Kemampuan Membaca Pemahaman Mahasiswa
This research aims to determine a relationship between structure and derivation mastery and reading comprehension ability, either separately or simultaneously. This research was conducted in Surakarta. The population was the students of Elementary School Teacher Education, Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) UNS, and the samples were 60 students taken by random technique. The instrument for collecting data was achievement tests, whereas the technique analysis for analyzing the data was the statistical technique of regression and correlation. The result of analysis shows that there is positive correlation between structure and derivation mastery and reading comprehensions ability, either separately or simultaneously
PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MULTIMEDIA DAN MEDIA GAMBAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SD
Abstract: The influence of effect Multimedia and Picture Media. This research find: (1)
achievement difference with use multimedia and picture media, (2) achievement difference between
student group which high motivation and student group which low motivation, (3) effect interaction
between learning using multimedia with study motivation acheivement. This research use experiment
method. Finding of this research show that: (1) there is difference achievement between learning with use
multimedia and picture media. (2) there is difference achievement between high motivation student group
with low motivation, (3) there is no effect interaction multimedia and use picture media achievement.

data menunjukkan bahwa: (1) adanya perbedaan hasil belajar antara pembelajaran yang menggunakan
Multimedia dengan pembelajaran yang menggunakan Media Gambar, (2) adanya perbedaan hasil belajar
antara kelompok siswa motivasi tinggi dengan kelompok siswa motivasi rendah, (3) tidak terdapat
interaksi pengaruh pembelajaran Multimedia dan Media Gambar, dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil
belajar.

PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP LEMBAGA-LEMBAGA PEMERINTAHAN PUSAT MENGGUNAKAN
Abstract: The purpose of this research was to improved ability understanding concept of central goverment institute and quality of learning process civic education about central government institute in four grade SDN Doho II by applying Snowball Drilling method. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) it conducted in two cycles. The technique to collection data is observation, questionnaire, interviews, test, and analysis document. The techniques of analysis data used analytical interactive model that consist of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The result of research was indicated by used Snowball Drilling method can improved ability understanding concept and quality of learning process civic education of central government institute.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kualitas proses pembelajaran PKn materi Lembaga Pemerintahan Pusat pada siswa kelas IV SDN Doho II melalui penerapan metode Snowball Drilling. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara, tes, dan analisis dokumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis model interaktif yang terdiri dari tiga komponen, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan metode Snowball Drilling dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan kualitas proses pembelajaran PKn materi Lembaga Pemerintahan Tingkat Pusat.

PENGARUH MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KONSEP BANGUN RUANG
Abstract: The purpose of this research was to test the differences of student’s mathematical ability in application of concept geometrical between students taught with cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and students taught with conventional model at fifth grade of elementary school. This research is use of quasi-experimental studies (Quasi-Experimental Research) using the “Randomized Control Group Pretest Posttest Posttest Design”. The research population is all fifth grade students in the second semester of Elementary School in Jatiyoso Sub-District 2012/2013 year academic. Sampling technique is “Cluster Random Sampling”. Data collection techniques of ability in application of geometrical concept is using the test. And techniques of data analysis using t-test. The conclusion of this study is student’s ability in application of geometrical concept taught with cooperative learning model type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) is better than student’s taught with cooperative learning model. (tcount > ttable = 5,0667 > 2,0110).
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji ada tidaknya pengaruh perbedaan kemampuan penerapan konsep bangun ruang antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran koopertaif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dan siswa yang diajar dengan model konvensional terhadap siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental semu (Quasi-Experimental Research) menggunakan rancangan “Randomized Control Groub Pretest Posttest Design”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V semester genap SDN se-Kecamatan Jatiyoso tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan ”Cluster Random Sampling”. Teknik pengumpulan data kemampuan penerapan konsep bangun ruang menggunakan tes. Dan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah kemampuan penerapan konsep bangun ruang siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) lebih baik dari pada siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (thitung > ttabel = 5,0667 > 2,0110).

PENGARUH MODEL CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA MATERI GAYA
Abstract: The purpose of research was to determine whether differences in outcomes exist and material science learning styles on students who are taught by contextual teaching and learning model with conventional learning model. This research employed a experimental method. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The data collected was test method the sample of research consisted of 60 students, the control group numbered 37 students using the conventional model and the experimental group was 23 students using contextual teaching and learning model. Based on data analysis results showed that tcount > ttable (4,575 > 2,000), so H0 is rejected. This means that there are differences in learning outcomes are taught using contextual teaching and learning model and the conventional model. The conclusions of research was that the result material style science with contextual teaching and learning model is better than the conventional model.
Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada dan tidaknya perbedaan hasil belajar IPA materi gaya pada siswa yang diajar dengan model contextual teaching and learning dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara cluster random sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa, kelompok kontrol berjumlah 37 siswa dengan menggunakan model konvensional dan kelompok eksperimen berjumlah 23 siswa dengan menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel (4,575 > 2,000), sehingga H0 ditolak. Hal ini berarti ada perbedaan hasil belajar yang diajar dengan menggunakan model contextual teaching and learning dan model konvensional. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah hasil IPA materi gaya dengan model contextual teaching and learning lebih baik dibandingkan menggunakan model konvensional.

The Effect of the Contextual, The Problem-Based, and the Group Investigation Learning Models on the Short Story Appreciation Ability Viewed from the Verbal Linguistic Intelligences
The objectives of this research are investigate: whether or not there is a difference in the short story appreciation ability among the groups of students instructed with the contextual teaching and learning (CTL), the problem-based learning (PBL), and the group investigation learning (GI) models; whether or not there is a difference in the short story appreciation ability between the students with the high verbal linguistic intelligence and those with the low verbal linguistic intelligence; and whether or not there is an interaction of effect between the learning models and the verbal linguistic intelligences on the short story appreciation ability. This research used the experimental research method with the factorial design of 3x2. Manipulations were done to the variables of the learning models. The experimental groups were exposed to special treatments; the group was instructed with the Contextual Teaching and Learning, problem-based learning, and GI models. The experimental groups also differentiated into the students with the high linguistic verbal intelligence and those with the low verbal linguistic intelligence. The population of the research was the students in Grade V of Nationally Standardized Primary Schools of the Office of Education and Culture of Central Java province in Academic Year 2011/2012. The samples of the research were the students in Grade V of 15 Primary Schools in five regencies/cities as many as 530 students. The samples of the research were taken by using the multi stage area random sampling technique. The data of the short story appreciation ability as well as those of the linguistic verbal intelligences were collected through tests. The data were validated by using expert judgment, and their reliability was tested by using Kuder –Richardson (KR-20)’s formula. They were then presented tables and graphs and analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance.  1 The results of the research are as follows. 1) The short story appreciation ability of the students instructed with the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model is better than that of the students instructed with the problem-based learning (PBL) model and that of the students instructed with the GI model. In addition, the short story appreciation ability of the students instructed with the PBL model is as good as that of the students instructed with the GI model. 2) The short story appreciation ability of the students with the high linguistic verbal intelligence is better than that of the students with the low linguistic verbal intelligence. 3) There is an interaction between the learning models and the linguistic verbal intelligences. The short story appreciation ability of the students with the high linguistic verbal intelligence instructed with the CTL model (A3B2) is better than both those instructed with the PBL model (A2B2) and those instructed with the GI model (A1B2). In addition, the short story appreciation ability of the students with the low linguistic verbal intelligence instructed with the PBL model (A2B1) is as good as that of the students instructed with the GI model (A1B1). Pengaruh Metode Mengajar Inquiry dan Minat Membaca Terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Cerita Pendek Siswa Kelas XI SMA Negeri Sekota Samarinda
This research aims to find out the difference between teaching inquiry methods and teaching methods of two stay two strays; differences of students who have high and low interest in reading; as well as the interaction between teaching methods and reading interest in the ability to write short stories. The research method is a 2x2 factorial design experiment research, with the research population of all students of Samarinda City State High School. Research data is obtained through tests of writing short stories and reading interest questionnaires. Based on the analysis of data obtained results, there is a difference between students with teaching method inquiry and two stay two stray from the statistical results Fh = 21.57 > Ft = 4.01; there is a difference in ability between students interested in high reading and low reading interest with statistical results Fh = 15.12 > Ft = 4.01; There is an interaction between teaching methods and reading interest in short story writing skills with statistical results Fh = 6.41 > Ft = 4.01. The conclusion of this study is: the method of teaching inquiry is better than two stay two strays; high reading interest is better than low reading interest; there is also an interaction between teaching inquiry methods and reading interest in short story writing skills
The Representation of Character Education Values in the Novel Dasamuka By Junaedi Setiyono
This study aims to describe and explain the value of character education in a novel entitled Dasamuka written by Junaedi Setiyono. The model of the research is content analysis. The data analysis technique used in this research is an interactive analysis model. The method used for validating the data is the triangulation method by recording the document. The values of character education that can be learned from the novel Dasamuka are responsibility, tolerance, hard work, religiosity, and social care.

PENGARUH METODE PEMBELAJARAN SQ3R TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA INTENSIF
Abstract : The purpose of this research is to verify whether there is difference of students intensive reading ability between that is used SQ3R learning method and direct learning method. This research was quantitative research with quasi experimental method using control group pretest-posttest design. The population of this research was all of the fourth grade students in the Elementary School of Colomadu sub district in the academic year of 2013. Cluster random sampling technique was used to take the sample. The researcher used test to collect the data. Pre-requirement test and hypothesis test was used to analyze the data. The conclusion of this research is that students intensive reading ability who are taught by SQ3R learning method is better than they are taught by direct learning method.
Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada-tidaknya perbedaan kemampuan membaca intensif siswa antara yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran SQ3R dan metode pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis eksperimen dengan menggunakan eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design). Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah control group pretest-posttest. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Colomadu tahun 2013. Cluster random sampling digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel. Peneliti menggunakan tes untuk mengumpulkan data. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi uji prasyarat analisis data dan uji hipotesis. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kemampuan membaca intensif siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran SQ3R lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kemampuan membaca intensif siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode pem-belajaran langsung.
