Globale Sichtbarkeitsalgorithmen
This article examines the reception in France of a model developed in Quebec for integrating services to the elderly who are losing their ability to cope on their own. The study analyses the implementation of three pilot projects in France. A study of receptiveness reveals clearly the feasibility conditions for upgrading a system of health and social services. From a neo-institutionalist perspective, the article seeks to understand how the capacity to innovate is deployed in a given system. It consists of three parts. The first outlines the problem of integration, the second examines the evolution of the French system of health and social services, and the third describes the reception of an integration model, using a neo-institutional perspective. The receptiveness analysis reveals a tension between two attitudes toward public policy in France when it comes to integrating services : one that favours a reduction in system complexity and another that fosters it

The Strategic Planning Process: A Mixed Methods Examination of the Process as an Antidote to Promote Sustainability and Prevent the Extinction of Startup Nonprofits
The nonprofit sector plays an intricate role in today’s economy and communities nationwide. Nonprofits employ over 12 million people in the United States and provide over 1 trillion to the national economy. These contributions affirm the necessity for nonprofit existence. There is a sense of urgency to address this problem, as nonprofit dissolution has been increasing steadily since the pandemic began and spiked 30% during January 2022 compared to January 2021 (Delaney & O’Leary, 2022). “While competition amongst and the resulting exit of for-profit businesses have been studied, the exit of nonprofit organizations has been less studied and is not well understood, research is fragmented and sparse” (Yurenka, 2009, p. 1). The research gap led me to engage in this study and to seek an answer to my hypothesis, “Can strategic planning decrease nonprofit dissolutions and increase long-term sustainability for startup nonprofits?” A mixed methods approach using a sequential explanatory design was used to examine if strategic planning was a viable option for startup nonprofits to incorporate as a practice to achieve long-term sustainability. A startup nonprofit located in the southeastern region of the United States was the study site for this dissertation. The findings revealed that strategic planning is a viable option that can increase the possibility of startup nonprofits attaining longevity. The findings also identified the importance of human capital, organizational readiness, and board selection and development as crucial elements to successfully implement the strategic planning process cycle
Associations between hippocampal morphometry and neuropathologic markers of Alzheimer's disease using 7 T MRI
Hippocampal atrophy, amyloid plaques, and neurofibrillary tangles are established pathologic markers of Alzheimer's disease. We analyzed the temporal lobes of 9 Alzheimer's dementia (AD) and 7 cognitively normal (NC) subjects. Brains were scanned post-mortem at 7 Tesla. We extracted hippocampal volumes and radial distances using automated segmentation techniques. Hippocampal slices were stained for amyloid beta (Aβ), tau, and cresyl violet to evaluate neuronal counts. The hippocampal subfields, CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4, and subiculum were manually traced so that the neuronal counts, Aβ, and tau burden could be obtained for each region. We used linear regression to detect associations between hippocampal atrophy in 3D, clinical diagnosis and total as well as subfield pathology burden measures. As expected, we found significant correlations between hippocampal radial distance and mean neuronal count, as well as diagnosis. There were subfield specific associations between hippocampal radial distance and tau in CA2, and cresyl violet neuronal counts in CA1 and subiculum. These results provide further validation for the European Alzheimer's Disease Consortium Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative Center Harmonized Hippocampal Segmentation Protocol (HarP)
Differences in Saintly Attributes Across Renaissance Italy
Even though saints can have the same attribute across different images of them, they can change appearance based on an artist's choice and the region where the piece was made. Using Saint Catherine of Siena, Saint Christopher, Saint James, and Saint Lucy as examples, alongside George Kaftal's Iconography of the Saints volumes, this paper explores the reasons as to why attributes change (or do not change) and where they occur.Purchase College SUNYArt HistoryBachelor of ArtsKaplan, Paul H
