IMPACT OF TRANSPOSING THE STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES ON SUPPLY EFFICIENCY
Performance measurement is the basis of management with regard to controlling activities of an enterprise. Development of appropriate indicators and measurement techniques lead to many problems. The majority of enterprises begin to evaluate the efficiency, by the implementation of financial indicators that are practically incalculable. Only at a later stage, are measures used that are related to the specific problems and priorities of the process at the operational level. As a result, in most cases there is an inconsistency or it is almost impossible to manage the measurement system, which can lead to the opposite of the desired effect, and hence to a deterioration of efficiency. In order to create a coherent system of performance measures, the cause and effect at different levels of business management need to be linked. Controlling activities which are aimed at ensuring enterprise efficiency in terms of assumed goals can be helpful. The close link between strategic and operational levels enables deviation analysis of individual values of the plan at the tactical level and operational level. The compatibility of activities is evaluated on the basis of identifying strategic objectives that need to be transposed to the operational level. This article presents the problem of transposing the strategic objectives of the supply process to performance measures at the operational level and proposal of an indicator system of supply efficiency at the operational level. The main research problem of this article is to propose and develop a system of indicators and metrics of evaluation efficiency in the supply process
Ultra-stable long distance optical frequency distribution using the Internet fiber network
We report an optical link of 540 km for ultrastable frequency distribution
over the Internet fiber network. The stable frequency optical signal is
processed enabling uninterrupted propagation on both directions. The robustness
and the performance of the link are enhanced by a cost effective fully
automated optoelectronic station. This device is able to coherently regenerate
the return optical signal with a heterodyne optical phase locking of a low
noise laser diode. Moreover the incoming signal polarization variation are
tracked and processed in order to maintain beat note amplitudes within the
operation range. Stable fibered optical interferometer enables optical
detection of the link round trip phase signal. The phase-noise compensated link
shows a fractional frequency instability in 10 Hz bandwidth of 5x10-15 at one
second measurement time and 2x10-19 at 30 000 s. This work is a significant
step towards a sustainable wide area ultrastable optical frequency distribution
and comparison network
NEAT-FT: the European fiber link collaboration
The development of clocks based on optical transitions during the past three decades culminates in the availability of optical clocks with unprecedented stability and uncertainty . Simultaneously, increasing requirements for accurate time and frequency signals, e.g. for tests of fundamental physics or novel applications in relativistic geodesy, put forward new challenges. Typically, such applications rely on the comparison of two remote clocks. Thus, major challenges are how to synchronize these clocks over long distances or how to get the time or frequency signal of a clock to the location where it is required. It is generally agreed that optical fiber links are an excellent alternative to established satellite based distant clock comparison and synchronization techniques. A European joint research project called Network for European Accurate Time and Frequency Transfer (NEAT-FT) has been initiated in 2011 to lay the foundations for a novel approach to disseminate high-precision timing and ultrastable frequency signals by using existing fiber infrastructure. Since Europe has a large number of modern ultra-precise clocks, special emphasis is put on the development of new techniques for time transfer and phase-coherent comparison of remotely located optical clocks and the feasibility of a European fibre network connecting optical clocks in Europe. This talk highlights recent achievements and discusses some applications and prospects
The concept of computer software designed to identify and analyse logistics costs in agricultural enterprises
Przeprowadzono prace badawcze, rozwojowe i programistyczne dotyczące opracowania koncepcji narzędzia informatycznego, służącego do identyfikacji i analizy kosztów logistyki w przedsiębiorstwach rolnych w ujęciu procesualnym. W wyniku tych prac stworzono ogólną koncepcję funkcjonalno-informatyczną oprogramowania, przeznaczonego do identyfikacji i analizy kosztów logistyki dla przedsiębiorstw rolnych.The study comprised research, development and computer programming works concerning the development of a concept for the IT tool to be used in the identifica-tion and analysis of logistics costs in agricultural enterprises in terms of the process-based approach. As a result of research and programming work an overall functional and IT concept of software was developed for the identification and analysis of logistics costs for agricultural enterprises
