The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of guided inquiry model toward the students learning otucome in biology of grade XI IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo academic year 2013/2014. This research was quasi experiment using a design postest only with nonequivalent control group design. The research population was all students of grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo academic year 2013/2014. The sampling technique used cluster sampling to obtain class XI IPA 1 as a control group and class XI IPA 3 as a experimental group. Data collection techniques using test and non test method. Hypotesis testing with t-test using SPSS version 17. Result of this research showed the learning outcomes of knowledge (tcount> ttable) that tcount = 2.978 and ttable = 1.995, skills (tcount > ttable) that tcount = 16,509 and ttable = 1.995, as well as attitudes (tcount > ttable) that tcount = 3.905 and ttable=1.995. The decision on the third domain of learning outcomes that tcount > ttable with sig.< α shows that there was a real effect on the learning outcome in biology with guided inquiry model of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. The conclusion from this research that there was significant effect of guided inquiry model toward the students learning outcome in biology of grade XI IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo academic year 2013/2014. Keywords : guided inquiry, knowledge, skills, attitude

The aim of this research was to investigate the influence of the learning model of Experiential Learning with case study of students' critical thinking skills in the human reproductive system material.Research is Quasi Experiment (quasi-experimental) with research design Posttest Only with Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research population was all students of eleventh (XI) grade IPA SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta academic year 2012/2013. Sampling technique in the study is cluster sampling, with samples of the two classes, there are eleventh grade (XI) IPA 1 with 26 students as the number of experimental class and eleventh (XI) IPA 3 with 28 students a class control. Treatment in the experimental class is the application of the learning model of Experiential Learning with case study and in control class applied conventional learning model with varied lectures. The technique of collection data was using test method (essay) and non-test (documentation and observation). Hypothesis testing is done by using a t-test. The results showed that the average value of the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class was higher than the control class, which is 64.42 in experimental class and 51 in the control class. The results show the significant value of t test is 0.000 (sig. <0.05), so it can be said that there are significant differences in thecritical thinking skills betweenexperimental class with control class. The research has conclusion that the model of experiential learning with case studygives significant effect on students' critical thinking skills for eleventh(XI) grade IPA SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta in academic year 2012/2013 on the matter of human reproductive system

This research aimed to reduce misconception and improve the scientific process skill in the X MIA 2 graders of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta through the application of E-Module based on Problem-Based Learning. This study was a Classroom Action Research consisting of 2 cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subject of research was the X MIA 2 graders of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta consisting of 42 students. Techniques of collecting data used were multiple choice test and observation to measured scientific process skill, open-ended reasoning of Two-Tier Diagnostic Test to measure misconseption, and interveiw as the proponent data related learning process. The data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative technique consist of three component: data reduction, data presentation, and taking the conclusion. Data validation was carried out using triangulation method. Target of research was 20% to reduced misconseption and 30% to increased scientific process skill at the end of the cycle. The result of research showed that there was a decreased misconception in ecological concept: population of 51.31%, community of 43.73%, ecosystem of 39.36, and science, environment, technology and community (salingtemas) ecology of 54.33%. On the other side, the result of research also showes that there was an increased scientific process skill in all aspects: observing of 36.52%, categorizing of 19.95%, predicting of 32.92%, interpreting of 33.75%, measuring of 35.66%, communicating of 38.31%, designing experiment of 48.80%, experimenting of 41.38%, asking question of 31.02%, hypothesizing of 31.62%, and applying concept of 39.38%. The conclusion of this research describes that the application of E-Module based on Problem-Based Learning is able to reduce misconception and improve the scientific process skill among the students

The ability to compile concept maps is strongly influenced by the knowledge possessed. This research aims to describe students' Concept Maps scores on environmental pollution during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research includes a quantitative descriptive using a survey method with a population of 210 high school students. Data collection uses a Google form that asks students to make Concept Maps at the end of learning environmental pollution material. The researcher then assesses and determines the score of each student. Student scores are then combined and an average is obtained. The results showed that the largest percentage was owned by a valid relationship component of 9.75%, followed by a hierarchical component with a percentage of 7.34% and a branching component with a percentage of 3.42%. The pattern component is the fourth component with a percentage of 1.31%, followed by an example component with a percentage of 1.30% and the last component is a crosslink with a percentage of 0%. Acquired student concept map scores can be used to assess student learning outcomes so it is hoped that this research can be an evaluation material for students and teachers
