A new Approach to Erdos Collaboration Network using PageRank

    Get PDF
Using the data on Paul Erdos, his co-authors and their co-authors, we can construct a network called the Erd?s Collaboration network. Then we do reduction, analysis and visualization with it using program Pajek. In this paper, we develop a reasonable academic influence measuring method applying PageRank algorithm on the case of the Erd?s Collaboration network. We find that ALON, NOGA M is the most influential mathematician in the network. In addition, to measure impact, we construct a dynamic model, whereas it needs too much data for us to calculate the dynamic index. Keywords: PageRank, Collaboration network, Network analysis

SurrealDriver: Designing Generative Driver Agent Simulation Framework in Urban Contexts based on Large Language Model

Simulation plays a critical role in the research and development of autonomous driving and intelligent transportation systems. However, the current simulation platforms exhibit limitations in the realism and diversity of agent behaviors, which impede the transfer of simulation outcomes to the real world. In this paper, we propose a generative driver agent simulation framework based on large language models (LLMs), capable of perceiving complex traffic scenarios and providing realistic driving maneuvers. Notably, we conducted interviews with 24 drivers and used their detailed descriptions of driving behavior as chain-of-thought prompts to develop a `coach agent' module, which can evaluate and assist driver agents in accumulating driving experience and developing human-like driving styles. Through practical simulation experiments and user experiments, we validate the feasibility of this framework in generating reliable driver agents and analyze the roles of each module. The results show that the framework with full architect decreased the collision rate by 81.04% and increased the human-likeness by 50%. Our research proposes the first urban context driver agent simulation framework based on LLMs and provides valuable insights into the future of agent simulation for complex tasks.Comment: 12 pages, 8 figure

Triptolide modulates adriamycin sensitivity via regulating Mir-21 and Bcl-2 expression in K562/A02 cell line

Drug resistance is a major obstacle for successful treatment of leukemia. Increasing evidence suggests that microRNA-21 (miR-21) is over-expressed in K562/A02 cell line, promoting drug resistance. The aim of our present study is to investigate the reversal effects of triptolide on drug resistance in adriamycin-resistant cells. Cell viability was measured by MTT assays and adriamycin induced apoptosis was evaluated by flow cytometry. Levels of miR-21 quantified by real-time PCR. Bcl-2 protein level were measured by western blot. TPL enhanced sensitivity of K562/A02 cells to adriamycin and promoted adriamycin–induced apoptosis. Levels of miR-21 and Bcl-2 was significantly decreased after triptolide treatment. Transfection with anti-miR-21, a significant up-regulation of sensitivity to adriamycin and a significant down-regulation of Bcl-2 protein level was noted in K562/A02 cells. Our study suggests that triptolide significantly sensitizes K562/A02 cell to adriamycin by inducing apoptosis and these effects of triptolide may be due to its down-regulation of miR-21.Colegio de Farmacéuticos de la Provincia de Buenos Aire

Development of a Fully Human Anti-PDGFRβ Antibody That Suppresses Growth of Human Tumor Xenografts and Enhances Antitumor Activity of an Anti-VEGFR2 Antibody

Platelet-derived growth factor receptor β (PDGFRβ) is upregulated in most of solid tumors. It is expressed by pericytes/smooth muscle cells, fibroblast, macrophage, and certain tumor cells. Several PDGF receptor-related antagonists are being developed as potential antitumor agents and have demonstrated promising antitumor activity in both preclinical and clinical settings. Here, we produced a fully human neutralizing antibody, IMC-2C5, directed against PDGFRβ from an antibody phage display library. IMC-2C5 binds to both human and mouse PDGFRβ and blocks PDGF-B from binding to the receptor. IMC-2C5 also blocks ligand-stimulated activation of PDGFRβ and downstream signaling molecules in tumor cells. In animal studies, IMC-2C5 significantly delayed the growth of OVCAR-8 and NCI-H460 human tumor xenografts in nude mice but failed to show antitumor activities in OVCAR-5 and Caki-1 xenografts. Our results indicate that the antitumor efficacy of IMC-2C5 is primarily due to its effects on tumor stroma, rather than on tumor cells directly. Combination of IMC-2C5 and DC101, an anti-mouse vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 antibody, resulted in significantly enhanced antitumor activity in BxPC-3, NCI-H460, and HCT-116 xenografts, compared with DC101 alone, and the trend of additive effects to DC101 treatment in several other tumor models. ELISA analysis of NCI-H460 tumor homogenates showed that IMC-2C5 attenuated protein level of vascular endothelial growth factor and basic fibroblast growth factor elevated by DC101 treatment. Finally, IMC-2C5 showed a trend of additive effects when combined with DC101/chemotherapy in MIA-PaCa-2 and NCI-H460 models. Taken together, these results lend great support to the use of PDGFRβ antagonists in combination with other antiangiogenic agents in the treatment of a broad range of human cancers

Past 140-year environmental record in the northern South China Sea: Evidence from coral skeletal trace metal variations

About 140-year changes in the trace metals in Porites coral samples from two locations in the northern South China Sea were investigated. Results of PCA analyses suggest that near the coast, terrestrial input impacted behavior of trace metals by 28.4%, impact of Sea Surface Temperature (SST) was 19.0%, contribution of war and infrastructure were 14.4% and 15.6% respectively. But for a location in the open sea, contribution of War and SST reached 33.2% and 16.5%, while activities of infrastructure and guano exploration reached 13.2% and 14.7%. While the spatiotemporal change model of Cu, Cd and Pb in seawater of the north area of South China Sea during 1986-1997 were reconstructed. It was found that in the sea area Cu and Cd contaminations were distributed near the coast while areas around Sanya, Hainan had high Pb levels because of the well-developed tourism related activities. Temporal variability of visibility and its parameterizations in Ningbo, China

Simultaneous and continuous measurements of visibility, meteorological parameters and air pollutants were carried out at a suburban site in Ningbo from June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2015. The characteristics of visibility and their relationships with air pollutants and meteorological factors were investigated using multiple statistical methods. Daily visibility ranged from 0.6 to 34.1 km, with a mean value of 11.8 km. During the 2-year experiment, 43.4% of daily visibility was found to be less than 10.0 km and only 9.2% was greater than 20.0 km. Visibility was lower in winter with a frequency of 53.4% in the range of 0.0–5.0 km. Annual visibility had an obvious diurnal variation, with the lowest and highest visibility being 7.5 km at approximately 06:00 local time and 15.6 km at approximately 14:00 local time, respectively. Multiple correspondence analysis (MCA) indicated that the different ranges of visibility were significantly affected by different levels of pollutants and meteorological conditions. Based on the analyses, visibility was found to be an exponential function of PM2.5 concentrations within a certain range of relative humidity. Thus, non-linear models combining multiple linear regressions with exponential regression were subsequently developed using the data collected from June 2014 to May 2015, and the data from June 2013 to May 2014 was used to evaluate the performance of the model. It was demonstrated that the derived models can quantitatively describe the relationships between visibility, air quality and meteorological parameters in Ningbo
