    Get PDF
A series of six pyrazoles was synthesized by Michael-type addition reaction. The molecules 5- amino-1-aryl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbonitrile (3a-f) were synthesized from (ethoxymethylene)malononitrile (1) and fluorinated and non-fluorinated aryl hydrazines (2a-f) using ethanol and fluorinated ethanol as solvents at reflux. An excellent regio-selectivity was found when pyrazole derivatives were formed as an exclusive product. No other regioisomer or uncyclised hydrazide was observed. Their structures were confirmed by spectroscopy data (1H, 13C, 19F, COSY (correlation spectroscopy), HSQC (heteronuclear single-quantum correlation spectroscopy) and HMBC (heteronuclear multiple-bond correlation spectroscopy); MS (mass-spectrometry). The yields ranged from good to excellent (47% - 93%) under mild reaction conditions. It would indicate a high selectivity in the one-step work procedure. These products (3a-f) and derivatives have a potential academic and industrial use as key intermediates, in special, for application in crop protection.Fil: Plem, Silvana Cristina. Virtual reality (VR) was found to be effective in the treatment of several specific psychopathologies. However, the effects of VR-based interventions beyond the disorder-specific approach and their ability to improve transdiagnostic factors of mental disorders are unknown. This PRISMA systematic review was conducted using databases PubMed and PsycINFO, searching articles published between 2010 and September 2022. Keywords "emotion regulation", "cognitive reappraisal", "avoidance", "impulsivity", "aggression", and "disinhibition" were combined with "virtual reality" to retrieve studies showing the effects of VR-based interventions on these transdiagnostic factors. 29 experimental studies and seven case-studies were selected. A total of 23 considered avoidance, eight dealt with emotion regulation, three concerned aggression, two addressed impulsivity, two dealt with cognitive reappraisal, and none examined disinhibition. Most of the studies included anxiety disorder patients (n = 15), especially with specific phobias (n = 8) and social anxiety disorder (n = 4). VR managed to improve all transdiagnostic factors, with results often maintained at follow-ups (n = 21 studies; range: 1-12 months) and similar to traditional interventions (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy). Exploring the transdiagnostic potential of VR may help to reduce costs and improve applicability in clinical psychology. While results were promising, further studies are needed for aggression, impulsivity and cognitive reappraisal, especially including follow-ups, comparisons with first-line treatments, and understudied clinical populations

A Framework for Applying Reinforcement Learning to Deadlock Handling in Intralogistics

    Get PDF
Intralogistics systems, while complex, are crucial for a range of industries. One of their challenges is deadlock situations that can disrupt operations and decrease efficiency. This paper presents a four-stage framework for applying reinforcement learning algorithms to manage deadlocks in such systems. The stages include Problem Formulation, Model Selection, Algorithm Selection, and System Deployment. We carefully identify the problem, select an appropriate model to represent the system, choose a suitable reinforcement learning algorithm, and finally deploy the solution. Our approach provides a structured method to tackle deadlocks, improving system resilience and responsiveness. This comprehensive guide can serve researchers and practitioners alike, offering a new avenue for enhancing intralogistics performance. Future research can explore the framework’s effectiveness and applicability across different systems

<p>Abstract</p> <p>Objectives</p> <p>The purpose of this study was to compare cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) and echocardiography (echo) in patients treated with primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with emphasis on the analysis of left ventricular function and left ventricular wall motion characteristics.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>We performed CMR and echo in 52 patients with first AMI shortly after primary angioplasty and four months thereafter. CMR included cine-MR and T1-weighted first-pass and late-gadolinium enhancement (LGE) sequences. Global ejection fraction (EFCMR, %) and regional left ventricular function (systolic wall thickening %, [SWT]) were determined from cine-MR images. In echo the global left ventricular function (EFecho, %) and regional wall motion abnormalities were determined. A segment in echo was scored as "infarcted" if it was visually > 50% hypokinetic.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>EFecho revealed a poor significant agreement with EFCMR at baseline (r: 0.326; p < 0.01) but higher correlation at follow-up (r: 0.479; p < 0.001). The number of infarcted segments in echocardiography correlated best with the number of segments which showed systolic wall thickening < 30% (r: 0.498; p < 0.001) at baseline and (r: 0.474; p < 0.001) at follow-up. Improvement of EF was detected in both CMR and echocardiography increasing from 44.2 ± 11.6% to 49.2 ± 11% (p < 0.001) by CMR and from 51.2 ± 8.1% to 54.5 ± 8.3% (p < 0.001) by echocardiography.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>Wall motion and EF by CMR and echocardiography correlate poorly in the acute stage of myocardial infarction. Correlation improves after four months. Systolic wall thickening by CMR < 30% indicates an infarcted segment with influence on the left ventricular function.</p
