Étude comparative randomisée de l’efficacité et de l’impact sur la prise de décision clinique en médecine familiale de deux moteurs de recherche médicaux : InfoClinique et TRIP Database

Cette étude randomisée visait à comparer l’efficacité et l’impact sur le processus de décision clinique en médecine familiale de deux moteurs de recherche médicaux : InfoClinique et TRIP Database. Quinze résidents en médecine familiale ont répondu à 20 questions cliniques portant sur des interventions thérapeutiques ou préventives avant et après une recherche initiée au hasard avec InfoClinique ou TRIP Database. En plus de donner les réponses aux questions cliniques, les participants ont rempli des questionnaires en ligne pour évaluer l’impact du moteur de recherche sur le processus de prise de décision. L’efficacité à trouver une réponse correcte aux questions et l’impact des informations trouvées sur le processus de prise de décision clinique ont été similaires à la suite de la recherche initiée avec InfoClinique et TRIP Database. La proportion de réponses correctes observée avant la recherche (25%) a augmenté de façon importante et similaire après la recherche initiale avec les deux moteurs de recherche passant à 63%. Le choix d’utiliser l’un ou l’autre des moteurs de recherche pourrait reposer sur des préférences ergonomiques, géographiques ou linguistiques

Les techniques de la documentation : un programme de formation collégiale en évolution

Afin de maintenir la pertinence des contenus enseignés et d’assurer l’adéquation aux besoins du marché du travail, un projet d’actualisation locale du programme Techniques de la documentation a été lancé en 2014 au Collège de Maisonneuve. Dans le cadre de ce projet, le département a identifié plusieurs défis. Ces défis s’articulent autour de sept grands axes : le traitement documentaire, les services au public, la gestion des documents administratifs, les systèmes documentaires informatisés, la gestion de projet, les attitudes professionnelles et les stages. Cet article propose un survol général de ces défis et dresse un portrait de la réalité du programme Techniques de la documentation. Il contribue également à une meilleure compréhension des compétences attendues du futur technicien en documentation.In order to maintain the relevance of the curriculum and to ensure current labour market requirements, a revision of the library technology programme of the Collège de Maisonneuve was launched in 2014. The department identified a number of challenges that were assembled around seven themes: cataloguing, public services, records management, automated information systems, project management, professional attitudes and field experience. This article presents an overview of these challenges and establishes a portrait of the library technology programme. It also enables a better understanding of the competencies expected of a library technician.A fin de mantener la coherencia de los contenidos y de garantizar su adecuación a las necesidades del mercado laboral, en 2014, se lanzó un proyecto de actualización local del programa Técnicas de la Documentación, en el Collège de Maisonneuve. En el marco de este proyecto, se identificaron numerosos desafíos articulados en torno a siete ejes principales: el tratamiento de los documentos, la atención al público, la gestión de los documentos administrativos, los sistemas documentales informatizados, la gestión de proyectos, las actitudes profesionales y las pasantías. Este artículo presenta un panorama general de estos desafíos y refleja la realidad del programa Técnicas de la Documentación, contribuyendo al mismo tiempo a una mejor comprensión de las competencias que se esperan del futuro técnico en materia de documentación

Interventions to enhance adherence to dietary advice for preventing and managing chronic diseases in adults

Interventions to enhance adherence to dietary advice for preventing and managing chronic diseases in adults: a study protocol

Abstract Background Adoption of a healthy diet has been identified as the cornerstone in the prevention and management of chronic diseases. However, non-adherence to lifestyle changes raises an important issue since adherence level to dietary advice is a key determinant of the effectiveness of dietary treatment. Therefore, based on the results of a Cochrane systematic review on interventions for enhancing adherence to dietary advice for preventing and managing chronic diseases in adults, the aim of this study is to assess the importance and applicability of interventions enhancing adherence to dietary advice in the Canadian context. Methods/Design In phase 1, dietitians' opinion will be assessed through a Delphi study regarding the importance and the applicability in the Canadian context of the interventions found the most effective to enhance adherence to dietary advice through a Cochrane systematic review. In phase 2, findings of the Cochrane systematic review assessing the effects of interventions for enhancing adherence to dietary advice will be reported in a practical format on an online knowledge translation tool for dietitians and other health professionals. Discussion In recent years, there has been an increasing recognition of the failure to translate research findings into clinical practice. Therefore, knowledge translation efforts need to prioritize effective interventions that will be the most relevant for practice and end-users by adapting them to the local context. Our study will provide decision makers in the field of dietetic practice with essential knowledge on adherence for elaborating educational activities for academic or professional settings that will respond to dietitians' priorities in terms of importance and applicability to day-to-day practice.</p
