    A stratigraphic revision of the latest Cryogenian, Ediacaran and earliest Cambrian of the southwestern Siberian Platform is proposed here. All late Neoproterozoic stratigraphic units fill the Sayan foredeep. The sedimentary record is adscribed to the upper Cryogenian and Ediacaran Oselok Group and the lower Cambrian Ust’-Tagul Formation. They can be subdivided into members with a characteristic fossiliferous content ecology of Dickinsonia.Se propone a continuación una revisión estratigráfica del Criogénico terminal, el Ediacárico y el Cámbrico temprano en la Platafora Siberiana. Todas las unidades estratigráficas neoproterozoicas tardías llenan la cuenca remanente de Sayan.     Sedimentology and stratigraphic correlation of Vendian deposits in the southwestern Siberian Craton: Major contribution of an exocratonic clastic source to sedimentary systems

    The study focuses on the sedimentation and stratigraphy of a large Vendian (Ediacaran) sedimentary basin in the southwestern Siberian craton, with implications for the origin of its units and subunits. Sediments are been correlated along the craton edge and inward into the craton interior using stratigraphic sequences, including glacial and post-glacial deposits. Clastic complexes in the Vendian: upper Chapa, Taseeva, Oselok, and Baikal groups composed of fluvial deposits are of special importance for correlations. The structure of the continental Aysa Fm. of the Oselok Group in the Sayany area has been characterized in detail, based on universal classification of lithofacies and their sequences, and correlated with sediments in the craton interior. There are two Ediacaran subunits: a continental-marine complex below and a continental complex above. The continental-marine subunit in the subsided craton margins was deposited mainly upon postglacial plains (sandurs) and marginal sea shelves, with contributions from intracratonic clastic sources. The deposits of the continental subunit belong to centripetal fluvial systems directed from distant craton-margin mountain upland toward the epicontinental sea in the central Siberian craton. The continental subunit is composed of large sections of red and variegated fluvial deposits from a foreland basin which was accumulated mainly in foredeeps in the over-compensation setting and partly reached the slopes of forebulges. Big deep sand rivers with large channel bars were formed at early and late during orogenic activity, while perennial anastomosing and braided mud-sand rivers with levees originate during passive stages of orogeny. The largest progradation of fluvial systems onto the Siberian craton is marked by channel deposits of the lower members from the Nemchanka, Moshakovka, Aysa, Khuzhir and Kachergat fms., as well as by the Bokhan sandstone member of the Chora Fm

    The paper estimates spring wheat environmental plasticity and harvest sustainability when dropping on 2 predecessors (complete fallow and crops) in 2010–2011 and 2014. The authors applied varieties included into the State Register and selected short-season varieties and middle-early varieties produced in different environmental and climate conditions. The group of researchers studied plasticity by means of methods developed by Taem, Eberchart and Russel. The article indicates that periods of research differed in respect to amount and evenness of precipitation and temperature; this is certified by means of analysis of variance. Variations caused by cultivating conditions are 45.5 % whereas genotype variations and time variations are 22.08 % and 4.53 % resp of total feature phenotypic change. Variations caused by unpredictable conditions are high and equal to 22.01 %; it is due to agroclimatic and agrotechnical factors. The publication reveals short-season varieties to be the plastic ones as their average crop yield was at the standard level. The paper considers Prilenskaya 19 variety, Lutestens 1034 and Svecha variety to be sustainable ones. The authors make conclusion Pamyati Vavenkova variety is productive and resistant; Svecha variety is resistant and profitable.В условиях лесостепи Западной Сибири была проведена оценка экологической пластичности и стабильности по урожайности в 2010–2011 и 2014 г. мягкой яровой пшеницы при посеве по двум предшественникам (чистый пар и  зерновые культуры). Материалом для исследований служили сорта, внесенные в Госреестр РФ, и селекционные формы раннеспелого и среднераннего типов созревания, созданные в  различных эколого-климатических условиях. Изучение пластичности проводилось с помощью методик, разработанных Таем и С.А. Эберхартом, В.А. Расселом. В целом годы проведения исследования существенно различались по количеству и равномерности выпадения осадков и температурному режиму, о чем свидетельствуют результаты дисперсионного анализа. Вклад изменчивости, вызванной условиями выращивания, составляет 45,5%, тогда как генотипическая изменчивость и изменчивость, обусловленная фактором В (годы), составляют соответственно 22,08 и 4,53% от общего фенотипического варьирования признака. В то же время высока доля изменчивости, вызванной случайными факторами, которая достигала 22,01%, что, видимо, связано с  агроклиматическими и  агротехническими факторами. Достоверно пластичными оказались раннеспелые сорта, хотя их средняя урожайность за годы исследований была на уровне стандарта. По стабильности можно отметить такие сорта, как Приленская 19, Лютесценс 1034 и Свеча. В результате оценки пластичности и стабильности по двум предшественникам сделан вывод о том, что сорт Памяти Вавенкова достоверно является высокоинтенсивным и стабильным. Сорт Свеча стоит признать стабильным и экономически выгодным

    Linking collisional and accretionary orogens during Rodinia assembly and breakup: Implications for models of supercontinent cycles

    Periodic assembly and dispersal of continental fragments has been a characteristic of the solid Earth for much of its history. Geodynamic drivers of this cyclic activity are inferred to be either top-down processes related to near surface lithospheric stresses at plate boundaries or bottom-up processes related to mantle convection and, in particular, mantle plumes, or some combination of the two. Analysis of the geological history of Rodinian crustal blocks suggests that internal rifting and breakup of the supercontinent were linked to the initiation of subduction and development of accretionary orogens around its periphery. Thus, breakup was a top-down instigated process. The locus of convergence was initially around north-eastern and northern Laurentia in the early Neoproterozoic before extending to outboard of Amazonia and Africa, including Avalonia–Cadomia, and arcs outboard of Siberia and eastern to northern Baltica in the mid-Neoproterozoic (~760 Ma). The duration of subduction around the periphery of Rodinia coincides with the interval of lithospheric extension within the supercontinent, including the opening of the proto-Pacific at ca. 760 Ma and the commencement of rifting in east Laurentia. Final development of passive margin successions around Laurentia, Baltica and Siberia was not completed until the late Neoproterozoic to early Paleozoic (ca. 570–530 Ma), which corresponds with the termination of convergent plate interactions that gave rise to Gondwana and the consequent relocation of subduction zones to the periphery of this supercontinent. The temporal link between external subduction and internal extension suggests that breakup was initiated by a top-down process driven by accretionary tectonics along the periphery of the supercontinent. Plume-related magmatism may be present at specific times and in specific places during breakup but is not the prime driving force. Comparison of the Rodinia record of continental assembly and dispersal with that for Nuna, Gondwana and Pangea suggests grouping into two supercycles in which Nuna and Gondwana underwent only partial or no break-up phase prior to their incorporation into Rodinia and Pangea respectively. It was only after this final phase of assembly that the supercontinents then underwent full dispersal

    Fiber-optic sensors for real-time temperature monitoring in minimally invasive thermo-therapies

    There are various procedures for the tumor removal process, which include surgical procedures and thermal ablation processes. The surgical method is considered as the traditional one; however, the thermal ablation processes are conducted as well. These thermal ablation processes require temperature change monitoring of the area of the tissue, where the heat is applied. In this work, it is suggested to use fiber-optic sensors for temperature change monitoring in minimally invasive thermo-therapies for cancer care. The comparison of fiber-optic sensors, based on the 5-element FBG array, the CFBG, and the OBR, all of which are operating in real-time and suggested to be used for the temperature change monitoring in minimally invasive thermo-therapies for cancer care was provided in this work. The following criteria was used to compare these temperature sensing technologies: spatial resolution, temperature sensing range, hardware setup, time required for temperature change reconstruction and cost. There were experiments conducted in both the laboratory and in the clinical settings. Also, various recommendations and improvements for future experiments were provided as well. Considering the minimal invasiveness, low-cost and operation in real-time, all of the previously mentioned fiber-optic sensors could be used for the given application; however, the CFBG sensor is suggested to be the most suitable one compared to its alternatives, which are the 5-element FBG array and the OBR-based sensors

    Controlling in the management of a regional power grid company

    The tasks of improving the methods and tools of strategic enterprise management determine the relevance of including the controlling mechanism in the process of managing the enterprise's activities. The purpose of the paper is to substantiate the need to use controlling in the process of strategic enterprise management. The authors use general logical methods and research techniques: a systematic approach, generalization, analysis and synthesis. The paper notes the plurality of views of management theorists and practitioners about the essence of controlling and discrepancies in its functional purpose, which entail the problems of organizing and effectively using the controlling mechanism in enterprise management. In this regard, the authors emphasize the view of controlling as a function of strategic management, systematize the list of implemented controlling tasks and factors that predetermine them, indicate the special role and place of controlling as a kind of tool in the analytical mechanism of self-assessment of the effectiveness of the goal-setting and goal-implementing function of enterprise management, the action of which (i.e. tool) is possible with an adjusted feedback model in the control loop. The prerequisites have been identified and a model for the consistent development of controlling in enterprise management has been tested in relation to the object of research - the regional power grid company PJSC “IDGC of North-West”. The result of the first stage of mastering the controlling functionality is the ability to partially relieve the top management of the company from operational and technical issues in favor of preparing and implementing management decisions of a strategic focus and content. The spectrum of orientation of the controlling functional in the management of PJSC “IDGC of North-West” towards achieving tactical and strategic goals for the long-term existence and development of the company is shown. Prospects for further research into the problem of organizing effective controlling are in the development of methodological support for the process of integrating information flows using digital technologies. Scientific novelty lies in the presentation of controlling as a management function that ensures the company’s activities in accordance with plans in the interests of achieving established goals
