    The intention of this research is to examine the usefulness of pictorial book for teaching and learning packaging topic in Visual Art Education (VAE). This research also assesses its effectiveness in the classroom and intrinsic motivation of the students. The pictorial book was developed using ADDIE model supported by Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) – Scaffolding by Lev Vygotsky (1978) and built using the Design Develop Research (DDR) as a research design by considering the design, pedagogical and the contents of its learning material. The PicPack Module was evaluated by two experts during the pre-production and post-production level. One is an expert of VAE content and another one is an expert in pictorial books. After getting consensus from the experts, the research was conducted through Single-Group Post-Test-Only Design upon purposive sampling consisting of one VA teacher and 50 form four VA students with 23 males and 27 females. Students showed positive attitudes toward learning using the PicPack Module. Based on the findings, the development of the PicPack Module is relevant and has its possibilities to be implemented in secondary level of art education in Malaysia

    Digital Parenting; Strengthening Religious Concept Nafs in the Prevention of Child Pornography

    Children of the digital generation are a vulnerable group facing the potential dangers of the internet. Pornography exposure is one of the harmful effects of the internet on children. Parents play a critical role in ensuring their children's safety from cybercrime. This study aimed to explore the role of parents and the problems encountered in strengthening the concept of religious nafs of Al-Ghazali to prevent child pornography through digital parenting. Eight participants were involved in this study. This study was a descriptive qualitative study. The researcher gathered the data in this study through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model that included data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusions. The finding of the study revealed that (1) Parents' method of strengthening religious concept nafs Al-Ghazali for their children was through religious rituals such as praying five times a day, fasting, and religious engagement such as reading the holy Qur'an to prevent child pornography; (2) The role of parents in strengthening religious concept nafs included modeling, controlling, and building attachment; and (3) parental barriers to strengthening religious concept nafs were gadget addiction, parental burnout, and lack of self-disclosure

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil observasi di salah satu SMA Swasta di Kota Bandung yang menunjukan hasil penguasaan konsep siswa pada mata pelajaran biologi tergolong rendah dengan salah satu faktor metode pembelajaran yang digunakan pada saat KBM membuat siswa jenuh dan cenderung pasif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran dengan metode Gallery Walk dalam meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa pada materi sistem imun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Quasi Eksperimental. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Pasundan 8 Bandung pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017, yaitu kelas XI MIPA 1 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 32 siswa. Parameter yang diukur pada penelitian ini ialah penguasaan konsep siswa yaitu pada ranah kognitif. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah test kemampuan yang mengukur ranah kognitif berupa 20 soal pilihan ganda yang disesuaikan dengan pencapaian indikator pembelajaran yang sudah diuji cobakan sebelumnya. Dari hasil penelitian pada kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan metode ceramah didapatkan nilai rata-rata posttest yang diperoleh siswa sebesar 73,13 sedangkan nilai rata-rata posttest yang diperoleh siswa dengan menggunakan metode Gallery Walk adalah 83,28. Sedangkan berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis, siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran menggunakan metode Gallery Walk terlihat lebih menunjukkan perubahan yang cukup besar dilihat dari nilai reratanya. Jika nilai signifikansi atau nilai probabilitas > 0,05, maka Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak. Jika nilai signifikasi atau nilai probabilitas < 0,05 atau = 0,05 maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga tidak terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan pada kedua kelas tersebut. Ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Gallery Walk lebih baik dari pada menggunakan metode ceramah. Maka pembelajaran dengan metode gallery walk tersebut dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa yang terlihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang mengalami peningkatan.     Learning programming via worked-examples: the effects of cognitive load and learning styles

    This research explored strategies for learning programming via worked-examples that promote schema acquisition and transfer. However, learning style is a factor in how much learners are willing to expend serious effort on understanding worked-examples, with active learners tending to be more impatient of them than reflective learners. It was hypothesised that these two learning styles might also interact with learners’ cognitive load. The research proposed a worked-example format, called a Paired-method strategy that combines a Structure-emphasising strategy with a Completion strategy. An experiment was conducted to compare the effects of the three worked-examples strategies on cognitive load measures and on learning performance. The experiment also examined the degree to which individual learning style influenced the learning process and performance. Overall, the results of the experiment were inconsistent. In comparing the effects of the three strategies, there were significant differences in reported difficulty and effort during the learning phase, with difficulty but not effort in favour of the Completion strategy. However no significant differences were detected in reported mental effort during the post-tests in the transfer phase. This was also the case for the performance on the post-tests. Concerning efficiency measures, the results revealed significant differences between the three strategy groups in terms of the learning process and task involvement, with the learning process in favour of the Completion strategy. Unexpectedly, no significant differences were observed in learning outcome efficiencies. Despite this, there was a trend in the data that suggested a partial reversal effect for the Completion strategy. Moreover, the results partially replicated earlier findings on the explanation effect. In comparing the effects of the two learning styles, there were no significant differences between active and reflective learners in the three strategy groups on cognitive load measures and on learning performance (nor between reflective learners in the Paired-method strategy and the other strategies). Finally, concerning efficiency measures, there was a significant difference between active learners in the three strategy groups on task involvement. Despite all these, effect sizes ranging from a medium to large suggested that learning styles might have interacted with learners’ cognitive load

This article is a literature study and applied of nets electricity network optimization using Prims algorithm and Kruskal algorithm. Network Nets System is one type of electrical network system construction. Based on results of the study and discussion can be concluded that the application of greedy algorithm using Prims algorithm and Kruskal algorithm in determine minimum spanning tree on its principle is the same. However, after a comparison between the two algorithms we consider that the ideal algorithm used to optimize the nets electric network is the Kruskal algorithm because in the case of the electric network has few sides and many vertices

    Tidak tersedianya sumber daya alam seperti migas, hasil hutan ataupun industri manufaktur yang berskala besar di pulau Lombok menyebabkan pariwisata telah menjadi sektor andalan dalam pembangunan daerah. Kontribusi sektor pariwisata menunjukkan trend yang semakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Dampak positif pengeluaran wisatawan terhadap perekonomian terdistribusikan ke berbagai sektor. Akan tetapi, pemerinatah daerah umumnya akan melakukan persiapan wisata daerah hanya pada saat even &nbsp;lokal saja. Padahal kunjungan wisatawan bukan hanya karena faktor adanya event lokal saja. Persiapan pemerintah daerah dan pelaku wisata sangat penting untuk meningkatkan stabilitas kunjungan wisatawan. Penelitian ini mengkaji prediksi kunjungan wisatawan dengan pendekatan Recurrent Neural Network Long Short Term Memory (RNN LSTM). LSTM berisi informasi di luar aliran normal dari recurrent nertwork dalam gate cell. Cell membuat keputusan tentang apa yang harus disimpan dan kapan mengizinkan pembacaan, penulisan dan penghapusan, melalui gate yang terbuka dan tertutup. Gate menyampaikan informasi berdasarkan kekuatan yang masuk ke dalamnya dan akan difilter menjadi bobot dari gate itu sendiri. Bobot tersebut sama seperti bobot input dan hidden unit yang disesuaikan melalui proses leraning pada recurrent network. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dengan membangun model prediksi kunjungan wisatawan dengan RNN LSTM menggunakan multi time steps mendapatkan hasil RMSE sebesar 6888.37 pada data training dan 14684.33 pada data testing

    Dalam pelaksanaan promosi hotel The Lombok Lodge, hotel tersebut menerapkan promosi melalui periklanan, promosi penjualan, penjualan pribadi dan pemasaran langsung, dimana periklanan dilakukan melalui katalog, promosi penjualan dilakukan melalui pemberian potongan harga sewa, penjualan pribadi dilakukan melalui agen marketing dan pemasaran langsung dilakukan melalui customer service. Terdapat beberapa metode yang dapat digunakan untuk menganalisis efektivitas bauran promosi berdasarkan dampak komunikasi yang ditimbulkan, yaitu: MMP (Media Mix Planing), CRI (Costomer response index), DRM (Direct rating method) dan EPIC Model.EPIC Model yang digunakan untuk mengukur efektivitas bauran promosi yang mencakup empat dimensi kritis, yaitu: empati (empathy), persuasi (persuasion), dampak (dampak) dan komunikasi (communication).Pada penelitian ini jenis data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif yang dikuantitatifkan.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif eksploratif.Secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan bauran promosi pada hotel The Lombok Lodge telah efektif, terbukti dari hasil analisis EPIC Model secara keseluruhan sebesar 4.01, nilai tersebut masuk dalam rentang skala penilaian 3.41 – 4.20 (Efektif)

Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu agar mahasiswa mampu menggali kemampuan yang dimiliki dalam menyusun berbagai instrumen penelitian sesuai dengan bidang ilmu yang ditekuni. Metode pendekatan yang dilakukan yaitu coaching class. Hasil yang diperoleh melalui pelaksanaan pengabdian ini yaitu pengetahuan tentang pentingnya mengetahui pola penyusunan instrumen penelitian yang pada akhirnya tentu akan meringankan proses penyelesaian berbagai kasus dikehidupan sehari-hari bahkan jurusan masing-masing

    The selection of community service based on religious education, namely the reciting Al-Qur’an activity after performing the Maghrib prayer in Semanding Village, Jenangan District, Ponorogo Regency, is one of the efforts to facilitate children in learning the Al-Qur’an, which has not been available so far. The method used in implementing this community service is asset-based community development (ABCD). The community is the actor and determinant of development efforts in the environment or is often referred to as community-driven development (CDD). In addition to being a place or facility for learning the Al-Qur’an, this activity is expected to continue even after the Community Service Lecture period is over so that children have better Al-Qur’an skills. The positive impact given from the "Maghrib Mengaji" activity is that children are accustomed to reading the Al-Qur’an/volumes after performing the Maghrib prayers. In addition, children who previously had not memorized short letters now have memorized several short letters of Al-Qur’an
