Inappropriate use of medications may decrease or exempt the expected therapeutic effect. The objective of this study was to promote pharmacotherapeutic follow-up in a patient with psoriasis under treatment with methotrexate (MTX). The method used was the case study type. The data were collected through consultation, using a structured clinical document and adapted from the Dáder method. During follow-up, misuse of folic acid was identified, which should be administered once a week after administration of MTX, and the patient administered 1 tablet daily until the end of the card. MTX has been shown to interact with hydrochlorothiazide, which may lead to severe leukopenia. The possibility of a severe interaction between MTX and NSAIDs was also observed, a relevant factor since the patient's main complaint was hyperalgesia, a fact that may lead to self-medication and anti-inflammatory use. The data obtained were discussed with the nurse and the doctor of basic health unit, to elaborate the pharmaceutical Intervention. The pharmaceutical intervention allowed correcting the detected problems, as well as stimulating the patient to be able to promote self-care. The importance of the multidisciplinary team in decision-making was perceived during the work

Ants are used as indicators of environmental quality, as they have desirable characteristics for that aim. The objectives of this study were to compare Formicidae diversity in natural pasture with and without cattle grazing, determine functional groups present in both environments and establish their disturbance level. Manual capturing and food attractants (baits) were used for sampling. Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Sörensen Similarity Index, Berger Parker (d) dominance index and predominant functional group were calculated in this study. Overall, 4,533 ants grouped in four subfamilies and 11 genera were identified. The grazed pasture (GP) diversity (H’) was 1.97 and Solenopsis sp1 (Myrmicinae) was the dominant specie (d=0.54); in the ungrazed pasture (UP) H’ was 2.57 and Pheidole sp. (Myrmicinae) the dominant specie (d=0.46). In the UP the Formicidae found was distributed in four functional groups, being the majority groups Generalized Myrmicinae (46.57%) and Hot Climate Specialists (40.79%); while in the GP the Hot Climate Specialists relative abundance grew (52.76%) compared to Generalized Myrmicinae (35.5%) and other three functional groups were identified, that were not founded in UP (Dominant Dolichoderinae, Cryptic and Subordinate Camponotini). It can be concluded that the Hot Climate Specialists and Generalized Myrmicinae predominance indicates that those environments are under intermediate stress and moderately high disturbance. The use of ant functional groups offers more information than the diversity index analysis.Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias y Forestale

This study follows a circular economy approach through the preliminary implementation of a coated porous inorganic material (PIM), studied as sustainable controlled release fertilizer, and its application for lettuce Lactuca sativa L. cultivar Chiara growth. The PIM was made of pumice scraps that partially replaced clay as a natural raw material, spent coffee grounds as a porous agent, bovine bone ash and potassium carbonate to provide phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) nutrients, respectively. A coating made with defatted black soldier fly prepupae biomass was used as a nitrogen (N) source. Most of the ingredients used were industrial residues, with the aim of valorizing the raw waste materials present locally. The suitability of PIMs as a fertilizer was investigated with an interdisciplinary approach, which included the first chemical and physical characterization of the material, the evaluation of its antibacterial properties and of its use in horticulture through lettuce growth tests. As tests were carried out indoors, a specific LED lighting device was used to grow the lettuce. The release of nutrients into the soil was estimated by measuring the main elements in the fertilizers before and after their use in the soil. The first results from this characterization study support PIMs’ suitability for agronomic applications. The use of the PIMs suggested average higher dry weight (49%), fresh weight (112%), and leaf area (48%), compared to those with the use of a standard fertilizer soil, without the release of any dangerous element for the plant in the soil. These results are a promising beginning for the development of further studies already in progress on sustainable controlled-release fertilizers

Spread across the planet each human being, individually or in community, aspires for well-being and quality of life, according to the ideal of each one. However, we all believe that there are always ways to live better. For many people the measurement of a better life translates into the guarantee of social rights, the right to basic services, good land, seed and sufficient nutritious food for their community members. The Mechanism to Facilitate the Participation of Universities in the Food and Nutrition Security Council of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries is a cooperative academic network fomented by the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) with support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. This mechanism works with teaching, research and extension in the CPLP Food and Nutrition Security Strategy. The pillars of CPLP Strategy are the strengthening of the governance of public policies on Food and Nutrition Security at all levels of government, social protection based on guaranteeing access to food and family farming with a strategy to increase the availability of good quality food, promoting social and environmental sustainability. CPLP University Mechanism has provided training processes for technicians who work in public policies for Food and Nutrition Security and has contributed to the strengthening of postgraduate programs in Portuguese-speaking African countries. As consequence, it has favored participatory research and mixed methods as a theoretical methodological approach. Therefore, it seeks to focus on the territories of Food and Nutrition Security practices to transform reality, as recommended by CPLP Strategy, however, with the autonomous assumptions of the collaborative network. This chapter presents how local researchers perceive the results of a process of inducing an academic network to transform the local reality and promote Food and Nutrition Security in the context of the CPLP

Desse modo, ficou evidente a necessidade do professor ter oportunidades para compreender a amplitude e abrangência do corpo, do movimento e da Dança na escola a partir da sua postura em relação ao seu próprio corpo...The present research had as objective offers to the teachers of Infantile Education of a school in the Municipal City hall of São Paulo, a course of continuous formation in context, on the language of dance, opening them an opportunity to reflect about the body, the movement and the Dance in the school environment. And from that course, to verify which they were the constructions, the notes made by them and the possible conception changes regarding that language. Thus, this formation considered the perspective of reflective practice and the Dance as art and support the creative, interpretative and educational action.
