Project Work presented as the partial requirement for obtaining a Master's degree in Information Management, specialization in Knowledge Management and Business IntelligenceData can have immense public value, and although Open Data has been made available on the internet mostly by governments and public institutions having as a main justification the “public interest”, most of what is turned public, is done so in formats not suitable to the eyes of most of the public which they are aimed to. The high level of digital literacy needed to turn this data into useful information continues to keep virtually inaccessible what was supposed to be Open Data. This work aims exclusively on data over the education sector, but this situation is also true for data involving other sectors of organized society. This Open Data which is virtually “locked data” have grave relevance to students, parents, and society. This work aims to give a humble step towards exploring the lack of accessibility for information extracted from Open Data on the Portuguese educational sector to collect data that are relevant to future graduates on the choice for a university aiming to create a platform where these students can access visualizations linked to key decision factors relevant when choosing a place to study, including information about the city, the country, and the university. This way, this work intends also to create encouragement to more initiatives which can help to “translate” data for the good of the broad public

Training needs assessment : where we are and where we should go

The aim of this article is to systematically review Training Needs Assessment (TNA) scientific literature. Based on two research questions (where are we? where should we go?), we hoped to evaluate the current state of scientific production on TNA and to point out some possible developments. The following databases were consulted: Web of Knowledge, Ovid, Proquest, Wiley Online Library, Emerald, PsycNet, CAPES Database and Scielo. Fifty-One articles were analyzed. The results show that: (a) there is little agreement on how to measure training needs; (b) most of the current TNA models and methods are reactive and do not consider contextual factors and multiple levels of analysis in a proactive way; (c) there are gaps in TNA and a need for theoretical definitions; (d) there is little concern with building theories and concepts related to TNA. Based on these findings, we point out that TNA practice and research should: (a) be based exclusively on measurable human competences gaps, in multiple possible levels of analysis; (b) not focus only on individual professional roles, but also on internal and external contextual factors that can be important in the future; (c) discuss and criticize in depth what work needs, training needs and training needs assessment mean; (d) elaborate and test TNA theories, concepts, models and methods

Objectives: The objective of this study was to compare how prostheses implemented with screwed and cemented supports, to evaluate the advantages and advantages of each method in clinical practice through a narrative review of the literature. Material and methods: The methodology was to review the literature in the MEDLINE/Pubmed, Bireme and Science Direct databases using descriptors in Portuguese and English, a saber: “Próteses implanto-suportadas”, “Próteses implanto-suportadas parafusadas”; “Próteses implanto-suportadas cimentadas”; “Prostheses supported by implants”; "Screw"; “Cemented” and associated variables. The period used as an inclusion criterion includes the last 13 years, that is, only articles published between the years 2007 to 2020 and articles published in Portuguese and English are used. Results: Each retention method has advantages and disadvantages, making the best choice depend on the characteristics according to the required for each patient. As a result, it can be mentioned that, regardless of the technique, excellent results can be achieved in terms of aesthetics, resilience, retention, biomechanics, occlusion, reversibility, among others. Conclusions: In general, changes in the type of restoration are usually used in unit rehabilitations, where the aesthetic appeal seems to be the central point of choice, whereas screw-type practices anchor their main advantage as being a reversibility in case associated problems

Transactions Cost Theory influence in strategy research: A review through a bibliometric study in leading journals

Transaction cost theory (TCT) is widely used in several management disciplines. Its value for explaining organizational phenomena and managers? decisions is well accepted and has been recognized with two Nobel laureates (Ronald Coase and Oliver Williamson). In this paper we examine the impact of the TCT on extant research in top tier management journals. We conduct a bibliometric study supported in the analysis of citations and co-citations to uncover the connections between authors and presumably theories. We conclude that the TCT, albeit its specific focus on the transactions as the unit of analysis, is present in a majority of management- and business-related research.transaction costs theory, bibliometric study, strategy research, review

The objective of this work is to analyze how Castro Alves in his poetics understood the construction of Africa, as well as his representation of the transatlantic crossing, and also in this perspective, to understand the role of constructing an allusion to Palmares, clearly a resistance of the blacks to the slave system, which we call Africa to Brazilian. In this way, we intend to travel in the representation that the poet made about Africa in Vozes D'África (1868), the crossing in Navio Negreiro (1868) and the construction of a freedom, in slavery soil in Salute to Palmares (1870). Methodologically, for this research was selected only three poems to understand his thinking, present in his work The Slaves (1883), which brought together his poetic production posthumously, always positioned contrary to slavery and the situation of the Negro by Brazilian slave society. As a theoretical support, we base our studies on Edison Carneiro (1937), Costa e Silva (2006), Afrânio Peixoto (1947), João José Reis (1995), Rocha Pitta (1952), Nina Rodrigues (1976) and Paul Gilroy) that allied with other researchers we could understand this archeology of the thought of Castro Alves. In spite of the innumerable incongruities that the poet presents in his poetry, he dedicates himself to uncommon questions that is the black and his enslavement, presenting him sometimes as participant, agent and fighter, now presents as suffering and docile, leaving puzzles in his thoughts about freedom in his poetics.
