The main goal of this paper is to reflect on the perspectives and challenges of art and archaeology research. The paper investigates main objectives through the lens of the art historian and archaeologist. Even though, the study on relations between art and archaeology has a long tradition in archaeology and the most famous researchers reflected on those tensions (Colin Renfrew, Michael Shanks, Andrew Jones, Ian Russell, Paul Reilly, Paul Bonaventura), art and archaeology approach is still not a coherent and systematic methodological framework. To deal with this notable lack, the author revises previous studies and points at the possible advantages of the development of studies at the border of art, archaeology and aesthetics. The main problems are illustrated and discussed in reference to archaeological museums and the Polish contemporary art represented by Hubert Czerepok, Agata Ingarden, Agnieszka Kalinowska, Agnieszka Kurant, Robert Kuśmirowski and Joanna Rajkowska. The main goal of this paper is to reflect on the perspectives and challenges of art and archaeology research. Background: The aim of this study was an attempt to answer the question whether laser mammography in dense breast (classified as category 3,4 according to ACR) examination together with x-ray mammography can enhance the detection of breast cancer. Material/Method: 248 women who had undergone a CTLM examination and mammography in the Department of Radiology of Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology in the years 2005-2007 were analyzed retrospectively. In these examinations, x-ray mammography did not reveal lesions (BIRADS 1, category 3 and 4 according to ACR). An interval between CTLM and mammography did not exceed 30 days. The examination result was verified by cytology/histopathology or observation after a minimum of 12 months provided a regular result. CTLM visualizes normal and pathological blood vessels and tissues which are rich in blood, because laser rays used in CTLM (808nm) are more absorbable by hemoglobin than by the surrounding tissue, making it possible to show a malignant tumor by its accompanying angiogenesis. The result of CTLM mammography was qualified either as the presence (+) or absence (–) of angiogenesis. Results: Among 248 women, angiogenesis was discovered by CTLM in 48 cases, in the CTLM (+) Group 13/48 women were diagnosed with breast cancer, whereas 35/48 were diagnosed with benign lesions. Angiogenesis was not identified in 200 women, in the CTLM (-) group 13/200 were diagnosed finally with cancer, with 187/200 patients having no malignancy. Ultimately, in the group of 248 women (with dense breast, category 3 and 4 according to ACR), in whom x-ray mammography did not reveal malignant processes (BIRADS 1), 26 cancers were detected out of which 13 were revealed with CTLM Conclusions: Computed Tomography Laser Mammography, when used as an adjunct to x-ray mammography, enhances the detection of breast cancer in women with dense breast tissue

Creativity is now an exposed trait. This is due to the high need for innovation, original and useful solutions that serve the development of the organization, their effective market entry and long-term survival. This publication is a collection of papers prepared under The First National Conference “CREATIVE VIBES. Kreatywnością napędzamy gospodarkę”, whose aim was to stir issues concerning the significance of creativity from the point of view of the development of innovative economy, as well as to draw attention to the role of creativity in the education process of students and its impact on the development of professional competence.Planning a career path was until recently the operation of human resource management carried out by organizations, which becomes inadequate to meet the needs of the current situation on the labour market. The period of employment with the same employer has become significantly shorter now. The main reasons for this are two. On the one hand, organizations seeking to maintain flexibility do not establish long-term employment relationships, on the other – also employees increasingly want to accumulate rich professional experience and independently shape their own career path. The effectiveness of individual professional development planning depends largely on the ability of creative thinking, the ease of finding themselves in new situations, finding unconventional solutions and the courage to pursue them. Therefore, the aim of the article was to show what impact the creativity has on planning and development of career paths

Purpose – The aim of this article is to provide a comparative analysis of the results of research carried out in the Malopolskie and Pomorskie voivodeships in four areas: identification of key work attributes based on the ranking of their importance, assessment of satisfaction with the performance of work features being at the core of the analysis, exposure of the gaps between the expectations of employees and satisfaction with the performance of individual work features. Research method– The research was conducted using the survey method and purposive sampling technique. In both voivodeships the gender and age of the respondents’ was identical. The measuring instrument included four work dimensions which consisted of 18 partial features. Results – In both voivodeships, the most important work features were: the opportunity to accommodate work with personal life (i.e. work life balance), working relationships with co-workers, fairness of the superior followed by remuneration and communication at work. Statistically significant differences in the assessment of satisfaction with the performance of six features were shown. Originality / value – The results obtained constitute a strong basis for developing a scale to measure the perceived quality of work life, allowing for comparisons between regions, taking into account the cultural environment in Poland. The high value of KMO coefficients and the satisfactory internal consistency of the scale allowed for the testing of competitive confirmatory models.Article received support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education grants to maintain research potential of the Faculty of Management at the Cracow University of Economics.Jadwiga STOBIECKA: [email protected] PANGSY-KANIA: [email protected] STOBIECKA, PhD, Eng., Cracow University of Economics Professor Faculty of Management, Cracow University of EconomicsSylwia PANGSY-KANIA, PhD, University of Gdańsk Professor Faculty of Economics, University of GdańskAfroz S., 2017, Quality of Work Life: A Conceptual Model, “Advances in Economics and Business Management”, vol. 4, iss. 8, pp. 570-578.Błoński K., Burlita A., 2018, Praca jako obszar jakości życia – wyniki badań, „Handel Wewnętrzny”, nr 5, s. 16-24.Bora B., Saumenda D., Murthy V., 2015,Quality of Work Life – a Literature Review,“International Journal in Management and Social Science”, vol. 5, iss. 4, pp. 1470-1476.Borys T., 2001, Jakość życia a zrównoważony rozwój. The aim of the research was to assess the content of components showing antioxidant activity in the milk of Holstein-Friesian cows and changes in the total antioxidant status during subsequent lactations and their stages. The material for analysis consisted of milk collected from 90 cows (30 for each analysed lactation number: I - primaparous; II - multiparous in second lactation; III - multiparous in third lactation) during three periods: 1 - up to 100 days of lactation, 2 - 101-200 days of lactation, and 3 - 201-305 days of lactation. The basic chemical composition, casein content, somatic cell counts, selected whey proteins and fat-soluble vitamins were determined in the milk. The total antioxidant status (TAS) of milk was also measured. With the subsequent lactation, the content of components with antioxidant properties, i.e. vitamins A and E, and albumins (α-lactalbumin and β-lactoglobulin), decreased significantly (p≤0.01). Simultaneously, a decrease in the level of TAS in milk was noted. The lactation phase had a minor effect on the antioxidant potential of milk. The obtained high correlation coefficients between the value of the TAS and the content of vitamins A, E and β-lactoglobulin indicate that the content of these compounds largely determines the antioxidant potential of milk. On the other hand, the obtained negative correlations between the level of antioxidant potential and the daily milk yield (r = -0.347, p≤0.05) suggest that the high productivity of cows negatively affects the antioxidant value of milk.

The aim of the research was to assess the awareness of catering staff about allergen management. The research tool was a questionnaire consisting of 25 questions, addressed to employees of catering establishments of the nutritional type (restaurant) and supplementary (cafeteria) and closed network (school canteen). It was shown that many employees, regardless of the type of plant, did not have even elementary knowledge about the allergens present in the dishes and did not know the applicable procedures and provisions concerning the provision of information on allergens to consumers.
