University Students’ Learning Disruption and Affordance in a Contested Learning Environment
This study investigates how university students engage with their learning affordances in a contested environment due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This qualitative research employed a case study approach involving 136 participants. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative analysis as a circular process to describe, classify, and perceive the phenomenon and how the learning, affordances, and society were interconnected. The main framework of the research was the theory of affordance and how it was available for university students in their learning environment that changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected in the first semester of 2020 through an online survey on Google form. The findings indicate the importance of the social environment to provide affordance for the students to adjust with them. Four kinds of affordances emerged from the study; internet affordance, assignment affordance, domestic affordance, and distance learning affordance. The role of the social environment is definitive in changing how students manage their affordances
Pendampingan Guru Matematika dan Siswa SDN 05 Wagirkidul dan Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Berhitung Peserta Didik Melalui Metode Jarimatika
This research is motivated by the potential of Wagirkidul Village's existing human resources in the education sector, where it is known that Wagirkidul has many educational institutions which of course the implementation of learning must be considered in order to support the success of the vision and mission of the institution, including success in learning mathematics. Because of this, the author is interested in providing service assistance to mathematics teachers at SDN 05 Wagirkidul in learning mathematics through the Jarimatika method, where the purpose of this service is to: 1) provide basic knowledge about mathematical arithmetic operations with fingers. 2) produce good modules for educators which can then be used in teaching and learning in the classroom. The method used is the method of lectures, practice, question and answer, discussion and exercises using the prepared grammar modules. The results of the data show that the ability to count has increased after using the jarimatics method, this can be seen from the results of tests on students by teachers who take part in the assistance of the jarimatics method, which are in the medium category. The numeracy skills of students who learn using the jarimatics method are better than children who learn using the usual method. So it can be concluded that the jarimatics method can make the learning process more fun and increase children's interest in learning to count
The Use of TikTok Application for Learning Speaking Skills: A Simple Teaching Research
Speaking skill is commonly reflected to be the most crucial skill to attain. Many media platforms can be used to learn speaking skills independently such as using the TikTok application. This study is intended to know and describe the students’ preferences and learning experiences regarding the use of TikTok application as a supplementary tool for enhancing speaking skills. The study was carried out with 36 students of State School 1 of Tahunan grade XI science program in the academic year 2022/2023 divided into 18 couples. The researcher used a purposive sampling technique in determining the participants. This study used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach and used questionnaires to collect data. The learning material used was a TikTok homepage or account with videos available online. The researchers asked the students to watch the videos within a two weeks time frame. The study found that the students watching the shared videos through TikTok to regularly learn in classes can help improve speaking ability. Learning speaking skills on TikTok is psychologically fun and stress-free. TikTok is relatively easy to access, varied video and interesting content, easy to understand, and the students can learn from native speakers for free. Besides, TikTok can effectively improve the students’ speaking ability.

Using ADDIE Model to develop STORE (Students on Recreation): An Environmental Exploration-Based Learning Strategy in Merdeka Curriculum
English is an international language that all students must learn so they can speak, communicate, and interact with the international community both actively and passively. Unfortunately, many teachers have difficulties in creating a communicative, comfortable, and enjoyable learning and teaching atmosphere. This results in students being less enthusiastic about learning English and feeling bored. This research aims to develop STORE (students on recreation) learning strategy based on the environmental exploration of English language learning in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and to enhance students’ well-being using the STORE learning strategy. The research method used wasresearch and development with the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluations). To collect data, the researcher used questionnaires, interviews, and observation instruments. Data were obtained from 64 7th-grade students and three English teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Bangsri. For data processing, researchers used descriptive statistics to analyze learning needs for fun outdoor recreation. Research activities were carried out through the following stages. Initial stage: needs analysis; Stage II: creating a STORE learning plan; Stage III: limited trials and evaluation. Stage IV: Draft revision; Stage V: Design validation; Stage VI: implementation and evaluation; Final stage: dissemination of research results. The research showed that the students’ learning motivation had increased. The participants indicated their preference for outdoor learning because they could explore their environment and learn simultaneously. In conclusion, the environmental exploration learning strategy can be applied to enhance students’ interest in learning English and also to implement the Merdeka curriculum

EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA STRIP STORY DENGAN METODE KOMUNIKATIF UNTUK MENINGKAT HASIL BELAJAR BAHASA ARAB PADA SISWA DI MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH DI PONDOK PESANTREN AL-MUNAWWARAH PEKANBARU
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, yaitu bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penggunaan media strip story dengan metode komunikatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa arab, dengan melihat ada tidaknya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran bahasa arab kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah "Apakah penggunaan media strip story dengan metode komunikatif efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa arab pada siswa di madrasah tsanawiyah di pondok pesantren al-munawwarah pekanbaru?". Subjek penelitian adalah guru madrasah tsanawiyah di pondok pesantren al-munawwarah pekanbaru, sedangkan objeknya adalah penggunaan media strip story dengan metode komunikatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa arab pada siswa madrasah tsanawiyah di pondok pesantren al-munawwarah pekanbaru. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas 2 madrasah tsanawiyah di pondok pesantren al-munawwarah pekanbaru tahun ajaran 2017/2018 dan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas 2 Aisyah dan 2 Fatimah. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari observasi, test dan dokumentasi. dari analisis data yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam proses pembelajaran tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran bahasa arab antara kelas yang penggunaan media strip story dengan metode komunikatif dengan yang tidak penggunaan media strip story dengan metode komunikatif. Karena nilai To = 6 lebih kecil dari Tt pada taraf signifikansi 1% = 2, 397 dan taraf signifikansi 5% = 1,673, ini berarti bahwa Ha diterima dan ho ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, penggunaan media strip story dengan metode komunikatif efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa arab pada siswa madrasah tsanawiyah di pondok pesantren al-munawwarah pekanbar
TINJAUAN YURIDIS TENTANG PENYELESAIAN PERSELISIHAN ANTARA PEKERJA DAN PERUSAHAAN (HUBUNGAN INDUSTRIAL) DALAM PERKARA NOMOR 722 K/PDT.SUS/2011
Hubungan antara pekerja dan pengusaha yang secara tertulis dituangkan
dalamperjanjian kerja tidak selamanya berjalan mulus. Ada kalanya salah satu
atau keduabelah pihak melalaikan kewajibannya dan atau tidak memenuhi
haknya. Dengan tidakdipenuhinya hak atau kewajiban tersebut, dapat
menimbulkan perselisihan hubunganindustrial antara pekerja dengan pengusaha,
seperti yang terjadi dalam perkaraNomor : 722K/Pdt.Sus/2011, perselisihan bermula
ketika Sayed Fakhry yang bertindak sebagai Penggugat dimutasi oleh PT.
Conocophillips Indonesia Inc. Ltd yang bertindak sebagai Tergugat pada badan
hukum yang berbeda yaitu ke PT. ConocoPhillips Ramba Ltd yang mana mutasi
pada badan hukum yang berbeda adalah tidak sah dan melanggar ketentuan yang
diatur dalam PKB Bab XIV ayat (1), serta UU Ketenagakerjaan No 13 Tahun
2013 dan UU Perseroan Terbatas No. 40 Tahun 2007. Hal ini kemudian menjadi
lebih kompleks lagi ketika Hakim Judex Facti memutuskan bahwa Penggugat
dinyatakan telah mengundurkan diri dari PT.ConocoPhillips Ramba Ltd, yang
mana Penggugat tidak pernah membuat perjanjian kerja dengan PT.
ConocoPhillips Ramba Ltd sebelumnya. Berdasarkan hal itu maka penulis tertarik
melakukan penelitian dengan rumusan masalah yaitu: 1).Apa penyebab
permohonan kasasi di tolak oleh Mahkamah Agung? 2). Apaakibat hukum yang
timbul dari putusan No. 722 K/Pdt. Sus/2011 tersebut?
Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian hukum normatif. Sifat
penelitian adalah penelitian deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang
dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi dokumen dan bahan pustaka.
Adapun sumber data yang dipergunakan adalah data sekunder yang dapat
dibedakan menjadi, bahan hukum primer, bahan hukum sekunder, bahan hukum
tersier.
Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa1) penyebab dari permohonan
kasasipemohon kasasi di tolak yaitu Mahkamah Agung memutuskan permohonan
kasasi pemohon kasasi di tolak karena permohonan kasasi pemohon kasasi itu
tidak sah dari tahap pengadilan hubungan industrial yaitu perkaranya dinyatakan
telah ne bis in idem. Dan bahwa keberatan pemohon kasasi tidak memenuhi
ketentuan pasal 30 Undang-undang No. 14 Tahun 1985 sebagaimana yang telah di
ubah dan di tambah dengan Undang-undang No. 5 Tahun 2004 dan perubahan ke
dua dengan Undang-undang No. 3 Tahun 2009, sehingga sehingga permohonan
kasasi di pemohon kasasi di tolak. 2) Adapun akibat hukum bagi Penggugdi
/Pemohon Kasasi adalah dinyatakan telah mengundurkan diri, yang artinya bahwa
putusnya hubungan kerja Penggugat/Pemohon Kasasi. Akibat hukum bagi
Termohon Kasasi adalah membayarkan uang pisah kepada Penggugat/Pemohon

Identity-agency and life-course agency of English teachers in Tegal City, Banyumasan area, Indonesia : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Linguistics at Massey University, Manawatū, New Zealand
Figure 3.1 was removed for copyright reasons.This study explores the identity formation of English teachers in Tegal City, Banyumasan area in Central Java, Indonesia. It draws on the frameworks of identity-agency and life-course agency within three different contexts: Ladang High School teachers, Ladang Private Tuition Centre teachers, and Ladang University pre-service teachers. It seeks to answer two research questions: 1) How does identity-agency support pre-service teachers in Tegal City to develop their professional identity? 2) What experiences contribute to the identity formation of English teachers in Tegal City within their life-course agency? A dialogical approach is used to analyse data to develop insights into how each of the nine participants exercises his/her agency in the complexity of their relationship with their social environments and values, significant others, and how they forge and navigate different pathways in making their professional identity. This study employs a qualitative approach and uses case study methods. Data was gathered through semi-structured interviews, classroom observation, narrative accounts, photographs, documents, and online contact. The first data collection stage was conducted from December 2015 to February 2016 and included site visits, observations, interviews, narrative accounts, and document collection. A researcher’s journal and field notes were used as supportive data. The second stage was conducted from August to September 2016. It was conducted through follow-up interviews and revisiting each research site to collect photographs and additional documents. The findings indicate that diverse elements contribute to the shaping of identity through life-course agency and identity-agency: religion, learning experiences, family members, regulations, and social contexts where these participants chose a particular action, changed or dropped a decision, and in so doing, they exercised their agency. Initial contact with English was generated from family members, media idols, or objects such as brochures and leaflets written in English. The teacher participants’ narratives indicated that they did not plan to be English teachers, but their journey and complex trajectories had led them to the profession. By way of contrast, the pre-service teachers’ narratives indicated that they majored in English education to be English teachers, but they ended up using English differently to shape their identity. The study concludes with implications for theory and practice arguing that the frameworks of identity-agency and life-course agency can be useful development tools for understanding both teachers’ professional lives and their trajectories in Indonesia
PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT DALAM PENANGANAN BENCANA BANJIR DI AREA SEKITAR PERTEMUAN ALIRAN SUNGAI CIKEAS DAN CILEUNGSI
Bencana banjir merupakan salah satu bencana yang sering terjadi di Indonesia, tidak terkecuali banjir di Kota Bekasi dan Bogor yang disebabkan oleh limpasan air sungai (runoff) di area sekitar pertemuan aliran sungai Cikeas dan Cileungsi. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui karakteristik banjir, dampak potensi kerugian bencana banjir dan persepsi masyarakat dalam penanganan bencana banjir di area sekitar pertemuan sungai Cikeas dan Cileungsi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) karakteristik banjir di area sekitar pertemuan aliran sungai Cikeas dan Cileungsi cukup parah, dalam setahun terjadi 1 – 3 kali banjir, penyebab banjir dikarenakan limpasan di pertemuan sungai Cikeas, Cileungsi dan sungai Bekasi, ketinggian banjir berkisar antara 1 – 3 meter, lama banjir sekitar 1 – 3 jam, arus air cukup cepat dan membawa material berupa lumpur. (2) dampak potensi kerugian masyarakat diklasifikasikan menjadi dua, yaitu masyarakat yang terdampak langsung banjir yang mengalami kerugian secara material berupa berpotensi kehilangan harta benda serta rusaknya barang berharga dan kerugian non-material berupa lumpuhnya aktivitas masyarakat. adapun masyarakat yang tidak terdampak langsung banjir adalah lumpuhnya aktifitas masyarakat, meskipun dampak banjir bagi masyarakat tersebut belum dirasakan secara langsung namun diperlukan persiapan untuk mengantisipasi datangnya banjir. (3) persepsi masyarakat dalam penanganan banjir berdasarkan ketersediaan peringatan dini baik, saat bencana banjir berupa ketersediaan tempat pengungsian dan pasokan makanan baik, pasokan air bersih dan listrik cukup serta rehabilitasi pasca banjir baik. adapun usulan masyarakat dalam penanganan banjir sudah baik, karena masyarakat mengetahui permasalahan banjir di area pertemuan sekitar aliran sungai Cikeas-Cileungsi

Flood disaster is one of the disasters that often occurs in Indonesia, including floods in the cities of Bekasi and Bogor which are caused by runoff in the area around the confluence of the Cikeas and Cileungsi rivers. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of floods, the potential impact of flood losses and the public perceptions in handling flood disasters in the area around the confluence of the Cikeas and Cileungsi rivers. The method used is quantitative with descriptive analysis. The results of this study are: (1) the characteristics of flooding in the area around the confluence of the Cikeas and Cileungsi rivers are quite severe, there are 1-3 times of flood in a year, the cause of flooding is due to runoff at the confluence of the Cikeas, Cileungsi and Bekasi rivers, the flood height ranges from between 1 – 3 meters, the duration of the flood is about 1 – 3 hours, the water current is quite fast and carries material in the form of mud. (2) the impact of potential loss to the community is classified into two, namely the people who directly affected by the flood who suffers material losses in the form of potential loss of property and damage to valuables and non-material losses in the form of paralysis of people activities. As for the people who are not directly affected by the flood, the people’s activities are paralyzed, although the impact of the flood on the community has not been felt directly but preparations are needed to anticipate the arrival of the flood. (3) Public perception in flood management based on the availability of good early warning, during a flood disaster in the form of the availability of refugee camps and good food supply, adequate supply of clean water and electricity and good post-flood rehabilitation. As for the community's proposals in handling floods, they are good, because the community knows about the flood problem in the meeting area around the Cikeas-Cileungsi river flow.

Learning media is anything that can be used to channel the sender's message to the recipient, so that it can stimulate students' thoughts, feelings, attention and interest in learning. This research highlights the importance of the role of learning media in developing the intellectual intelligence of children at SD I Mardiatul Islamiyah in Medan Tembung District. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The object of this research is the 3rd grade students of SD I Mardiatul Islamiyah. The techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation techniques. From the survey results, problems during teaching are where children have difficulty learning, in educating children to learn and solve problems so that children can think more, and we use learning tools to find out characteristics in children.
