    Abstrak-Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan antara kemampuan menggunakan kata penghubung dengan kemampuan menyusun kalimat menjadi paragraf deduktif oleh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Muara. Populasi Penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri  1 Muara yang berjumlah 200 orang. Sampel penelitian diambil 15% dari jumlah populasi yaitu 30 orang dengan teknik random sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif korelasional. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan berganda. Pengujian Hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi Product Moment ( ). Setelah  diketahui, selanjutnya dikonsultasikan dengan  pada taraf signifikan 5% dan 1 % dengan N=30 yaitu (0,361 dan 0,463). Karena yang diperoleh dari  yaitu 0,531 > 0,361 dan 0,531 > 0,463, maka hipotesis alternative (Ha) diterima. Hal ini berarti terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kemampuan menggunakan kata penghubung dengan kemampuan kemampuan menyusun kalimat menjadi paragraf deduktif oleh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Muara.     TRAINING ON POETRY WRITING WITH ACROSSTIC TECHNIQUES IN STUDENTS OF CLASS XI SMA METHODIST IV MEDAN

    Abstrak: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Methodist IV Medan. Tujuan pelaksanaan PkM ini adalah (1) untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan pengetahuan siswa mengenai prosedur penulisan puisi dengan teknik akrostik; (2) Meningkatkan kreativitas menulis siswa khususnya menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik. Subjek dalam kegiatan PkM ini ialah siswa-siswi kelas XI SMA Methodist IV Medan yang berjumlah 30 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah metode demonstrasi dan metode ceramah. Dalam menjelaskan materi berupa hakikat puisi akrostik dan mekanisme penulisan puisi dengan teknik akrostik digunakan metode ceramah. Dalam praktik menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik digunakan metode demonstrasi. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat terlaksana dengan baik tidak terlepas dari dukungan beberapa unsur yaitu LPPM sebagai lembaga penyedia dana kegiatan pelatihan, kepala sekolah, wakil kepada sekolah, serta para guru sebagai mitra yang memfasilitasi pelaksanaan pelatihan, serta para siswa kelas XI SMA Methodist IV yang sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini adalah siswa secara keseluruhan mampu menulis puisi dengan teknik akrostik. Hasil ini dapat dibuktikan dari nilai rata-rata 79 dengan jumlah skor 2364 dan hasil tersebut termasuk dalam kategori baik.Abstract:  This Community Service (PkM) was carried out on class XI students of SMA Methodist IV Medan. The objectives of this PkM implementation are (1) to increase students' understanding and knowledge of the procedures for writing poetry using acrostic techniques; (2) Improving students' writing creativity, especially writing poetry with acrostic techniques. The subjects in this PkM activity were students of class XI SMA Methodist IV Medan, totaling 30 people. The method used in this training is the demonstration method and the lecture method. In explaining the material in the form of the nature of acrostic poetry and the mechanism of writing poetry with acrostic techniques, the lecture method is used. In the practice of writing poetry with acrostic techniques, demonstration methods are used. This training activity can be carried out properly and cannot be separated from the support of several elements, namely LPPM as an institution that provides funding for training activities, school principals, representatives to schools, and teachers as partners who facilitate the implementation of the training, as well as students of class XI SMA Methodist IV who are very enthusiastic. attend training. The result of this training is that overall students are able to write poetry with acrostic techniques. This result can be proven from the average value of 79 with a total score of 2364 and these results are included in the good category

    Development of Early Grade Indonesian E-Modules Using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application

    This article aims to 1) Produce products in the form of e-modules for Early Class Indonesian courses using the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application; 2) To find out the feasibility of developing an e-module based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker Application in the Early class Indonesian language course; 3) To find out students' responses to the development of e-modules based on the Kvisoft Flipbook Maker application in the Early Grade Indonesian course. The type of research conducted is research and development (R&D). The development model used in this study is a 4-D development model (four D Model), namely define activities, design activities, development activities and are validated by experts and see the practicality of e-module products. 1) The results of material expert validation obtained an average of 86% in the very feasible category. Second, media experts get an average of 93% in the very decent category. Third, linguists get an average of 87% with a very decent category. Then, in individual trials, students responded to this e-module in the very good category with an average percentage of 93%. In the small group trial, the students' responses were in the very good category with an average percentage of 92.25%. Meanwhile, in the limited field group trial, the criteria of "good" were obtained with an average score percentage of 87,08%. Based on this percentage, it can be concluded that this e-module is suitable to be used as teaching material for Indonesian language courses in the Early Class of HKBP Nommensen, Pematangsiantar University.     Application of Google Classroom Media to Improve Social Studies Learning Outcomes The Environmental Theme of Our Friends in Class V of Elementary School

    This study aims to determine the use of the Google Classroom application on social studies learning outcomes theme 8 Neighborhoods of Our Friends for class V SDN 091329 Bahpasunsang. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of 2 cycles in which each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique used is observation and test of learning outcomes. The results showed that in the pre-test of 33 students there were 33 students (100%) who did not reach the level of mastery learning with a class average of 22.2, then in the first cycle, 16 people (48.5%) students who achieved the level of complete learning with an average value of 55.6 while students who did not complete as many as 17 people (51.5%). In the second cycle as many as 32 people (94%) students who reached the level of mastery learning with an average value of 85.8 and 2 people (6%) students who did not complete. Thus, it can be concluded that Google Classroom-Based Blended Learning can improve student learning outcomes in social studies lessons with the theme Our Friendship Environment in Grade V Elementary School. As a follow-up, it is suggested for teachers to be able to design and use Google Classroom-Based Blended Learning in improving students' social studies learning outcomes

    This study aims to describe the effectiveness of online learning using Google Class Room (GCR) online media during the COVID-19 pandemic for Indonesian language curriculum studies. This research is a descriptive quantitative research using online media, namely google form. The research population was all sixth semester students of PGSD using random sampling technique by considering population homogeneity. The data collection instrument used an online learning questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. The results of the study illustrate that students assess learning in Indonesian language curriculum studies using GCR online media, namely students assess learning Indonesian language curriculum studies using effective online media (60%), most of them (37%) are average and very effective ( 3%). Finally, to improve the quality of learning for Indonesian language curriculum studies during the COVID-19 pandemic, lecturers must comply with suggestions from respondents, namely implementing new strategies, conducting more discussions, providing concise and easy-to-understand material and adding more videos. interesting again

    Participants in this multimode socialization activity were the teachers of SD Negeri No. 122372 Pematangsiantar, totaling 10 people. This socialization activity was carried out on Monday-Tuesday, 23-24 October 2018 starting at 09.00 WIB. This socialization activity aims to: (1) provide knowledge to teachers of SD Negeri No. 122372 Pematangsiantar nature and stages of implementation of multimodel in learning; (2) increase the creativity of SD Negeri No. 122372 Pematangsiantar in the learning process in the classroom. The method of implementing Community Service Activities is carried out in the form of socialization and direct practice in the classroom. This multimodel socialization activity has been carried out well according to the schedule of activities, starting from the initial, core and final activities. In general, teachers have been able to apply multimodel in learning according to the first phase to the fifth phase. This can be proven from 10 respondents 24.04% voted strongly agree that the use of multi-models in learning is very important and useful, while 75.96% said they agreed that the use of multi-models in learning is very important and useful.    &nbsp

    The Utilization of Animation Media on Wortschatz Learning Outcomes and Motivation of Undergraduate Students of German Language

    The aim of the research was to see how effective learning media in terms of wortschatz learning outcomes and German students' motivation to learn. The research method used was, a quasi-experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest. Essay tests and a motivation questionnaire are among the research instruments. The Researche use one quesetion for essay test and use twelve questions for motivation questionnaire.  The  showed that animation media can improve learning by increasing their wortschatz learning outcomes and motivation. This is shown by t-test results with sig. 0.000 and count -12.43. The application of animation media improves students' motivation to learn. with a sig. of 0.000, the  gives a  of -14.72

    Teacher's Competence: Applying the Problem-Based Learning Model through Academic Supervision

    This study aimed to improve the professional competence of Indonesian language teachers in applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model at State Senior High School 1 Muara. This research is a Classroom Action Research involving 6 Indonesian language teachers. The research was conducted in two cycles, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Aspects measured in the observations were teacher teaching performance, teacher interaction with researchers, interaction with other Indonesian language subject teachers, collaboration with other teachers, making lesson plans, learning processes, evaluating the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL). From the data analysis, it was found that there was an increase in teacher activity and competence in implementing the PBL model. In the initial condition, from 54.00 (criteria for poor score) increased to 66.00 (criteria for sufficient value) and 76.00 (criteria for good value). In the aspect of learning implementation, the average score of 55.21 (criteria for low scores) increased to 65.43 (sufficient value criteria) and 75.43 (good value criteria) in the second cycle. In the aspect of assessment of learning outcomes, from an average of 53.58 (criteria for poor scores) to 65.42 (criteria for good scores) and 77.42 (criteria for good scores). Also, in the aspect of classroom management from 54.00 enough and 75.83 ( good grade criteria). From the results above, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model with academic supervision has been proven to improve the professional competence of teachers in managing the learning proces

    Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa melalui metode pembelajaran Cooperatif Learning Tipe Zigsaw pada sub tema tumbuhan sahabatku kelas VI SD RK Nomor 3 Sibolga. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research). Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan kolaborasi antara peneliti, guru dan melibatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas VI SD RK Nomor 3 Sibolga tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket sederhana. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap: (a) perencanaan tindakan, (b) pelaksanaan tindakan, (c) observasi dan interpretasi, dan (d) analisis dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, metode pembelajaran Cooperatif Learning Tipe Zigsaw dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penerapan metode pembelajaran Cooperatif Learning Tipe Zigsaw Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas yang telah dilakukan di kelas VI SD RK Nomor 3 Sibolga dapat disimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada sub tema tumbuhan sahabatku.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: Pengaruh Model Kontekstual terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Subtema 3 Lingkungan dan Manfaatnya di Kelas V SD Negeri 091450 Bahtongguran Pematangsiantar T.A 2022/2023. Jenis peneltian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Kuantitatif, yang menyatakan bahwa penelitaian kuantitatif merupakan penelitian yang berupa angka-angka serta analisisnya menggunakan statistik. Desain penelitian yang akan digunakan yaitu eksperimen, dengan bentuk Pre-Experimental Design yang menggunakan desain “one group pretest posttest design”. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas V SD Negeri 091450 Bahtongguran yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes. Hasil dari pengujian hipotesis penelitian yaitu terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penelitian ini dari data yang sudah diujikan datanya dapat dilihat dari analisis data diperoleh hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen pada pre-test (47.05) dan post-test (81,72). Hasil penelitian pada taraf 0,5 berdasarkan analisis data nilai pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig (2-tailend) 0,00 < 0,05, dimana Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik yang menggunakan Model Kontekstual terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada subtema 3 lingkungan dan manfaatnya di kelas V SD Negeri 091450 Bahtongguran Tahun ajaran 2022/2023
