    IMPROVING THE ABILITY OF MATHEMATIC PROBLEM SOLVING, MATHEMATIC CONNECTION AND SELF REGULATED LEARNING WITH JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THROUGH METAKOGNITIVE APPROACH

    This study is a quasi experiment, aiming to describe the level of achievement of problem solving abilities, mathematical connections of students and the independence of junior high school students through metacognitive approach. The sample was chosen randomly from the class of all students of class IX in one of SMP Negeri in Karawang regency. The two class samples were chosen as control and experiment classes. Each of us uses a set of problem solving and mathematical connection tests and a set of learning independence scales. The study found that the attainment and improvement of problem solving ability and mathematical connection ability of students using metacognitive approach is better than the students whose learning is using normal learning in terms of the students' initial ability level. While different from the independence of students who learn learning using metacognitive approach is not better than students who use regular learning in terms of initial ability level of students. However, there is no interaction between the metacognitive approach and the student's initial ability level in generating problem solving skills and mathematical connections as well as learning independence which means that increased problem solving abilities and mathematical connections are largely influenced by the metacognitive approach

    This study was inspired by the younger generation's increasingly worrisome language politeness conduct, which occurs both within and outside of educational settings. For the younger generation, films can be utilized as a tool for teaching language courtesy[1]. In this essay, we will discuss how politeness and impoliteness are depicted in the movie Bilal: A New Breed of Hero. The descriptive qualitative research method is being used in this study. The 60 utterances that made up the research sample were chosen at random and included declarative phrases, imperatives, prohibitions, and apologies. The politeness theory of Leech was used to assess the data. Bilal Movie: A New Breed of Hero, the study's output, employs every perspective politeness maxim. The maxim of knowledge (33.3%) and the maxim of praise (0.6%) are the maxims that are most frequently used in this movie, the maxim of sympathy (10 %) and the maxim of generosity (8.3%)

    Memilih media pembelajaran yang tepat penting sekali untuk membantu para guru menyampaikan pesan/pelajaran kepada para siswa. Namun sebelum memilih menggunakan media apa, seorang guru perlu mempetimbangkan beberapa aspek atau tahapan sehingga betul-betul sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa, salah satunya menggunakan model ASSURE. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengimplementasian model ASSURE dalam pemanfaatan media pembelajaran bahasa Arab di MTSS Istiqlal. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara. Dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab kelas VII di MTSS Istiqlal, guru menggunakan sejumlah media pembelajaran seperti media Zoom, Power Point, Quizziz, Padlet, Google Classroom, Google Form, aplikasi game bahasa Arab Secil, aplikasi Jeruq yang dikolaborasikan dengan beberapa metode pembelajan diantaranya SQ3R, VAK, time token, role playing, think-pair-share, SFE. Penggunaan ragam media dan metode pembelajaran membantu guru untuk mencapai tujuan dalam kompetensi siswa yang ingin dicapai. Tentunya penggunaan ragam media dan metode tersebut didasari oleh penerapan model ASSURE

    PERTUMBUHAN, KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP, DAN PERFORMA PRODUKSI UDANG GALAH, Macrobrachium rosenbergii HASIL SELEKSI PADA TIGA SEGMEN BUDIDAYA

    Pertumbuhan lambat dan maturasi dini merupakan permasalahan serius pada budidaya udang galah karena berdampak pada penurunan produktivitas budidayanya. Seleksi secara simultan pada karakter panjang standar (PS) dan level maturasi (LM) calon induk udang galah betina telah dilakukan dengan tujuan mendapatkan udang galah generasi ketiga (G-3) dengan performa tumbuh cepat dan maturasi lambat. Evaluasi performa benih populasi seleksi (PSL) dan kontrol (PKT), dilakukan pada tiga fase budidaya udang galah, yaitu fase pemeliharaan larva, pendederan, dan pembesaran. Fase pembenihan diperoleh indeks perkembangan larva (IPL) dan kelangsungan hidup (KH) yang lebih baik pada populasi PSL (9,63 ± 0,91 dan 59,43 ± 9,2%), dibandingkan pada PKT (8,73 ± 0,72 dan 39,64 ± 8,4%). Fase pendederan diperoleh PS, bobot badan (BB) dan KH sebesar 19,98 ± 2,95 mm; 0,22 ± 0,10 g; dan 87,27 ± 6,70% untuk PSL, lebih baik dibandingkan pada PKT; (18,70 ± 2,72 mm; 0,20 ± 0,09 g; dan 74,55 ± 5,4%). Fase pembesaran, PSL juga menunjukkan keunggulan, dengan PS, BB, dan KH sebesar 68,65 ± 8,11 mm; 15,82 ± 5,67 g; dan 70,5 ± 1,33% lebih tinggi dibandingkan PKT; 66,97 ± 9,72 mm dan 14,73 ± 6,86 g; dan 62,8 ± 18,44%. Level maturitas induk betina pada PSL juga lebih rendah (1,45 ± 0,77) dibandingkan pada PKT (1,52 ± 0,94). Data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa seleksi individu secara simultan pada karakter PS dan LM efektif meningkatkan performa pertumbuhan dan produktivitas udang galah.Slow growth and early maturation are serious challenges in the giant freshwater prawn (GFP) farming. The simultaneous selection based on standard length (SL) and maturation level (ML) characters of the female giant prawns was carried out to produce the GFP strain (3th generation) which had higher productivity. The evaluation of the selection seed (PSL) and the control (PKT) populations was carried out in three phases of the GFP farming, namely the hatchery phase (larval rearing), the nursery, and the grow-out. In the hatchery phase, the larval development index and survival (SR) of the PSL were higher (9.63 ± 0.91 and 59.43 ± 9.2%) than that of the PKT (73 ± 0.72 and 39.64 ± 8.4%). In the nursery phase, PS, body weight (BW) and SR of the PSL were 19.98 ± 2.95 mm; 0.22 ± 0.10 g; 87.27 ± 6.70%. They were higher than that of the PKT, there were 18.70 ± 2.72 mm; 0.22 ± 0.09 g; and 74.55 ± 5.4%. In the grow-out phase, the performance of the PSL on PS, BW, and SR were also better, 68.65 ± 8.11 mm; 15.82 ± 5.67 g; 70.5 ± 1.33% than that of PKT, 66.97 ± 9.72 mm and 14.73 ± 6.86 g; 62.8 ± 18.44%. The maturity level of female prawns in PSL was also lower (1.45 ± 0.77) than that of PKT (1.52 ± 0.94). Based on these data, it can be concluded that simultaneous individual selection on PS and ML characters is effective to improve the growth performance and productivity of the GFP

    High resolution of marine seismic reflaction seismic were used to detect the layers of seafloor sediment and to intrerpret seismic data geologically. The objectives of this study weres to identify occurrences of granite rock in the waters of South Singkep. Acquisition data was held located beetwen 1040 15' 00" - 1040 31' 32" E and 00 30' 00" - 00 46' 23" S. Several method used to process the data were Band Pass Filter, Automatic Gain Control (AGC), and predictive deconvolution. Identification of the presence of granite rocks on seismic cross sections of each track is shown in the form of hills after valleys and granite rock is most likely present in A runs, which is a rock that has a granitic nature, and that penetrates to the water column or so-called intrusive rocks

    Abstract: This research confirms that the language style used in the narratives of Alquran is theistic style, which varies depending on the context and the theme as well as the contemporary relevance. This research aims to (a) describe the style of Noah’s narrative in Alquran; (b) describe the stylistics of the elements forming the dialogues of Prophet Noah’s narrative; and (c) uncover as well as describe the meaning and the impression of Quranic dialgues in the narrative of Prophet Noah.This study is qualitative research. Meanwhile, based on the object of the study and thegoal to obtain, this study belongs to library research assessed with content analysis. Thus, this study focuses on literary data sources, namely all kinds of documents or other written sources, such as scientific books, journals, acrhives, private documents, and other written articles.Based on the findings and the analysis, it is concluded that (1) Noah’s narrative is presented in various surahs to show the authenticity and peculiarity of Quranic uslub; (2) the diction and the coresponding placement of the words are appropriate and varied, and the uslub described are also varied; and (3) the narrative described offers great significance and deep impression to strengthen the tauhid, patience, the fight between right and wrong, and severe punishments subjected to unbelievers.     PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR DIGITAL DI ERA REVOLUSI INDUSTRI 4.0 BAGI GURU BAHASA ARAB DI KABUPATEN SUBANG

    Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah melatih guru bahasa Arab dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik peserta didik, menganalisis kebutuhan bahan ajar digital, serta membuat bahan ajar digital yang mudah diakses peserta didik dalam pembelajaran online maupun offline. Harapannya, kegiatan ini akan memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi para guru bahasa Arab di Kabupaten Subang, memungkinkan mereka untuk menciptakan bahan ajar yang relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di sekolah masing-masing. Kegiatan ini menggunakan berbagai metode untuk mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan seperti) analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar digital, diskusi terpumpun hasil analisis kebutuhan; merumuskan jenis bahan ajar digital; pelatihan dan workshop pembuatan bahan ajar digital; pendampingan workshop; evaluasi produk; dan pemberian feedback. Sebelum pelatihan dan workshop, hanya 45% guru yang mengenal bahan ajar digital, sementara tidak ada yang pernah membuatnya selama karier mereka. Dibutuhkan pendampingan berkala dalam pembuatan bahan ajar digital. Namun, pelatihan ini membantu guru-guru mengatasi kekurangan tersebut. Mereka mempelajari analisis kebutuhan untuk menciptakan bahan ajar digital yang sesuai dengan peserta didik dan kondisi saat ini. Guru-guru menjadi lebih siap dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran, baik secara daring maupun luring, meningkatkan kompetensi mereka, dan memungkinkan mereka memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran yang lebih baik kepada peserta didik. Pelatihan ini memberikan persiapan yang diperlukan untuk menghadapi perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran

    In Arabic learning, the majority of university in Indonesia would ignore the study of Ushul Nahwi and emphasize on Arabic language skills development. This study presented the results and analysis about the implementation of Ushul Nahwi learning during Covid-19 outbreak in Arabic Education Study Program at one of the well-known universities in Indonesia. The research data was obtained from observation, interview and documentation. Observations was made directly and interview was conducted by interviewing 20 student teachers majoring Arabic education and 2 Ushul Nahwi lecturers in one of the universities in Bandung. In addition, documentation was done by collecting Ushul Nahwi learning plans and some photos during Ushul Nahwi learning. The results have shown that: 1) The components of Ushul Nahwi lesson plan for university consist of learning objectives, description for studying the origins of grammar, description of the subject, references or bibliography, and evaluation. 2) Implementation of Ushul Nahwi for Arabic Education Study Program is by using Zoom Meetings, Google Classroom, and Whatsapp. In Ushul Nahwi learning, five learning steps are applied at the 2nd to 12th meetings. 3) The strengths and weaknesses of Ushul Nahwi implementation in Covid-19 outbreak. The learning system has the advantage of facilitating students in the learning process. Thus, the weakness was caused by various problem during the process of learning and after the activity.  These results are hopefuly useful as an illustration of the virtual Ushul Nahwi learning process and become a reference for the next researchers

    Is Historical Study of Nahwu on Madrasah Basra and Kufa Important to Teach? The Analysis of Opinion on Indonesian AFL Students

    The knowledge of nahwu has been taught in many universities in Indonesia. However, the study of the nahwu taught is still limited to a study oriented to the science of tools in learning Arabic and ignores historical, theoretical aspects such as Madrasah Basra and Kufa. Therefore, this study aims to prove whether this historical, academic study is essential to be taught to Indonesian AFL students. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The questionnaire was given to several 20 fifth-semester AFL students with three open-ended questions about their knowledge of Madrasah Basra and Kufa. The results of this study indicate that 60% of students are familiar with Madrasah Basrah and Kufa. Most of them hear about Madrasah Basrah and Kufa for the first time in college (75%), in pesantren (8.3%), on the internet (8.3%), at high school (8.3%), and from the sermon (8.3%.). Moreover, the students generally know about Madrasah Basrah and Kufa's differences, but it is only limited to the differences in terms and I'rab. Therefore, the learning of nahwu needs to be developed by paying attention to the historical aspects of the nahwu development, especially the differences from Madrasah Basrah and Kufa
