    Perdas na produção de soja brasileira : uma análise do ponto de vista da estratégia de rede de suprimentos enxuta

A produção de soja possui fatores de desperdícios que precisam ser analisados e eliminados pelos produtores na tentativa de reduzir custos e aumentar a competitividade no mercado. Entretanto, a análise das perdas na fase produtiva requer um levantamento dos fatores, bem como suas possíveis causas. As estratégias de rede de suprimentos podem ser uma alternativa para o produtor rural entender melhor a cadeia produtiva, na qual se encontra inserido e buscar soluções viáveis que minimizem esses impactos tanto da produção quanto da falta de logística adequada. Isto poderá ser uma forma de agregar valor ao produto, ligado a maximização dos benefícios que o produto pode oferecer ao consumidor, partindo da premissa que a percepção de valor para os consumidores variam de acordo com as expectativas de cada um; logo o produtor deve estudar sua rede e verificar se esta tem capacidade de atender o mercado. Agregar valor através da rede gera mais vantagem competitiva do que atuar isoladamente. Dessa maneira este trabalho pretende analisar o impacto dessas perdas na produção de soja e como a rede de suprimento enxuta pode agregar valor a cadeia produtiva, a tornando competitiva no mercado, através da eliminação dos desperdícios.Abstract : The productive soybean chain shows several stages interconnected by logistics of transportation operations and among them, the production. Soybeans production has many factors of waste that needs to be analyzed and eliminated by producers in an attempt to reduce costs and increase competitiveness in the market. However, loss analysis in productive stage requires a survey these factors, as well as their possible causes. Supply network strategies may be an alternative for rural producers to understand all soybean supply chain where it is inserted and the search for viable solutions that minimize these impacts both production and miss in a to appropriate logistics. This could be a way to add value in goods, connected to maximization the benefits from goods can offer to consumers, based on premise that the value perception from the consumers change to according expectations of each one; so the producer must study their network and check if it has capacity to respond the market. Adding value through the soybean supply net may create more advantage competitive than act in isolation.     Perspectiva do impacto da blockchain em empresas do setor de alimentos: multicasos

    Purpose: Analysis of food company managers’ perceptions of the need for a technological change and the managerial aspects considered most important. Originality/value: The study highlighted the need to apply technology for food supply integration chain to improve internal and external processes and identified the aspects that contribute the most to business growth. Methods: The research is exploratory with a quantitative approach. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection. To analyze possible decision making about implementing blockchain technology by supply chain managers, we adopted Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) – a multicriteria analysis method. Results: It was observed that the best decision making would be an implementation of the blockchain (50.08%) or other technologies (34.94%) to achieve a better corporate performance. In addition, among the evaluated criteria, operational efficiency was considered the most important to managers, followed by technology, level of logistics service, quality, sustainability, and cost. Conclusion: It was found that regardless of a company’s size, there was a consensus among managers about the need for technological changes in their companies to keep up with market trends.Objetivo: Análise a percepção dos gestores de empresas de alimentos em relação a necessidade de mudanças tecnológicas e os aspectos gerenciais considerados mais importantes. Originalidade/valor: O trabalho evidenciou a necessidade de aplicação de tecnologia pela cadeia produtiva de alimentos para melhoria dos processos internos e externos, e identificou os critérios que mais contribuem para os avanços empresariais. Método: Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória com abordagem quantitativa. Foi aplicado um questionário estruturado para levantamento de dados, e para analisar a possível tomada de decisão sobre a implementação da tecnologia blockchain pelos gestores da cadeia de suprimentos foi adotado o Método de Análise Multicritério – AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process). Resultados: Foi evidenciado que a melhor tomada de decisão, seria a implementação da blockchain (50,08%), ou de outras tecnologias (34,94%), com vistas ao alcance de melhor performance corporativa. Além disso, dentre os critérios avaliados, a eficiência operacional foi considerada o mais importante na visão os gestores, seguido por tecnologia, nível de serviço logístico, qualidade, sustentabilidade e custo. Conclusão: Constatou-se que independentemente do porte da empresa, ocorreu um consenso entre os gestores sobre a necessidade de mudanças tecnológicas em suas empresas, para acompanhar as tendências de mercado

    In view of the significant number of truck routes that travel in important avenues of the city of São Paulo, especially those that carry dangerous cargoes, it is of crucial importance the inspection of these vehicles in order to verify their conditions and adjustments to the current safety standards. This paper aims to investigate the inspections and accidents that took place in the period that covers the years 2012 to 2017, and the data collected in the CET database. After calculations based on Pearson's linear correlation and simple linear regression (calculations made from the variables of inspection and accident), it has been verified the correlation between the variables and the formula of the regression line was obtained. In the end, with the data collected and the results obtained, being restricted to those; it was considered that the number of inspections impacts on the amount of accidents, at a discrete level

    A logística basicamente deve ser vista sob dois aspectos fundamentais: ambiental (estratégico) e organizacional (Gestão). A crescente importância da logística reversa ao longo dos anos diferenciam estratégias de reciclagem, ciclo de produto e reiteração do produto ao fabricante, através da aplicação dos 3R’s. Assim, este trabalho tem como objetivo esclarecer e aprimorar a junção da logística reversa com o meio ambiente mostrando que educação pode ser o essencial uma empresa inserir sustentabilidade em seu lema. Ao longo do estudo de caso na Coopermiti, empresa especializada em logística reversa e manufatura reversa de equipamentos eletrônicos, mostrar que consciência empresarial, alinhado à parceria com a sociedade, pode trazer mudanças e melhorarias ao meio ambiente.     Food exports from Brazil to the United Kingdom: An exploratory analysis of COVID-19 impact on trade

    Brazil and the UK have been strategic partners throughout the years. While the former has traded minerals and food products – mainly agricultural commodities – the latter has been critical to infrastructure development in the South American country. However, the Crisis of COVID-19 Pandemic altered the scenario of international food production and distribution. This article aims to analyse Brazilian food exports to the UK in 2019 and 2020 to identify the impact of COVID-19 on the trade flows. To do so, we collected data from the Brazilian Ministry of Economy regarding the exports between the two nations and performed an exploratory investigation using graphical and quantitative analysis. The results suggest that the Pandemic crisis rose Brazilian exports of cereal and grains to the UK by around 50%, and the shortage of these items in the internal market has increased consumer prices by more than 60% during 202

    Configurations of tire pressure on the pavement for commercial vehicles: calculation of the ‘n’ number and the consequences on pavement performance

    Road traffic has a high variety of types of vehicles and cargo transported. One of the main difficulties in pavement design is forecasting the changes in traffic over time and evaluating the comparative deterioration power of the various loads with axle and tire settings and different levels of repetition. The road environment in Brazil, as we know, is the main means of the country's cargo transportation. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s the road modal accounted for over 60% of the total cargo transported in the country leaving the unbalanced Brazilian transport matrix with almost exclusive investments in such means of transportation. According to CNT 2012, which conducted a survey in approximately 45% of the paved network, evaluating the pavement functional conditions, traffic signs and geometry, 46% of the country’s road network has some type of deficiency in the pavement. The goal of this work is to contribute to a better understanding of the complex influence of traffic in the design and service life of the pavement. The load pressure of commercial vehicle tires over the pavement has increased in recent decades. A more apparent effect of this increase in tire pressure would be the change in the pavement- tire contact area which in turn may result in an increase in the contact load between tire and pavement and other harmful effects on the structure. This study aims to determine the effect on the calculation of the N number, or the number of solicitations of the standard axle on the road pavement, measuring the overload as a percentage of the legal load indicated by a scale. In short, we calculate how an increase in the overload percentage in comparison with the allowable load will influence the decrease of the calculated durability of the pavement designed for the highway

    Evaluating the implementation of quality management systems in supply networks in Brazil

    The development of relationships between organizations through Supply Chain Management, with a view to delivering products and services and consumers has led quality management to go beyond the boundaries of the individual firm and thus spread to the various network actors in which the organization is involved. This has been called Supply Chain Quality Management (SCQM) and consists in developing a quality policy applicable to the whole supply chain. Quality management systems have been successfully implemented within individual companies, but how has this actually affected suppliers, within SCM? This paper conducted a survey in thirteen companies operating in Brazil to assess the effectiveness of SCQM. The results show that companies are still very concerned about quality within their individual companies and ensuring quality from their suppliers still involves performance indicators and depends on the availability of suppliers for each item required
