for technological infrastructure at contact centers in the Dominican Republic

The Contact Center industry in the Dominican Republic has experienced a considerable and fast growth in the last years. The main focus of this industry has been offering services to companies located outside the country. One notorious problem is the lack of written documentation in regards to general requirements needed to set up a Contact Center in the territory. The objective of this research is the presentation of a set of proposed standards and best practices for requirements of Technological Infrastructure for Contact Centers located in the Dominican Republic. These standards and best practices have been developed considering the needs identified within a Contact Center domain model, which was developed for this project. Other factors that were taken into consideration are the technological requirements for the operations of the Contact Center, the reasons why clients outsource their services and the technological challenges faced by Dominican Contact Centers that influence operations from a technological point of view

IL-10 and TNF α

The production of two regulators of the inflammatory response, interleukin 10 (IL-10) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNFα), has been found to be deeply deregulated in SLE patients, suggesting that these cytokines may be involved in the pathogenesis of the disease. Genetic polymorphisms at the promoter regions of IL-10 and TNFα genes have been associated with different constitutive and induced cytokine production. Given that individual steady-state levels of these molecules may deviate an initial immune response towards different forms of lymphocyte activation, functional genetic variants in their promoters could influence the development of SLE. The present review summarizes the information previously reported about the involvement of IL-10 and TNFα genetic variants on SLE appearance, clinical phenotype, and outcome. We show that, in spite of the heterogeneity of the populations studied, the existing knowledge points towards a relevant role of IL-10 and TNFα genotypes in SLE

Trabajo de InvestigaciónEn la actualidad el mundo afronta graves problemas climáticos por el uso irracional de los recursos y la ausencia de la preservación de los mimos. Los países desarrollados y las grandes corporaciones están iniciando campañas para la renovación y preservación de los recursos naturales, con la premisa que si seguimos a este ritmo, no habrá futuro para la humanidad. Es así que han surgido todo tipo de estudios y desarrollos de tecnologías ambientales que ayudan a la renovación de los ecosistemas. La certificación LEED es una de ellas ya que en su esencia busca certificar a las compañías que emplean sistemas de preservación ambiental como el ahorro de energía, cuidado del agua, cuidado y calidad del aire entre otros. Esta idea se ha ido propagando en la población que también busca aportar su grano de arena a la causa. Es así que los centros educativos buscan implantar estas nuevas tecnologías en cada ciudadano de su población. Colombia no es la excepción, ya que las entidades educativas privadas y estatales ya están educando a los estudiantes para que ayuden a preservar los recursos naturales desde casa. Un ejemplo de ello se evidencia en la localidad de Usme en la ciudad de Bogotá. Los líderes comunitarios apoyados por entidades educativas o estatales están generando conciencia e implementando tecnologías para preservar y aprovechar los recursos hídricos de dicha zona.PregradoIngeniero Civi
